At a glance

A 4-star Haussmann-inspired hotel in Serris, a few minutes from the parks. This Disneyland Paris partner hotel runs a free shuttle bus to the parks and the TGV station. "Open since 2002, the Hôtel l’Elysée Val d’Europe is a 4-star hotel with 152 rooms and suites, at least 24 m² in size and suitable for 1 to 4 people (up to 8 with the interconnecting rooms). It’s one of the Disneyland Paris partner hotels.

Its architecture draws on the grand Haussmann buildings of Paris, and it was last renovated in March 2016. The feel is very much ""home from home"": muted tones, a cosy lobby and a library corner with board games. The front looks onto Place d’Ariane, right by Serris’s RER station.

What sets this Disney partner hotel apart from the hotels on the Disney resort: lower prices, a free shuttle bus to the parks and to Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy TGV station, the RER A 50 metres away, plus the Val d’Europe shopping centre and La Vallée Village right next door. The family room (Quadruple or Interconnecting) is still the most popular choice with first-time visitors.

For dining, Le George restaurant serves seasonal food made with fresh produce, with vegan and gluten-free options and a covered terrace open all year. Le Diplomate bar serves cocktails, organic wines, champagne and tapas until midnight. The American-style breakfast buffet is served at extra cost. There’s no Disney half board, as this is an external partner hotel."

What makes it stand out

Right next to the RER. A few steps from Val d’Europe station, this partner hotel gets you to the parks in a few minutes by train. Its grand Parisian boulevard architecture gives it an elegant, upmarket feel at a competitive price. You’re also right next to the shopping centre and the SEA LIFE Paris Val d’Europe aquarium.

My verdict

Julie
Julie 200+ visits since 2023

This four-star partner hotel relies on Haussmann-inspired elegance to win over travellers who want upmarket comfort at a much lower price than the resort’s official hotels. Its town setting in Serris brings a real breath of fresh air for shoppers.

I haven’t stayed here or tried it myself. My opinion is based only on the hotel’s website, feedback from people I know, online reviews and a visit to the hotel lobby. The RER A station, just 50 metres away, gets you to the parks in just a few minutes. Reviews praise the quality of the Le George brasserie and the standard of the interconnecting rooms, despite the complete lack of Disney theming.

Ideal for adults, shopping fans (thanks to La Vallée Village right next door) and mid-range budgets. Not suited to those who want to stay immersed in Disney from morning to night.

Extra services

The Hôtel l’Elysée Val d’Europe also offers several extra services to make your stay even more enjoyable.

For your room, you can ask for early check-in, late check-out, a cot, romantic decorations or a bottle of champagne in the room.

At the restaurant, the team can prepare a birthday cake.

These services must be booked in advance, either when you book or at reception, and are subject to availability.

Your questions about this hotel

01 What’s the difference between an official Disney hotel and a partner hotel?

An official Disney hotel is run by Disneyland Paris and gives you exclusive perks: Extra Magic Time in the morning before the parks officially open, free delivery of your shop purchases to the hotel and a fully themed setting. A partner hotel (such as Explorers, Adagio or B&B) is a privately run hotel near the resort, usually cheaper, but without Extra Magic Time or Disney theming. For me, staying in a Disney hotel really makes a difference to the immersion, but if your budget is tight, the partner hotels are a decent option.

02 Is it better to stay in a Disney hotel or a partner hotel?

It all depends on your budget and your strategy. Disney hotel: you get Extra Magic Time (access to the parks up to 1 hour before official opening on some headline rides), delivery of your shopping to the hotel, the official shuttle bus and a themed atmosphere. Partner hotel (Explorers, Adagio or B&B, among others): prices are often lower, a free shuttle is usually provided but it isn’t an official Disney one, and breakfast isn’t always included in the price (check when you book). For a first stay, I’d tend to recommend a Disney hotel. To keep the budget down, a partner hotel.

03 Are there shuttle buses between the Disney hotels and the parks?

Yes, free shuttle buses serve most of the official Disney hotels. Some hotels are also within walking distance (Disneyland Hotel, Hotel New York, Newport Bay Club, Sequoia Lodge). The Davy Crockett Ranch has no shuttle: you really need a car (parking at the parks is free for its guests). The timetables are available at hotel reception or in the Disneyland Paris app.

04 Is it better to book an all-inclusive package or book hotel, train and tickets separately?

In most cases, I find it cheaper to book transport separately from accommodation and tickets. The best option is often to book the hotel and tickets on the official Disneyland Paris website, then buy your SNCF train tickets yourself. It means two bookings instead of one, but the total is usually lower. All-inclusive packages (such as Carrefour Voyages) are still worth considering for simplicity, with no need to compare.

05 How much does a trip to Disneyland Paris cost?

The cost of a trip varies a lot depending on the hotel you choose. For a 2-day, 1-night stay for 2 adults and 2 children with park tickets included, expect around €600 at the cheapest official Disney hotel and up to €1,100 at the most upmarket one. On top of that, you need to add meals: the amount depends on the type of restaurant, but I suggest allowing at least €300 for breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner over the 2 days. In total, budget between €900 and €1,400 for this kind of trip. For a day visit only, the 1-day 1-park ticket starts at €49 per adult with a Bon Plan ticket: allow a budget of at least around €400 for a one-day visit for 2 adults and 2 children, meals included.
