At a glance

Sitting at the entrance of Disney Adventure World (the park once called Walt Disney Studios Park) at Disneyland Paris, World Premiere Plaza is both the first land you see and the park’s central hub.

The land is made up of two parts. The first, World Premiere, fills the former Disney Studio 1 building, redecorated so guests feel they’re arriving at the Hollywood premiere of a blockbuster, under a starry sky. The facade facing the Front Lot is modeled on the famous Animation Building at Disney’s Burbank studios. Most guests leave through the Disney Theater. Inside, you’ll find The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant (which replaced the former En Coulisses), The Searchlight Kiosk, and the Mickey’s of Hollywood Boutique store.

The second part is World Premiere Plaza itself, the square that wraps around the Studio Theater and the Animagique Theater. This theater district has an Art Deco look and calls to mind London’s West End and New York’s Broadway. Giant posters inspired by Broadway imagery line the facades to announce the show lineup, and a lot of care went into the nighttime lighting and staging. The plaza is paved and planted with trees and flower beds, with plenty of benches.

The land is home to one iconic ride, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror - Hollywood Tower Hotel, along with Les Tapis Volants - Flying Carpets Over Agrabah, a family ride based on Aladdin. Several shows and experiences fill the area: Mickey and the Magician (at the Animagique Theater), TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure (at the Studio Theater), Disney Junior Dream Factory (at Studio D), Frozen: A Musical Invitation (at Animation Celebration), Stitch Live!, Alice and the Queen of Hearts: Return to Wonderland, and Animation Academy. You can also meet characters dressed in movie star outfits (Mickey, Minnie, and others) here.

Several decorative pieces from Production Courtyard and Toon Studio were brought back into the new theme. The Partners statue of Walt Disney and Mickey now faces Adventure Way, a symbol of the shift toward the new immersive worlds. The bronze-finish Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey statue stands in the middle of a planted bed, surrounded by smaller sculptures of iconic characters (Donald, Dumbo, Mulan, Tarzan) that used to sit around Animation Celebration. In this way, the land works as a storytelling turning point, taking guests from behind the scenes of moviemaking into the immersive worlds of Disney films (Marvel Avengers Campus, Worlds of Pixar, World of Frozen).

The land is designed as your arrival on Hollywood Boulevard in the 1930s, during the golden age of the movies. You’re welcomed like a VIP showing up for a world premiere (World Premiere) at a big studio, complete with theater lobbies, spotlights, and neon signs.

The common thread is moviemaking seen from the inside: every attraction is a cinematic experience (Tower of Terror = an episode of Twilight Zone, Mickey and the Magician = a stage musical, TOGETHER = a Pixar concert set to film, Stitch Live! = a live interactive show).

What sets it apart

The park’s entrance, rebranded in 2026 around the spirit of Hollywood’s golden age. Tower of Terror, Mickey and the Magician, Stitch Live!, TOGETHER, and the park’s main stores (Walt Disney Studios Store, Animation Boutique, Hollywood Jewel Box). No other spot in the resort has as many indoor theater shows.

History

When Walt Disney Studios opened on March 16, 2002, this space was the Front Lot and Disney Studio 1, where guests walked through a 1930s Hollywood movie set. Over the years, the area was home to Animagique (2002-2016), CinéMagique (2002-2017), the Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic (2002-2021), and then Tower of Terror, which arrived on December 22, 2007.

On July 2, 2016, the Animagique Theater welcomed Mickey and the Magician. CinéMagique ended its run in 2017, and the Studio Theater then underwent a large-scale refurbishment, hosting a handful of temporary shows in between, until TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure debuted in summer 2023.

Work to reimagine the whole area started in April 2024. World Premiere, inside the redecorated former Disney Studio 1 building, opened on May 15, 2025. For the return of Mickey and the Magician on April 21, 2025, an Art Deco mural (featuring official partner Visa) was painted under the Animagique Theater’s covered entryway.

The land got its new name, World Premiere Plaza, on March 29, 2026, as part of the Disney Adventure World rebrand, bringing together the former Front Lot and Production Courtyard areas. The makeover went on until World of Frozen opened in spring 2026: the old concrete streets of Production Courtyard gave way to paving stones, trees, and benches, the food kiosks took on an Art Deco style, and new shopping experiences were added.

Where the inspiration comes from

The land takes its cue from Hollywood Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando (1989) and Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure (2012), both of which celebrate Hollywood’s golden age in the 1930s.

Pros and cons

The highlights

  • Central hub location connecting all the other lands in the park
  • Polished Art Deco look that recalls the theater districts of Broadway and the West End
  • Greener grounds: trees and benches now stand where bare concrete used to be

The downsides

  • Existing buildings reused instead of new rides being built
  • A makeover spread out over time, only finished in 2026
  • The original 2002 Disney Studio 1 experience is gone
  • Mostly a place you walk through on the way to the other, more themed lands

My verdict

A lot of people see World Premiere Plaza as just a place to pass through, but it’s packed with history. The Place des Frères Lumière and the World Premiere Theater building hide an incredible number of references. I encourage you to take your time looking for them. It’s like a real scavenger hunt.

And then there’s that moment when you step out of the building and all of Hollywood Boulevard suddenly opens up in front of you. The view is simply spectacular.

I really like this new 2026 rebrand. It finally gives the park’s entrance the scale it deserved.

Map & getting there

This land is the main entrance to Disney Adventure World. It leads straight into Worlds of Pixar and on to the rest of the park around the Adventure Bay lake.

Your questions about this land

01 What are the lands at Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park) after the transformation?

Disney Adventure World, which replaces the former Walt Disney Studios Park, is now divided into 6 lands. World Premiere Plaza (2 rides) has Tower of Terror, Les Tapis Volants, and the World Premiere hub. Avengers Campus (2 rides) brings together Avengers Assemble: Flight Force and Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure. Worlds of Pixar (7 rides) is home to Crush’s Coaster, Ratatouille, RC Racer, Cars Quatre Roues Rallye, Cars ROAD TRIP, Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin, and Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop. World of Frozen (just one ride for now), which opened on March 29, 2026, features Frozen Ever After. Adventure Way (1 ride) is where you’ll find Raiponce Tangled Spin.

02 Which rides shouldn’t you miss at Disney Adventure World?

At Disney Adventure World, I have my personal favorites. At 63 meters, Tower of Terror is the tallest ride in all of Disneyland Paris and delivers big thrills. Avengers Assemble: Flight Force is still the fastest ride in the resort. Crush’s Coaster is a cult classic, but it has the longest lines. Ratatouille is an immersive ride you shouldn’t skip. Frozen Ever After, in the new World of Frozen land that opened on March 29, 2026, is the big new addition you have to try. Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure rounds out the list of top picks at Avengers Campus.

03 How can you avoid long lines for the most popular rides?

To skip long lines at Disneyland Paris, I mix several strategies. First, Single Rider is free and really speeds things up on the rides that offer it, including Crush’s Coaster, Flight Force, Ratatouille, and Spider-Man, as long as you don’t mind boarding apart from your group. Next, Disney Premier Access is a paid service that guarantees you priority entry on the headline rides. If you’re staying at a Disney hotel, Extra Magic Time lets you into the park before official opening, and that’s the best time to ride the popular attractions back to back without waiting. Last, heading to the busiest rides during a parade or a big show empties the lines dramatically.
