At a glance
The Disney Davy Crockett Ranch is a one-of-a-kind Disney place to stay, set in the countryside about 15 minutes’ drive from Disneyland Paris. Rather than a classic hotel, it offers 584 detached wooden bungalows spread across 57 hectares of woodland, with a feel that recalls the great American national parks of the trapper era.
Each bungalow sleeps up to 6 people and has a fully fitted kitchen, a private terrace with a picnic table and barbecue, and its own parking space. Being fully self-catering means you can make your own meals, the ranch’s main draw for families, groups of friends and long stays. Between September 2025 and September 2026, every bungalow was replaced. They are now themed on Donald, Daisy and the Junior Woodchucks (the scout troop of Huey, Dewey and Louie). These New Classic Bungalows have 2 bedrooms including a main bedroom with its own bathroom, 2 bathrooms, Lavazza coffee pods and even a Mickey waffle maker.
For leisure, the Davy Crockett Ranch has a heated indoor pool with a slide, a mini golf course, kids’ play areas and plenty of trails for walks deep in the forest. For food, there is Crockett’s Tavern, a restaurant serving an all-you-can-eat Tex-Mex buffet in the evening (with a barbecue in summer), and Crockett’s Saloon for drinks.
Please note: the hotel is not served by the free Disney shuttle buses, and you need your own car to get to the parks. Guests do, however, get Extra Magic Time to enter both parks before official opening, plus parking included at the hotel and at the parks.
Bungalow & kitchen. Set deep in the forest, fifteen minutes’ drive away, this site means you need your own car, as no shuttle runs here. Each detached bungalow has a fitted kitchen, an outdoor barbecue and a private wooden terrace. The indoor pool has a slide and a waterfall for families.
History
Opened on 12 April 1992, the Disney Davy Crockett Ranch is the most unusual place to stay at the resort: 584 bungalows spread through the forest, about 6 km (4 miles) from the parks, originally themed on the trapper Davy Crockett.
Launched in 2024, the full renovation of the bungalows led to the opening of the first reimagined bungalows on 1 September 2025, themed on Donald, Daisy and the Junior Woodchucks.

Who it’s for
Pros and cons
Strong points
- Detached bungalows in the countryside sleeping up to 6 people
- Fitted kitchen and private terrace with barbecue (fully self-catering)
- Heated indoor pool with slide
- Quiet woodland setting over 57 hectares, a real change of scene
Weak points
- Your own car is essential (no free Disney shuttle serves the ranch)
- A long way from the parks (about 15 minutes by car)
- Breakfast not served on site outside the summer season (takeaway basket only)
- Only one place to eat on site, a buffet restaurant
My verdict
The Davy Crockett Ranch offers a completely different kind of stay, built around self-catering in the countryside. The wooden bungalows with a fitted kitchen and barbecue let you run your holiday at your own pace, away from the crowds of the big hotels.
I haven’t stayed there and haven’t tried it myself. My view is based only on the official hotel information, feedback from people I know and online reviews. Since the end of September 2026, Disney only offers the new bungalows, updated with a Junior Woodchucks theme. The large indoor pool with its slide is regularly recommended by families, but your own car is still essential, as no free shuttle serves the site.
I’d recommend it for large groups of up to 6 people travelling by car who like to cook for themselves (and want to spend less on restaurants) and enjoy the peace of the forest. Don’t book it if you’re travelling by train or want to walk to the parks.

Map & getting there
The Disney Davy Crockett Ranch is set in the forest about 15 minutes’ drive from Disneyland Paris, away from the main hotel area. It is the only Disney accommodation you can’t reach on foot and that isn’t served by the free Disney shuttle buses: you need your own car or a taxi to get to the parks and Disney Village.

Your questions about this hotel
01 Which hotel should I choose if I love nature and peace and quiet?
Davy Crockett Ranch is the nature and peace-and-quiet option: bungalows tucked away in a forest, away from the parks (only reachable by car). It has the biggest pool in the resort, with a slide and waterfalls, in a rustic setting. The Sequoia Lodge is a good compromise if you want the forest atmosphere without a car, 15 minutes on foot from the parks.
02 Do you need a car to get to Disneyland Paris?
No. The park has excellent transport links: the RER A (Paris suburban train) stops at the entrance, trains run from the airports and the Disney hotels offer free shuttle buses. A car is mainly useful for exploring the region or if you’re staying further away.
03 Which Disney hotels have a pool?
5 of the 7 official Disney hotels have a pool: the Disneyland Hotel (indoor pool only, with hot tub, steam room and sauna), the Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel (indoor and outdoor), the Newport Bay Club (indoor and outdoor with a large pool), the Sequoia Lodge (indoor and outdoor) and the Davy Crockett Ranch (indoor, the largest in the resort, with a slide). The Hotel Cheyenne and the Hotel Santa Fe don’t have a pool.
04 Can you bring your pet, and what can you do with your dog?
Pets are not allowed in the parks or the Disney hotels, except at the Davy Crockett Ranch, which accepts dogs in some bungalows, apart from guide and assistance dogs with proof. For other pets, a kennel near the parks will look after your animal for the day while you visit.
05 Who can get Extra Magic Time, and do you need to book?
You’re entitled to it in three cases: if you’re staying at an official Disney hotel (on your arrival day, during your stay and on your departure day), if you’re staying at Villages Nature Paris with a package that includes access, or if you hold a valid Disneyland Pass Gold. Bronze One, Bronze Max and Silver passes don’t include this early access. No booking is needed: just turn up at the park entrance about one hour before official opening, with your MagicPass or your Gold pass. Hotel guests should check in online to make the most of it from the first day.
