Disneyland Paris hotels: Disney hotels, partner hotels and shuttles

Choosing among the Disneyland Paris hotels sets the pace and the budget of your whole trip. I’ve stayed in several official Disney hotels and partner hotels to give you honest feedback that goes beyond the glossy brochures. In this FAQ I’ve gathered all my answers to help you decide: the real benefits of Extra Magic Time, walking times, how well the free shuttles work and managing your room with the MagicPass. Here’s what you need to know to find the hotel that suits your budget and how tired you’ll be at the end of the day.

01 How much does a trip to Disneyland Paris cost?

The cost of a trip varies a lot depending on the hotel you choose. For a 2-day, 1-night stay for 2 adults and 2 children with park tickets included, expect around €600 at the cheapest official Disney hotel and up to €1,100 at the most upmarket one. On top of that, you need to add meals: the amount depends on the type of restaurant, but I suggest allowing at least €300 for breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner over the 2 days. In total, budget between €900 and €1,400 for this kind of trip. For a day visit only, the 1-day 1-park ticket starts at €49 per adult with a Bon Plan ticket: allow a budget of at least around €400 for a one-day visit for 2 adults and 2 children, meals included.

02 How many days do you need at Disneyland Paris?

Two days is the ideal length for a first trip: one day per park, without rushing. With three days or more, you can take things at a relaxed pace (going back to your favourites, catching up on shows, enjoying the hotel and Disney Village). For a short trip, I suggest Disneyland Park on day 1 (the bigger one) and Disney Adventure World on day 2.

03 How many official Disney hotels are there at Disneyland Paris?

Disneyland Paris has 7 official Disney hotels: the Disneyland Hotel (luxury, princess theme, 0 minutes’ walk from the parks), Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel (Marvel theme, 10 minutes’ walk), Newport Bay Club (New England theme, 15 minutes’ walk), Sequoia Lodge (Disney forest theme, 15 minutes’ walk), Hotel Cheyenne (Wild West theme, 20 minutes’ walk), Hotel Santa Fe (Cars/Route 66 theme, 20 minutes’ walk) and Davy Crockett Ranch (nature and Junior Woodchucks theme, reachable by car only). Each has its own atmosphere, and it’s really the theme and the budget that guide my choice when I book.

04 What’s the difference between an official Disney hotel and a partner hotel?

An official Disney hotel is run by Disneyland Paris and gives you exclusive perks: Extra Magic Time in the morning before the parks officially open, free delivery of your shop purchases to the hotel and a fully themed setting. A partner hotel (such as Explorers, Adagio or B&B) is a privately run hotel near the resort, usually cheaper, but without Extra Magic Time or Disney theming. For me, staying in a Disney hotel really makes a difference to the immersion, but if your budget is tight, the partner hotels are a decent option.

05 What is the cheapest Disney hotel?

The cheapest official Disney hotel is Hotel Santa Fe, themed on Cars and Route 66. It’s the resort’s entry-level hotel, about 20 minutes’ walk from the parks. If you’re on an even tighter budget, Davy Crockett Ranch (bungalows in the forest, reachable by car only) can work out cheaper for families, but you’ll need a vehicle. For exact prices, which vary by date, I check the official Disneyland Paris website directly.

06 Which Disney hotel is closest to the parks?

The Disneyland Hotel is by far the closest: it sits right above the entrance to Disneyland Park, 0 minutes on foot. It’s literally the park’s entrance gate. Next comes Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, a 10-minute walk away, then the Newport Bay Club and the Sequoia Lodge, 15 minutes away. The Cheyenne and the Santa Fe are about 20 minutes away. The Davy Crockett Ranch can’t be reached on foot, you need a car.

07 Which Disney hotel should you choose with kids?

For a stay with kids, I recommend the Hotel Cheyenne: a very immersive Wild West atmosphere (saloon, Western streets, ponies) at an affordable price, and little ones love it. The Newport Bay Club is also an excellent choice thanks to its large pool with children’s areas. The Sequoia Lodge appeals to families who like a Disney-style forest atmosphere. Avoid the Davy Crockett Ranch if you don’t have a car, as getting to the parks from there is more of a hassle.

