To make things clear, here’s the difference in two sentences. With PhotoPass, you buy your photos and videos one at a time, from €15 per photo, with no bundle. PhotoPass+ is an unlimited €90 bundle that lets you download all the photos and videos taken during your visit, without paying for each one.
Depending on your trip, one of the two options will work out cheaper. I’ll help you choose, simply.
PhotoPass or PhotoPass+: what’s the difference?
The difference comes down to one word: bundle. At a glance:
| Feature | PhotoPass | PhotoPass+ |
|---|---|---|
| What you buy | Individual photos or videos | All your photos AND videos, unlimited |
| Bundle | No, you buy photo by photo | Yes, one price for everything |
| Price | From €15 per photo | €90 (free with Disneyland Pass Gold) |
| Best for | Short visit, few photos | Lots of photos, characters, several days |
PhotoPass and PhotoPass+ at a glance
What is PhotoPass+?
Don’t confuse it with the basic PhotoPass: with that, you buy each photo or each video separately, with no bundle. PhotoPass+ is the unlimited bundle described below.
PhotoPass+ brings together in one place all the photos taken by the park photographers and all the photos and videos taken on rides with on-ride photos. You can then download, share or print everything.
You receive a physical card (or a number if you added it to your booking). You show it to the photographer or at the desk at the exit of rides with photos and the pictures are linked to your account. Remember to include the videos: they’re part of the bundle, whereas when buying individually you often only buy the photos.
How to activate your PhotoPass+
Buy your PhotoPass+ in a dedicated shop in the park, or add it to your holiday booking. In the park, you receive a physical card. Online, you receive a number.
Go to the official Disney PhotoPass website (disneyphotopass.eu). Your photos also appear in the Disney PhotoPass app, but it’s on the website that you download them in the best quality (HD).
Create an account or log in if you already have one.
Link your card number (found under the barcode), or the number you received with your booking, to your account.
Find all your photos in HD, available for 1 year, to download and share.
How long is it valid?
Be careful not to confuse two different periods.
- Time to take your photos
- 10 days from the first photo taken (1 year if you’re a Disneyland Pass member).
- Online access afterwards
- 1 year, in HD, so you can download at your leisure after your trip.
Where can you use your PhotoPass+?
You can use your PhotoPass+ everywhere at Disneyland Paris. Whenever you come across a character, have a photo taken with them. And several rides offer a photo or a video to add to your account.

My tips
- You can buy PhotoPass+ later in the day. Keep all the cards the photographers give you so you can link the photos already taken.
- For ride photos, go to the PhotoPass desk rather than using the QR code at the exit. You get better quality and you can crop.
- Remember to scan or show your card for every photo.
- Activate your PhotoPass+ on day one and include it in your budget from the planning stage.

What about Magic Shots?
Magic Shots are photos with an added effect, where a character or an element appears next to you. They’re included in PhotoPass+. I’ve written a dedicated article on Magic Shots to explain how to get them.

Frequently asked questions
01 What’s the difference between PhotoPass and PhotoPass+?
Disney PhotoPass lets you buy your photos and videos individually, from €15 per photo, with no bundle. Disney PhotoPass+ is a €90 bundle that unlocks unlimited downloads of all your photos AND videos from your visit.
02 Is PhotoPass+ included with an annual pass?
It depends on your annual pass. With the Gold pass, PhotoPass+ is included free of charge, which is one of the big perks of this pass. With the Silver pass, you get -10% off the price. With the Bronze passes, there’s no discount and you pay the standard price, which is €90. Without a bundle, you can still buy your photos individually from €15. If you take a lot of photos, it’s a real reason to compare the cost of upgrading to Gold.
03 How do you get your PhotoPass photos after your visit?
You get your photos on the official Disney PhotoPass website (disneyphotopass.eu). They can also be viewed in the Disney PhotoPass app, but the website is still the best place to download them in HD. You sign in to your Disney account, link your PhotoPass+ card number, then go to your gallery to download your shots in HD. Make sure all your photos are scanned to the right account on the same day. How long it stays valid depends on your profile. With a standard ticket, PhotoPass+ lets you add photos for 10 days, then online access lasts 1 year to download them. With an annual pass, validity is extended to 1 year.
04 Can you buy PhotoPass+ after your photos have been taken?
Yes. If you’ve kept the cards the photographers handed you during the day, you can buy PhotoPass+ afterwards and get the photos already taken.
05 Where can you buy PhotoPass+ at Disneyland Paris?
You can add PhotoPass+ to your booking on the official Disneyland Paris website, or buy it on site in the PhotoPass+ shops in both parks (for example New Century Notions on Main Street U.S.A.) and in some ride photo shops, such as Big Thunder Mountain.
06 Is Disney PhotoPass+ worth it?
The bundle becomes worth it if you’re planning lots of photos, character meet and greets or several days on site. For a short visit with just a few shots, buying photos individually from €15 is enough.
