At a glance

Adventure Way is one of the lands of Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios) at Disneyland Paris. Located past World Premiere Plaza, in the center of the park, it connects the entrance area to the immersive worlds beyond, including World of Frozen and the upcoming Pride Lands.

The land is designed as a green promenade, with a main path running through it toward Adventure Bay, a 3-hectare lake (70,000 m³) that forms the core of the park. The landscaping includes 1,000 trees and 100,000 shrubs, spread across several smaller spaces. The Gazebo Garden is an English-inspired garden decorated with statues of Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, and Pongo with his puppies, and it’s where the Disney Music Festival is back. The Toy Story Garden is a path linking Adventure Way to Toy Story Playland (Worlds of Pixar).

Adventure Way has two rides. Raiponce Tangled Spin (its French name translates to "Rapunzel’s Spiral") is a family teacup-style ride based on the movie Tangled: guests climb into spinning gondolas under a setting that recalls the floating lanterns scene. The second, Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings, is based on the movie Up and built as a swing ride. It’s announced for 2027, across from Raiponce Tangled Spin, and will take guests into the world of the Wilderness Explorers, Russell’s scouting troop.

For food, The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge (called "Royal View Restaurant & Bar" in French) offers table service with a panoramic view of Adventure Bay and a meal with Disney Princesses, along with cafés and kiosks along the walkway. Stores set along the path sell Disney and Pixar souvenirs.

The Adventure Bay lake is the setting for the nighttime water show Disney Cascade of Lights, which blends projections on the water, fountains, and drones, and brings out characters from the Disney, Pixar, and Marvel worlds (Moana, Mulan, Carl and Russell from Up, the Avengers). Character meet and greets (Mickey among them) and live music add rhythm to the promenade.

Think of the land as an adventure path that strings several Disney worlds together. You walk in the wake of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider as they chase adventure, and the walkway carries you straight on to the kingdom of Arendelle (World of Frozen) and to Pixar’s world (Worlds of Pixar).

Everything here revolves around the idea of journeys and getting away from it all: Adventure Way acts as a storytelling bridge that carries you from one big land of Disney Adventure World to the next.

What sets it apart

Disney Adventure World’s new 2026 land, devoted to Tangled. The Raiponce Tangled Spin ride, themed restaurants, and a walkway linking Worlds of Pixar to World of Frozen. It’s the first land anywhere in the world built entirely around the movie Tangled.

History

Adventure Way is a brand-new land, built as part of the Disney Adventure World rebrand and opened on March 29, 2026. It’s the first land in the world devoted entirely to the movies Tangled and Up.

It belongs to the park expansion plan announced in 2018 (Avengers Campus, a Frozen land, and a Star Wars land). In 2024, a Lion King project took the place of the Star Wars area, and at the D23 Expo both Adventure Way and Adventure Bay were confirmed as areas in their own right. Construction had started in 2022. Walt Disney Imagineering designed the land, which opened with Raiponce Tangled Spin, while the second ride (Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings, based on Up) is expected in 2027.

Where the inspiration comes from

A completely original land created for Disneyland Paris in 2026. It’s the first land in the world built entirely around the movies Tangled and Up, and no other Disney park has anything like it.

My verdict

Adventure Way is a really well-done walk. It’s a little light on rides, I’ll admit, but it more than makes up for it with plenty of food stands. The park badly needed them, and they make all the difference.

What I like most is the potential of the space, with room to host entertainment and concerts as the seasons change and keep the land lively all year long.

And then there’s the view over Adventure Bay, with a perfect line of sight to enjoy the nighttime show in full 360°.

Your questions about this land

01 What are the lands at Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park) after the transformation?

Disney Adventure World, which replaces the former Walt Disney Studios Park, is now divided into 6 lands. World Premiere Plaza (2 rides) has Tower of Terror, Les Tapis Volants, and the World Premiere hub. Avengers Campus (2 rides) brings together Avengers Assemble: Flight Force and Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure. Worlds of Pixar (7 rides) is home to Crush’s Coaster, Ratatouille, RC Racer, Cars Quatre Roues Rallye, Cars ROAD TRIP, Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin, and Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop. World of Frozen (just one ride for now), which opened on March 29, 2026, features Frozen Ever After. Adventure Way (1 ride) is where you’ll find Raiponce Tangled Spin.

02 Which rides shouldn’t you miss at Disney Adventure World?

At Disney Adventure World, I have my personal favorites. At 63 meters, Tower of Terror is the tallest ride in all of Disneyland Paris and delivers big thrills. Avengers Assemble: Flight Force is still the fastest ride in the resort. Crush’s Coaster is a cult classic, but it has the longest lines. Ratatouille is an immersive ride you shouldn’t skip. Frozen Ever After, in the new World of Frozen land that opened on March 29, 2026, is the big new addition you have to try. Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure rounds out the list of top picks at Avengers Campus.

03 How can you avoid long lines for the most popular rides?

To skip long lines at Disneyland Paris, I mix several strategies. First, Single Rider is free and really speeds things up on the rides that offer it, including Crush’s Coaster, Flight Force, Ratatouille, and Spider-Man, as long as you don’t mind boarding apart from your group. Next, Disney Premier Access is a paid service that guarantees you priority entry on the headline rides. If you’re staying at a Disney hotel, Extra Magic Time lets you into the park before official opening, and that’s the best time to ride the popular attractions back to back without waiting. Last, heading to the busiest rides during a parade or a big show empties the lines dramatically.