08 Which Disney hotel should couples without kids choose?

For a couple’s stay, the Disneyland Hotel is still my first choice: royal atmosphere, princess theming, polished service, and being right next to the parks makes it easy to pop back to your room. The Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel also appeals to couples with its stylish atmosphere and contemporary design inspired by Marvel artwork. If you want peace and quiet, the Davy Crockett Ranch in the forest is a proper getaway for two.

09 Which Disney hotel offers the best value for money?

For me, the Hotel Cheyenne offers the best value for money: an immersive Wild West atmosphere at an affordable price, ideal for families. The Newport Bay Club comes a close second, with its large pool and comfortable rooms at a reasonable price for what you get. It all depends on your priorities (theme, pool, distance), but the Cheyenne is still my favourite when you’re watching your budget.

10 Which Disney hotel for a luxury stay?

The Disneyland Hotel is the resort’s luxury hotel, by a long way. Fully renovated, it has princess theming on every floor, a spa called Le Spa du Château, fine-dining restaurants and the very exclusive Castle Club. For the ultimate stay, Castle Club rooms include breakfast with the princesses, a private lounge and a dedicated concierge. It is the only Disney hotel in the resort rated as luxury.

11 What are the themes of the Disney hotels?

Each Disney hotel has its own world: the Disneyland Hotel has a princess and royal theme, Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel celebrates the Marvel superheroes through works of art, the Newport Bay Club recalls nautical New England, the Sequoia Lodge takes you into the forest in the style of Bambi, Disney Hotel Cheyenne recreates a Wild West town with its saloon, Disney Hotel Santa Fe draws on Cars and Route 66, and the Davy Crockett Ranch offers mobile homes deep in the woods.

12 Which Disney hotel is best for Marvel fans?

Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel is the hotel for superhero fans: completely redesigned around Marvel art, it displays over 350 original works (Iron Man, Spider-Man, Avengers, Black Panther). The atmosphere is more stylish and contemporary than you might expect, and it really is as much a Marvel museum as a hotel. It is a 10-minute walk from the parks, on the shore of Lake Disney.

13 Which Disney hotel is best for princess fans?

The Disneyland Hotel is the princess hotel: its whole renovation revolves around Disney heroines, from the murals to the furniture. To take the immersion as far as it goes, the Castle Club rooms come in 11 different royal themes (Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Belle, Aladdin, The Princess and the Frog, Rapunzel, Frozen, Moana, Raya). Breakfast with the princesses in the Castle Club Lounge is included for Castle Club guests.

14 Which hotel should I choose if I love nature and peace and quiet?

Davy Crockett Ranch is the nature and peace-and-quiet option: bungalows tucked away in a forest, away from the parks (only reachable by car). It has the biggest pool in the resort, with a slide and waterfalls, in a rustic setting. The Sequoia Lodge is a good compromise if you want the forest atmosphere without a car, 15 minutes on foot from the parks.

15 Is it better to book an all-inclusive package or book hotel, train and tickets separately?

In most cases, I find it cheaper to book transport separately from accommodation and tickets. The best option is often to book the hotel and tickets on the official Disneyland Paris website, then buy your SNCF train tickets yourself. It means two bookings instead of one, but the total is usually lower. All-inclusive packages (such as Carrefour Voyages) are still worth considering for simplicity, with no need to compare.

16 Where can you book a Disney train + hotel + ticket package?

For an all-inclusive package, Carrefour Voyages often has the best prices and a very simple process: you choose your departure station, your dates and your hotel, and you get a ready-made package.

17 When should you book your Disney hotel for the best prices?

Book as early as possible: SNCF train fares go up as the departure date gets closer, and Disney hotels follow a similar logic with dynamic pricing. Avoid the French school holidays and busy weekends, and compare several dates (weekdays are often cheaper than Fridays and Sundays). As prices vary, I check the official website regularly to spot price drops.

18 Does Disneyland Paris offer a best price guarantee?

Yes, it’s the Best Price Guarantee. If you book a Disney hotel + ticket package directly with Disneyland Paris and find the same holiday cheaper within the following 24 hours, Disney refunds the difference. You have 72 hours after booking to make a claim. I suggest checking the official Disneyland Paris website when you book for the exact current terms.

