At a glance

The Campanile Val de France is a Disneyland Paris partner hotel in Magny-le-Hongre, in the Val de France hotel area. It offers several types of room, from the standard room for 2 people up to the family room for 6.

The hotel stands out for its (very light) "nature" feel around the building: an open lobby, green outdoor spaces and above all a small petting farm, which sets it apart from the other Disney partner hotels nearby. The rooms are plainly decorated, to the usual Campanile standard, with no Disney theming in the rooms but with a Disney shop inside the hotel.

What makes the Campanile Val de France different is its built-in activities for kids: the petting farm, a carousel, a play area for children aged 2 to 8, a video games room and a shop. The family rooms are designed for large families, with a room for 6 people fitted with 4 bunk beds. Worth knowing, though: according to the official website, none of the rooms are accessible to guests with reduced mobility.

Dining centres on Le Marché Gourmand restaurant, plus a bar with a snack menu, a House Burger area and a buffet breakfast served on site. The free shuttle bus gets you to Disneyland Paris in under 20 minutes, and there is also free luggage storage, drinks and snack vending machines and a shop selling local produce from the Brie region.

What makes it stand out

An educational farm on site. Outside, the hotel has a mini farm with goats, rabbits and alpacas that little ones love. The restaurant serves an affordable all-you-can-eat buffet in a relaxed, rustic setting. The free shuttle takes you to the Disney parks in around ten minutes.

My verdict

Julie

Campanile Val de France goes for a relaxed, countryside feel at a low price to win over families. Its budget positioning relies on simple but clever selling points to stand out from the other partner hotels in Magny-le-Hongre.

I haven’t stayed there or tried it myself. My opinion is based only on the hotel’s website, feedback from people I know, online reviews and a visit to the hotel lobby. The official descriptions highlight its outdoor educational mini farm with alpacas and goats, which families’ feedback confirms. The air-conditioned rooms sleep up to 6 people in a practical way, and the free shuttle bus serves the parks in about fifteen minutes.

Ideal for families with young kids looking for a green outdoor setting and a budget kept firmly under control. Avoid it if you insist on a pool for downtime or want to walk straight to the parks.

Extra services

Campanile Val de France also offers several extras to make your stay even more enjoyable.

The services include the mini farm (free to visit), the carousel, the play area for kids aged 2 to 8, the video games room and a hotel shop for picking up a few souvenirs. Also worth noting: regional products from the Brie area are on sale, a nice change from the usual.

All these extras may change and depend on availability. For special requests (birthday entertainment, room upgrade, breakfast bag before an early departure), it’s best to contact reception before your stay.

Your questions about this hotel

01 How much does a trip to Disneyland Paris cost?

The cost of a trip varies a lot depending on the hotel you choose. For a 2-day, 1-night stay for 2 adults and 2 children with park tickets included, expect around €600 at the cheapest official Disney hotel and up to €1,100 at the most upmarket one. On top of that, you need to add meals: the amount depends on the type of restaurant, but I suggest allowing at least €300 for breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner over the 2 days. In total, budget between €900 and €1,400 for this kind of trip. For a day visit only, the 1-day 1-park ticket starts at €49 per adult with a Bon Plan ticket: allow a budget of at least around €400 for a one-day visit for 2 adults and 2 children, meals included.

02 What’s the difference between an official Disney hotel and a partner hotel?

An official Disney hotel is run by Disneyland Paris and gives you exclusive perks: Extra Magic Time in the morning before the parks officially open, free delivery of your shop purchases to the hotel and a fully themed setting. A partner hotel (such as Explorers, Adagio or B&B) is a privately run hotel near the resort, usually cheaper, but without Extra Magic Time or Disney theming. For me, staying in a Disney hotel really makes a difference to the immersion, but if your budget is tight, the partner hotels are a decent option.

03 Is it better to stay in a Disney hotel or a partner hotel?

It all depends on your budget and your strategy. Disney hotel: you get Extra Magic Time (access to the parks up to 1 hour before official opening on some headline rides), delivery of your shopping to the hotel, the official shuttle bus and a themed atmosphere. Partner hotel (Explorers, Adagio or B&B, among others): prices are often lower, a free shuttle is usually provided but it isn’t an official Disney one, and breakfast isn’t always included in the price (check when you book). For a first stay, I’d tend to recommend a Disney hotel. To keep the budget down, a partner hotel.

04 Are there shuttle buses between the Disney hotels and the parks?

Yes, free shuttle buses serve most of the official Disney hotels. Some hotels are also within walking distance (Disneyland Hotel, Hotel New York, Newport Bay Club, Sequoia Lodge). The Davy Crockett Ranch has no shuttle: you really need a car (parking at the parks is free for its guests). The timetables are available at hotel reception or in the Disneyland Paris app.

05 Do you need a car to get to Disneyland Paris?

No. The park has excellent transport links: the RER A (Paris suburban train) stops at the entrance, trains run from the airports and the Disney hotels offer free shuttle buses. A car is mainly useful for exploring the region or if you’re staying further away.
