At a glance
Rated 4 stars, Disney’s Newport Bay Club stands out for its sheer size. With 1093 rooms, it’s the largest hotel at Disneyland Paris, with an impressive capacity to welcome a very wide range of visitors.
From the moment you arrive, the architecture by Robert A. M. Stern transports guests to the elegant seaside resorts on the East Coast of the US. The interior design is built around a strong nautical theme: shades of blue and beige, wood panelling and countless objects recalling the America’s Cup are scattered throughout to recreate the atmosphere of a real yacht club.
As for accommodation, from a classic family room to a premium suite in the Compass Club range, this Disney hotel guarantees quality service. Its guests can enjoy a large aquatic complex with pools and a calm atmosphere, ideal for resting after a day on the rides.
Seaside atmosphere. The architecture takes its cue from the 1920s New England seaside resorts, facing the Disney lake. There’s a huge heated indoor and outdoor pool to unwind in after the parks. The Yacht Club serves fish specialities in a refined setting like a white ocean liner.
History
Opened on 12 April 1992 with the rest of the resort, the Newport Bay Club is the largest hotel at Disneyland Paris, designed by architect Robert A.M. Stern in the style of New England seaside resorts.
A major refurbishment from 2013 to 2016 earned it a fourth star, with the creation of the premium Compass Club floor in place of the former Admiral’s Floor.

Who it’s for
Pros and cons
Strong points
- Parks reachable on foot in 15 minutes along the lake
- Heated indoor and outdoor pool with ocean liner decor
- Daily meet and greets with Disney characters in sailor outfits
- Spacious rooms sleeping up to 4 people
Weak points
- Extremely long hotel corridors to walk
- Rooms sometimes not soundproofed enough
- Furniture and interior decor showing signs of age
My verdict
The Newport Bay Club impresses with its huge size on the lakefront, but that scale is also its main drawback. The 1900s nautical decor is elegant, but the hotel sometimes suffers from overcrowding.
On my 2 stays here, the most recent in 2025, my honest verdict stayed the same: the corridors are endless and queuing for the lifts or at breakfast takes plenty of patience. The beds are comfortable and the indoor pool is superb, but some of the finishes are starting to look a bit dated. Going for the Compass Club perks lets you avoid the crowds on busy days thanks to the private areas, which completely changes the experience.
It’s a good option for big families or lovers of a nautical atmosphere who don’t mind walking a bit. Avoid it if you hate large impersonal hotels and queuing inside a hotel, but I strongly recommend it for families with a baby or young child.

Your questions about this hotel
01 Which Disney hotels have a pool?
5 of the 7 official Disney hotels have a pool: the Disneyland Hotel (indoor pool only, with hot tub, steam room and sauna), the Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel (indoor and outdoor), the Newport Bay Club (indoor and outdoor with a large pool), the Sequoia Lodge (indoor and outdoor) and the Davy Crockett Ranch (indoor, the largest in the resort, with a slide). The Hotel Cheyenne and the Hotel Santa Fe don’t have a pool.
02 Which Disney hotel has the best pool for kids?
For a fun pool, go for a hotel with a slide: the Sequoia Lodge (Quarry Pool) and the Davy Crockett Ranch are the only two that have one. The Sequoia Lodge is my top pick for a family coming on foot. The Davy Crockett Ranch has the largest pool in the resort, with a slide and waterfalls, but you can only get there by car. If you prefer large shallow areas for toddlers, the Newport Bay Club and the Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel are very well suited. Armbands and rubber rings are lent free of charge.
03 Which Disney hotel offers the best value for money?
For me, the Hotel Cheyenne offers the best value for money: an immersive Wild West atmosphere at an affordable price, ideal for families. The Newport Bay Club comes a close second, with its large pool and comfortable rooms at a reasonable price for what you get. It all depends on your priorities (theme, pool, distance), but the Cheyenne is still my favourite when you’re watching your budget.
04 Which Disney hotel should you choose with kids?
For a stay with kids, I recommend the Hotel Cheyenne: a very immersive Wild West atmosphere (saloon, Western streets, ponies) at an affordable price, and little ones love it. The Newport Bay Club is also an excellent choice thanks to its large pool with children’s areas. The Sequoia Lodge appeals to families who like a Disney-style forest atmosphere. Avoid the Davy Crockett Ranch if you don’t have a car, as getting to the parks from there is more of a hassle.
05 What are the themes of the Disney hotels?
Each Disney hotel has its own world: the Disneyland Hotel has a princess and royal theme, Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel celebrates the Marvel superheroes through works of art, the Newport Bay Club recalls nautical New England, the Sequoia Lodge takes you into the forest in the style of Bambi, Disney Hotel Cheyenne recreates a Wild West town with its saloon, Disney Hotel Santa Fe draws on Cars and Route 66, and the Davy Crockett Ranch offers mobile homes deep in the woods.
