At a glance
World of Frozen is the Frozen land of Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park) at Disneyland Paris, tucked at the back of the park along the edge of the Adventure Bay lake.
The land is a life-size recreation of the kingdom of Arendelle, with Norwegian-inspired architecture. Its story takes place between the events of Frozen and Frozen 2: peace has returned, and Queen Elsa has declared a snowy summer day for the townspeople. Its highest point is the North Mountain, rising 40 meters (400 tons of metal covered in hand-sculpted, hand-painted concrete) and housing Elsa’s Ice Palace. You’ll also find Arendelle Castle, Arendelle Harbor with its lighthouse, the Clock Tower, a fjord, and a forest.
The land has one main ride, Frozen Ever After, a boat dark ride that brings back the movie’s beloved songs, along with the water show A Celebration in Arendelle. For food, there’s Nordic Crowns Tavern and several kiosks, and the stores are Arendelle Boutique and Fjord View Shop. An indoor meet and greet area lets you see the movie’s heroes: Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and their friends.
The land is presented as a recreation of the kingdom of Arendelle picking up where the movie Frozen leaves off. Guests are invited to the Snowflake Festival, the kingdom’s most important tradition, where Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and the villagers all join in.
The common thread is a town festival: every part of the land (village, castle, fjord, mountains, store) is part of the celebration, and each attraction extends a moment from the movie (Frozen Ever After revisits the beloved songs, while A Celebration in Arendelle shows the characters performing live).
Disney Adventure World’s new 2026 land, a life-size version of the kingdom of Arendelle. Frozen Ever After (a boat dark ride), A Celebration in Arendelle (a show on the water), and Arendelle Boutique by the fjord. The Nordic architecture stays faithful to the movie, with mountains, a fjord, and castle balconies.

History
World of Frozen is a brand-new land, built as part of the Disney Adventure World rebrand and opened on March 29, 2026, with Frozen Ever After (a boat dark ride) and the water show A Celebration in Arendelle.
It’s the second immersive world in the €2 billion investment plan announced on February 27, 2018, by Bob Iger (then CEO of The Walt Disney Company) alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, following the opening of Marvel Avengers Campus on July 20, 2022. Designed by Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, the land was built from 2021 to early 2026, since the Covid-19 pandemic delayed the expansion plan.
The land largely follows the concept of World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland (2023), and its Frozen Ever After ride first opened in the Norway pavilion at Epcot (Orlando) in 2016.
Where the inspiration comes from
The land takes its cue from World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland (November 20, 2023), the very first Frozen land, and borrows the Frozen Ever After ride from Epcot in Orlando (2016). The Frozen section of Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea (2024) also shaped some of its details.

Who it’s made for
Pros and cons
The highlights
- An architectural recreation of the kingdom of Arendelle, drawing directly on Norway
- The 40-meter North Mountain, the tallest visual landmark in the park
- Home to the Frozen Ever After ride
- A theme that fits well with how popular Frozen is in Europe
The downsides
- Only one ride when the land opened
- The land is fairly small
- Just one restaurant for dining
- The ride isn’t original: it’s a copy of a ride from other Disney parks
- Opened years after the movie came out
My verdict
World of Frozen is a gorgeous land, and incredibly immersive. The ride is superb, and getting to see both princesses, Anna and Elsa, really adds to the visit.
My first quibble: the land is a bit narrow. Getting around isn’t always easy, especially at peak times.
My second one is more personal: opening in 2026 comes years after the movie’s release, long past the height of Frozen fever. I would have loved to see it arrive when the Frozen craze was at its peak.

Your questions about this land
01 What are the lands at Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park) after the transformation?
Disney Adventure World, which replaces the former Walt Disney Studios Park, is now divided into 6 lands. World Premiere Plaza (2 rides) has Tower of Terror, Les Tapis Volants, and the World Premiere hub. Avengers Campus (2 rides) brings together Avengers Assemble: Flight Force and Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure. Worlds of Pixar (7 rides) is home to Crush’s Coaster, Ratatouille, RC Racer, Cars Quatre Roues Rallye, Cars ROAD TRIP, Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin, and Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop. World of Frozen (just one ride for now), which opened on March 29, 2026, features Frozen Ever After. Adventure Way (1 ride) is where you’ll find Raiponce Tangled Spin.
02 Which rides shouldn’t you miss at Disney Adventure World?
At Disney Adventure World, I have my personal favorites. At 63 meters, Tower of Terror is the tallest ride in all of Disneyland Paris and delivers big thrills. Avengers Assemble: Flight Force is still the fastest ride in the resort. Crush’s Coaster is a cult classic, but it has the longest lines. Ratatouille is an immersive ride you shouldn’t skip. Frozen Ever After, in the new World of Frozen land that opened on March 29, 2026, is the big new addition you have to try. Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure rounds out the list of top picks at Avengers Campus.
03 World of Frozen: when did it open, and what is there to do?
World of Frozen opened to the public on March 29, 2026, in Disney Adventure World, after previews for annual passholders on March 15, 18, and 23-25. Across 9,800 m², you’ll find Frozen Ever After, an immersive water dark ride set in the world of Anna and Elsa. Nordic Crowns Tavern serves Nordic cuisine. The show A Celebration in Arendelle takes place by the lake and features an Audio-Animatronics Olaf. You can meet Anna and Elsa at dedicated spots. The land is dominated by a 36-meter snowy mountain and Elsa’s 13-meter ice palace, decorated with over 300 crystals.
04 How can you avoid long lines for the most popular rides?
To skip long lines at Disneyland Paris, I mix several strategies. First, Single Rider is free and really speeds things up on the rides that offer it, including Crush’s Coaster, Flight Force, Ratatouille, and Spider-Man, as long as you don’t mind boarding apart from your group. Next, Disney Premier Access is a paid service that guarantees you priority entry on the headline rides. If you’re staying at a Disney hotel, Extra Magic Time lets you into the park before official opening, and that’s the best time to ride the popular attractions back to back without waiting. Last, heading to the busiest rides during a parade or a big show empties the lines dramatically.