19 Who can get Extra Magic Time, and do you need to book?

You’re entitled to it in three cases: if you’re staying at an official Disney hotel (on your arrival day, during your stay and on your departure day), if you’re staying at Villages Nature Paris with a package that includes access, or if you hold a valid Disneyland Pass Gold. Bronze One, Bronze Max and Silver passes don’t include this early access. No booking is needed: just turn up at the park entrance about one hour before official opening, with your MagicPass or your Gold pass. Hotel guests should check in online to make the most of it from the first day.

20 Which rides are open during Extra Magic Time?

In Disneyland Park (12 attractions): Le Carrousel de Lancelot, Peter Pan’s Flight, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups, Princess Pavilion, Phantom Manor, Big Thunder Mountain, Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, Orbitron, Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, Star Tours: The Adventures Continue. In Disney Adventure World (8 attractions): The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Les Tapis Volants - Flying Carpets Over Agrabah, Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop, Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin, RC Racer, Crush’s Coaster, Cars Quatre Roues Rallye, Ratatouille : L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy. The list can vary from day to day.

21 What time does Extra Magic Time start?

Extra Magic Time usually starts one hour before the parks officially open. As a guide, in 2026 the early opening often runs from around 8:30 to 9:30, with the parks opening to the public at 9:30. Exact times vary with the season and crowd levels, so I always check the day’s schedule in the Disneyland Paris app the day before my visit.

22 Is breakfast included at the Disney hotels?

It depends on the package you book: some "breakfast included" or "half board" stays include breakfast, while others charge it as an extra. At the Disneyland Hotel’s Castle Club, however, the royal breakfast with princesses in the private lounge is always included. I always check the package when I book, to avoid any surprises.

23 Can you meet Disney characters at the hotel?

Yes, several Disney hotels offer character meet and greets, usually in dedicated areas of the lobby. At the Disneyland Hotel, Castle Club rooms include a royal breakfast with Disney princesses in the private lounge. Other hotels hold occasional character appearances, and the programme varies with the season. I check the programme with the concierge as soon as I arrive.

24 What is the Castle Club at the Disneyland Hotel?

The Castle Club is the premium room category on the top floor of the Disneyland Hotel, in an area set aside for guests looking for an exceptional stay. It has only 41 rooms, a private lounge (the Castle Club Lounge), a dedicated reception, a private lift and a personal concierge service. It’s the most upmarket experience in the resort.

25 How much does a night at the Castle Club cost?

Castle Club prices start at around €2,300 a night (price checked in 2026), and around €2,450 a night for a room with a park view. Prices vary with the season, the French school holidays and the theme you choose. I check the official website or call the booking line for the exact price on your date.

26 Which services are included at the Castle Club?

A night at the Castle Club includes: the royal breakfast with princesses in the private lounge, afternoon tea (between 16:00 and 18:00), unlimited drinks all day in the lounge, a private lift opening straight onto Disneyland Park, a dedicated reception desk for faster check-in, a personal concierge service, a themed light-up ceiling synchronised with the room, Clarins and Nougatine Paris toiletries, and an included minibar.

27 Which Disney hotels have a pool?

5 of the 7 official Disney hotels have a pool: the Disneyland Hotel (indoor pool only, with hot tub, steam room and sauna), the Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel (indoor and outdoor), the Newport Bay Club (indoor and outdoor with a large pool), the Sequoia Lodge (indoor and outdoor) and the Davy Crockett Ranch (indoor, the largest in the resort, with a slide). The Hotel Cheyenne and the Hotel Santa Fe don’t have a pool.

28 Which Disney hotel has the best pool for kids?

For a fun pool, go for a hotel with a slide: the Sequoia Lodge (Quarry Pool) and the Davy Crockett Ranch are the only two that have one. The Sequoia Lodge is my top pick for a family coming on foot. The Davy Crockett Ranch has the largest pool in the resort, with a slide and waterfalls, but you can only get there by car. If you prefer large shallow areas for toddlers, the Newport Bay Club and the Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel are very well suited. Armbands and rubber rings are lent free of charge.

29 What are the opening times of the Disney hotel pools?

Most pools at the official Disney hotels are open from 7:00 to 22:00, except at the Davy Crockett Ranch, which opens at 9:00. Remember to check for any annual maintenance closures (in January for some hotels, for example), posted at reception or available before your stay.

