Disneyland Paris: how to meet the princesses

The main way to meet a princess at Disneyland Paris is the Princess Pavilion, in Fantasyland (Disneyland Park), booked through the free virtual queue.

The main way to meet a princess at Disneyland Paris is the Princess Pavilion, in Fantasyland (Disneyland Park). But there are several ways to cross paths with one and they’re not all equal.

Some give you a proper meet and greet (a chat, a photo, an autograph and a hug), others only let you see them go by. Here’s how to go about it, from the fullest option to the simplest, so you don’t leave disappointed.

The Princess Pavilion

The Princess Pavilion, in Fantasyland (Disneyland Park), is the main way to meet a princess. It’s a proper meet and greet: you step into a small room and take your time to chat for a moment, have a photo taken, ask for an autograph and a hug. The meet and greet itself is free, included in your ticket.

Several princesses take turns at the Pavilion, depending on the day. One important point: you don’t choose the princess, it’s a surprise. You find out who is waiting for you once you’re there.

In practice, you open the app, grab a slot as soon as you can, then come back at the time shown. Slots go quickly: bookings usually open in two waves, one in the morning at park opening and one in the early afternoon. For the full details of how it works, see my guide to the character virtual queue.

Which princesses can you meet?

At the Princess Pavilion, you may meet the classic princesses depending on the day’s line-up: Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, Ariel or Rapunzel come back regularly, but none of them is guaranteed (it’s a surprise). Elsa and Anna aren’t at the Pavilion: you can only meet them at A Royal Encounter with Elsa and Anna, in Disney Adventure World.

Finally, Moana isn’t met in a room but through a PhotoPass photo (the park’s official photo service). For details of which princesses are around, see my guide to the Disney Princesses at Disneyland Paris.

Meet and greets with a single princess

As well as the Pavilion, some princesses sometimes have a meeting spot of their own, depending on the current line-up. Belle and Aurora are examples, in Disneyland Park. These meet and greets aren’t permanent: they depend on the time of year and what’s on. Remember to check the day’s programme in the app when you arrive.

A Royal Encounter with Elsa and Anna is a dedicated meet and greet in its own right. It’s in the second park, Disney Adventure World, in the World of Frozen area, at Arendelle castle. Here too, entry is through the free virtual queue and the meet and greet is short (a few minutes). It’s the only place at Disneyland Paris where you can meet both sisters together.

See the princesses during the parade

During the afternoon parade at Disneyland Park, one float is dedicated to the princesses. You see them go past along the route, between Fantasyland and Main Street U.S.A. The upside is real: it’s free, no booking needed, you see several of them at once and the time is fixed (you know in advance when to find your spot).

A dedicated Princess Cavalcade also passes several times a day at Disney Adventure World, which gives you more chances to see them go by.

Watch out, though: it isn’t a real meet and greet. You can’t take close-up photos, ask for autographs or get a hug. You see them waving from the float, and that’s it. It’s a good option if your kids just want to catch a glimpse of their princesses without the hassle of booking.

Since 1 July 2026, a show also lets you see them: "La Valse Royale de la Belle au Bois Dormant", at Le Théâtre du Château (Disneyland Park). Aurora and her prince open a waltz joined by other princesses, several times a day (about 20 minutes). As with the parade, you see them on stage, with no photos or autographs.

Meet a princess at a restaurant

A few restaurants at Disneyland Paris offer character dining with princesses: they go from table to table while you eat, for a photo and a chat. It’s the most comfortable option, because the meet and greet is guaranteed and you see several of them, with no stress about booking a slot. On the other hand, you pay for the meal and you need to book your table in advance.

Watch out for the location: some of these restaurants are in Disneyland Park, like Auberge de Cendrillon, so you need a park ticket. Others are in the Disney hotels, open without a ticket.

Here are the restaurants where you can meet the princesses (the list updates automatically). For prices and booking details, see my guide to character dining.

World Princess Week

In August, Disneyland Paris holds World Princess Week, a period when more princesses are around, with extra entertainment and meeting spots. If your trip falls at that time, your chances of meeting one go up noticeably.

Frequently asked questions

01 Where can you meet the Disney Princesses and do you need to book?

The dedicated meet and greet takes place at the Princess Pavilion, in Disneyland Park, by reservation only through the free virtual queue in the app (since 2025). You don’t choose the princess, it’s a surprise. You meet Elsa and Anna separately, at A Royal Encounter with Elsa and Anna in Disney Adventure World (World of Frozen). The meet and greet is included in your ticket. Only a meal such as Auberge de Cendrillon costs extra.

02 Can you meet the princesses during the parade?

No, not really. During the parade, one float is dedicated to the princesses and you see them go by, but it isn’t a real meet and greet: no close-up photo, no autograph, no hug. It’s a handy way to catch a glimpse of them without booking.

03 How does the virtual queue for meeting characters work?

Everything happens in the official app, once your ticket has been scanned at the park entrance (not possible before, and valid on the day only). You book a free time slot. Slots generally open in two waves (in the morning at opening time and in the early afternoon), sometimes a third in the late afternoon. Only one booking can be active at a time, with a limit of 6 people per slot and up to 5 meets in the day. Every member of the group, children included, must be counted.
