At a glance

Marvel Avengers Campus is the Marvel land at Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park) at Disneyland Paris, in the back left corner of the park.

The land’s theme is the American headquarters of the Avengers. Its story is part of one larger, connected narrative shared with the other Avengers Campus lands around the world (Disney California Adventure and, under the name Stark Expo, Hong Kong Disneyland). Several major set pieces carry the story: the Quinjet (the Avengers’ iconic aircraft), the Avengers Deployment Vehicle (ADV), which in the story was designed by Tony Stark with Shuri of the Wakanda Design Group to send the superheroes into action, plus F.R.I.D.A.Y. (Female Replacement Intelligent Digital Assistant Youth) and the Hulkbuster.

The land has two rides. Avengers Assemble: Flight Force is a retheme of the former Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster. It keeps the indoor coaster track with its three inversions, in newly themed ride vehicles. Riders team up with Iron Man and Captain Marvel to steer Kree missiles away from Earth. Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure invites you to an open house at the W.E.B. (Worldwide Engineering Brigade), Tony Stark’s fictional company, where robotic spiders called Spider-Bots run wild and multiply. Wearing 3D glasses, riders stretch out their arms to sling webs while the technology tracks their movements. Targets are worth different points depending on their color (blue, green, gold), and a scoreboard shows the top scores of the day, week, and month.

The Hero Training Center, next to Flight Force, hosts meet-and-greets with Marvel characters.

For food, there are three restaurants: PYM Kitchen (themed to Ant-Man and his shrinking and growing experiments), Stark Factory, and Super Diner, plus three food trucks: WEB - Worldwide Eating Brigade, FAN-tastic Food Truck, and Cassie’s Ice Cream. The main stores are Mission Equipment and Portal Shop. Finally, the land has rooftop shows where stunt performers playing the superheroes (Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther, and others) put on regular acrobatic sequences.

The land is presented as a secret Avengers recruitment center for the next generation of superheroes. You walk into a base where you’re treated as a hero in training and join missions alongside Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, and other Marvel figures.

The common thread is a hero’s training: each ride is a mission (Avengers Assemble: Flight Force = a real flight operation, Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure = training to catch Spider-Bots), and the superhero meet-and-greets keep the immersion going.

What sets it apart

Marvel’s home at the resort, with a pair of high-intensity rides. You’ll find Avengers Assemble: Flight Force (the resort’s fastest launched coaster) and Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure (an interactive dark ride), along with a number of superhero meet-and-greets. The land debuted in 2022, laid out over the old Backlot.

History

This site used to be the Backlot area, open from 2002 to 2019, which was home to Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster avec Aerosmith (closed in September 2019), Armageddon: Les Effets Spéciaux, and the stunt show Moteurs... Action!.

The land is part of the Disney Adventure World expansion plan announced in February 2018 (D23 Expo Japan), which called for three themed areas: Marvel, Frozen, and Star Wars (the last one was eventually dropped). That’s where Disney revealed that Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster would become an Iron Man ride, and the Avengers Campus name was confirmed at the 2019 D23 Expo.

Walt Disney Imagineering designed the land, and construction ran from April 1, 2019, to summer 2022. The Covid-19 pandemic delayed the opening, so Marvel Avengers Campus didn’t welcome guests until July 20, 2022, where the Backlot once stood.

Where the inspiration comes from

The land is modeled on Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure (June 4, 2021), the first Marvel land in the world. The Paris version places Avengers Assemble: Flight Force on the track of the former Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster.

Pros and cons

The highlights

The downsides

  • Only two rides in total
  • The original Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster track was kept, which feels less innovative

My verdict

Julie
Julie ★★★★☆ 200+ visits since 2023

Avengers Campus is a land I enjoy, though it doesn’t top my list. For me, the highlight is the meet-and-greets. Coming face to face with Iron Man, Spider-Man, and the rest of the superheroes is what makes the whole place feel alive.

Then there’s the competition factor on Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure, which I adore. Every time I walk out and see the scoreboard, I want to jump back in line to top my own score (or somebody else’s). Once I start, I just can’t let it go.

My one small complaint: I’m less of a fan of the new theme on Flight Force. I had a real soft spot for the vibe of the ride it replaced, Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster, and I miss it a little.

Map & getting there

The land sits on the left side of Disney Adventure World, and you reach it from World Premiere Plaza at the park entrance.

Your questions about this land

01 What are the lands at Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park) after the transformation?

Disney Adventure World, which replaces the former Walt Disney Studios Park, is now divided into 6 lands. World Premiere Plaza (2 rides) has Tower of Terror, Les Tapis Volants, and the World Premiere hub. Avengers Campus (2 rides) brings together Avengers Assemble: Flight Force and Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure. Worlds of Pixar (7 rides) is home to Crush’s Coaster, Ratatouille, RC Racer, Cars Quatre Roues Rallye, Cars ROAD TRIP, Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin, and Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop. World of Frozen (just one ride for now), which opened on March 29, 2026, features Frozen Ever After. Adventure Way (1 ride) is where you’ll find Raiponce Tangled Spin.

02 Which rides shouldn’t you miss at Disney Adventure World?

At Disney Adventure World, I have my personal favorites. At 63 meters, Tower of Terror is the tallest ride in all of Disneyland Paris and delivers big thrills. Avengers Assemble: Flight Force is still the fastest ride in the resort. Crush’s Coaster is a cult classic, but it has the longest lines. Ratatouille is an immersive ride you shouldn’t skip. Frozen Ever After, in the new World of Frozen land that opened on March 29, 2026, is the big new addition you have to try. Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure rounds out the list of top picks at Avengers Campus.

03 How can you avoid long lines for the most popular rides?

To skip long lines at Disneyland Paris, I mix several strategies. First, Single Rider is free and really speeds things up on the rides that offer it, including Crush’s Coaster, Flight Force, Ratatouille, and Spider-Man, as long as you don’t mind boarding apart from your group. Next, Disney Premier Access is a paid service that guarantees you priority entry on the headline rides. If you’re staying at a Disney hotel, Extra Magic Time lets you into the park before official opening, and that’s the best time to ride the popular attractions back to back without waiting. Last, heading to the busiest rides during a parade or a big show empties the lines dramatically.