30 Do you need to book to use the pool at your Disney hotel?

No, you don’t need to book to use the pool at your Disney hotel. Just show your MagicPass at the pool entrance so staff can check you’re a hotel guest. Lifeguards supervise all the pools at the official Disney hotels, but children must still be supervised by their parents.

31 Is there a spa at the Disneyland Hotel?

Yes, the Disneyland Hotel has a wellness area with an indoor pool, hot tub, hammam and sauna, in an elegant, well-kept setting. For treatments (massages, body treatments), I suggest checking directly with the hotel concierge, who offers a programme with a partner (Clarins).

32 Which Disneyland Hotel restaurants can you visit without staying there?

Three Disneyland Hotel restaurants are open to non-residents with a confirmed booking: Royal Banquet, La Table de Lumière and La Forêt Secrète. You can book in the Disneyland Paris mobile app or by phone with the restaurant booking service. I recommend booking several weeks ahead, especially at weekends and during special seasons.

33 Can you pay for your holiday in instalments and how much is the deposit?

Yes, for a hotel + ticket package booked on disneylandparis.com: you pay a 15% deposit when you book, then the balance in several interest-free instalments, no later than 10 days before arrival (11 days by phone). Spreading the payment is possible as soon as you book more than 10 days before your stay. If you cancel during the free cancellation period, your deposit is refunded.

34 How do I pay the balance of my Disneyland Paris booking?

To pay the balance, go to disneylandparis.com, "My Account" section, then the "My Bookings" tab. Enter your booking number and the name of one of the guests on the booking to access your file and pay. The balance must be paid no later than 10 days before your arrival date (11 days if you go through the reservation centre by phone).

35 Once I’ve booked, how do I get my tickets?

Your tickets are in the "My Bookings" section of your Disney account, which you can reach from the link in your confirmation email. You can save them on your phone or print them: the QR code is scanned at the park entrance. My tip: also add your tickets to the official Disneyland Paris app, it’s even easier on the day.

36 Do Disney hotel guests get perks at Disney Village?

Yes, staying at a Disney hotel gives you perks at Disney Village. Your purchases can be delivered free of charge to the shop at your Disney hotel, so you don’t have to carry your bags around all day. There are a few exceptions: the delivery service isn’t available at Center Parcs.

37 Can you book a Disney hotel room without a park ticket?

Yes, you can: this is often called a "room-only" stay, a Disney hotel room booked without park tickets. It’s useful to extend a stay, or for someone travelling with you who isn’t visiting the parks. You book it by phone through the Disneyland Paris reservation centre.

38 What time are check-in and check-out at the Disney hotels?

In most Disney hotels, your room is available from 15:00 on your arrival day (16:00 at the Davy Crockett Ranch and Center Parcs). On your departure day, you must leave the room by 11:00. If your room isn’t ready when you arrive, you can head to the parks: leave your bags at the hotel’s luggage storage or in your car if you prefer.

39 Is the MagicPass available in the app?

Yes for Disney hotels, after your online check-in (possible 7 days before arrival): the MagicPass then appears in the Disneyland Paris app. Watch out, not all hotels offer a digital room key: in some, it’s a physical card you collect at reception on the day.

40 What is Express Check-out at the Disney hotels?

Express Check-out lets you leave your Disney hotel without going back to reception on your departure day. It’s a real time-saver: you enjoy your last moments there instead of queuing at the front desk. My tip: on a last day in the parks, leave your suitcases at the hotel’s luggage storage before you go. The exact details are given on the official Disneyland Paris website and at reception.

41 Can you enjoy Extra Magic Time from the first day of your stay?

Yes, it’s possible from the first day. To do so, you need to have checked in online beforehand and use your MagicPasses, available in the Disneyland Paris app.

42 Can I change or cancel my package holiday?

The terms for changes and cancellations depend on the agency or website you book with. I recommend reading these terms carefully before you confirm your booking. It will save you any nasty surprises if your plans change.

43 Is the tourist tax included in a Disney package holiday?

In a package holiday booked through Disneyland Paris or an official reseller, the tourist tax is already included in the price: you have nothing to pay on arrival. It’s charged per adult and per night, and the amount varies with the hotel category. It doesn’t apply to tickets on their own, without a hotel night.

44 Is there a water park at Disneyland Paris?

No, Disneyland Paris doesn’t have a dedicated water park with giant slides or a wave pool. The closest thing on site is the Disney hotel pools, in particular the one at the Sequoia Lodge and above all the one at the Davy Crockett Ranch, the largest in the resort, with a slide. They’re only open to hotel guests. The nearest water park, strictly speaking, is Aqua Mundo at Center Parcs Villages Nature Paris, about fifteen minutes from the park: an indoor heated area, plus a large outdoor area with a wild river, sun loungers and lake views. To compare the Disney hotel pools, you’ll find all the details in my guide to the hotel pools.

45 Can I watch a specific length of stay?

Yes. You choose 1, 2 or 3 nights, or "No preference" if you’re flexible on how long you stay. I then only alert you for the length of stay you’re interested in. Staying flexible on this point improves your chances of finding a good price.

46 Can you book a Disneyland Paris holiday in someone else’s name?

Yes. The name on the booking doesn’t have to match the payment method. You book a hotel + ticket package in the name of the people travelling and pay for it yourself, in one or several instalments. Three things to bear in mind. First, if you book 10 days or less before arrival, the bank card used to pay may be requested on site. You won’t be there to show it, so book more than 10 days before arrival. Second, only the lead booker, or the person the booking was transferred to, can change or cancel it. You’ll find the details in my article on how to cancel or change a stay. Finally, a minor can’t stay alone in a Disney hotel: include an adult in the booking.

47 How do you book a Castle Club (or Deluxe) room at the Disneyland Hotel?

Castle Club rooms aren’t usually shown online: you need to call the Disneyland Paris booking line directly on +33 1 60 30 60 90. Availability is very limited (the Castle Club only takes up the top two floors of the Disneyland Hotel), so I recommend booking several months ahead, especially for the French school holidays. Also plan for park entry: the room doesn’t include a ticket, so you’ll need a valid ticket or pass on top.

48 Can you visit the Disneyland Hotel without staying there?

No, not freely since 1 November 2025. Entry is limited to hotel guests and to visitors with a confirmed booking for a hotel service (restaurant, treatment at the Clarins spa, the Mon Rêve Royal experience or a business event). You can no longer just walk into the lobby: to visit, book a meal or a treatment in advance and show your confirmation at the entrance.

49 Are the prices shown the official Disney prices?

Yes. I use the prices of the official Disneyland Paris hotel + ticket packages. I don’t set any prices myself: I simply compare them and let you know when they drop below your budget.

50 Do you need a park ticket to go to the Disneyland Hotel or its restaurant?

No. You don’t need a park ticket: your confirmed booking for a Disneyland Hotel service (restaurant, spa and so on) is what gets you in. You go straight in through the hotel lobby by showing your confirmation email, without going through the park entrance gates.

51 How far in advance should you start watching prices?

The earlier the better, often several months before you travel: that’s when the price gaps between dates are clearest, and often when you’ll get the best price. But good prices also come up as the departure date gets closer. Whether you’re leaving in six months or in three weeks, the alert is still useful.

52 Are the Disney hotel pools heated and open all year round?

Yes, the Disney hotel pools are heated. The indoor pools are heated and open all year round. The outdoor pools, such as the one at the Newport Bay Club, only open in the warmer months and close in winter. Opening times vary from hotel to hotel, so I recommend checking before your stay.

53 How do I unsubscribe?

In one click. Every email I send you has an unsubscribe link at the very bottom. Click it once and you won’t receive anything else: your details are then deleted.

54 Is the alert really free?

Yes, completely, with no strings attached. There’s no account to create and no bank card to enter: you leave me your email and your budget, and that’s it. You don’t pay anything, either when you sign up or later.

55 Will I get lots of emails?

No. I only email you when a holiday actually drops below the budget you’ve set. Some weeks you won’t get anything, and that’s normal: I’d rather tell you at the right time than fill up your inbox.

56 Which hotels does it cover?

All the Disney hotels sold as a hotel + ticket package (hotel plus park tickets), from the most affordable to the most upmarket. By default I watch them all, but if you already have one or two in mind, you can ask me to watch only those.
