The Magical Shuttle is a shared coach service linking the Paris airports with Disneyland Paris. It leaves from Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG) and Orly and drops you right at your hotel. It’s a simple option and cheaper than a taxi, especially when you’re arriving by plane with luggage and don’t know the area.

Allow about €24 per adult for a single, with a discounted price for children. The service runs during the day and needs booking ahead. I explain everything in detail below.

What is the Magical Shuttle, the Disneyland Paris airport shuttle?

The Magical Shuttle is an official transport service between the Paris airports and Disneyland Paris. It works as a shared coach: you travel with other passengers and the coach drops everyone at their hotel, one after the other.

There are three ways to travel with the Magical Shuttle, depending on your budget and needs.

The shared coach (the main option)

This is the most popular and cheapest option. You share the coach with other passengers and it makes several stops to drop everyone at their hotel. It’s comfortable and convenient, but a bit slower than a direct journey (more on that below).

Magical Shuttle Private (with a private driver)

If you’d rather have a direct journey, not shared and with no stops along the way, there’s the Private option. You book a vehicle with a driver just for you: a saloon, a people carrier or a minibus depending on the size of your group. The journey goes straight from the airport to your hotel, and this service is also available from central Paris.

This option is priced on request and costs more than the shared coach. It’s worth it if you’re a large family or a group, or if you want to save time.

The wheelchair-accessible vehicle

The standard coaches aren’t equipped to take a wheelchair. If you have reduced mobility, an adapted vehicle can be provided, but it must be booked in advance. Remember to mention it when you book.

Which airports and hotels does it serve?

The Magical Shuttle serves Paris’s two main airports, in both directions (from the airport to Disneyland Paris and from Disneyland Paris to the airport).

The shuttle from Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG)

If you land at Charles de Gaulle, the shuttle leaves from the airport. The pick-up point depends on your terminal. On arrival, follow the signs for shuttles and go to the Magical Shuttle desk. The exact points (terminal, door, bay) can change: check them on the official website magicalshuttle.fr before you travel.

The shuttle from Orly

If you land at Orly, the shuttle also leaves from the airport. As at Charles de Gaulle, find the shuttle area when you arrive and go to the Magical Shuttle desk. Here too, check the exact pick-up point online before your trip.

Where the shuttle drops you off

  • The Disney hotels on site
  • The partner hotels around the park
  • The Val d’Europe area
  • Villages Nature Paris

How much does the Magical Shuttle cost?

Pricing is simple and the same whether you leave from Charles de Gaulle or Orly. Here are the prices for a single journey.

PassengerSingle price
Adult€24
Child (aged 3 to 11)€11
Baby (under 3)Free

Magical Shuttle prices for a single journey (same price from CDG or Orly)

A discounted price is sometimes available for a return booked online, and group offers may apply if you’re travelling with others. As these offers change, check the current terms on the official website.

The Magical Shuttle Private option (vehicle with driver) is priced on request and costs more: the price depends on the type of vehicle and the number of passengers.

What are the times?

The Magical Shuttle runs during the day only, until early evening. There’s no night service. Departures are regular, several times an hour, but less frequent from Orly than from Charles de Gaulle.

Exact times change with the season and the airport. The airport-to-park and park-to-airport directions don’t have quite the same time slots either. Before your trip, I recommend using the online planner on magicalshuttle.fr to see the exact slots for your dates.

How much time should you allow?

The journey takes about an hour on average. But that’s an average, not a guarantee: as the coach is shared and drops off at several hotels one after the other, the actual time depends on the order of the stops and the traffic. If your hotel is the last stop, your journey will be longer.

This is the main thing to bear in mind: the Magical Shuttle is slower than a taxi or private hire car that takes you direct. On the other hand, it’s much cheaper.

How to book the Magical Shuttle

There are three ways to book your shuttle. I recommend booking ahead: your seat is guaranteed, which is especially useful at busy times (French school holidays, French bank holidays and long weekends).

  • When you book your holiday, by adding the transfer straight to your booking on the Disneyland Paris website. It’s the simplest way.
  • Later, on the operator’s website magicalshuttle.fr: handy if you’ve already booked your hotel elsewhere.
  • At the desk at the airport when you arrive: possible, but best avoided as your seat isn’t guaranteed and you may have to wait at busy times.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Cheaper than a taxi or private hire car
  • Drops you right at your hotel, with no changes
  • No need to haul your luggage onto a train
  • An option for visitors with reduced mobility
  • Greener than travelling on your own, since the coach is shared

Cons

  • Slower and less flexible than a taxi or private hire car, as the journey is shared with several stops
  • Daytime only, no service late in the evening or at night
  • You need to book and plan ahead, especially at busy times

The Magical Shuttle isn’t always the best option for everyone. Here’s a quick comparison to help you decide. If you’re coming from Paris rather than an airport, the RER A (Paris suburban train) is often simpler and cheaper: I cover it all in my guide to taking the RER A from Paris.

Frequently asked questions

01 Should I book the Magical Shuttle in advance?

It’s strongly recommended. Booking in advance guarantees your seat, especially during French school holidays and busy periods. You can add it to your holiday when booking on the Disneyland Paris website, or book it later on magicalshuttle.fr. Buying at the desk on arrival is still possible, but there’s no guarantee of a seat.

02 Does the Magical Shuttle go to my hotel?

The shuttle stops at the Disney hotels, the partner hotels around the park, the Val d’Europe area and Villages Nature Paris. When you book, you select your hotel from the list: if it’s there, it is served.

03 How long does the Magical Shuttle journey take?

About an hour on average. As it’s a shared coach that drops off at several hotels one after another, the journey time depends on the order of the stops and the traffic. So it takes longer than a taxi or private hire car that takes you straight there.

04 Does the Magical Shuttle run at night?

No. The Magical Shuttle only runs during the day, every day, and stops in the early evening. For a flight that lands or leaves late, plan on a taxi or private hire car.

05 How much does the Magical Shuttle cost and do babies travel free?

Babies under 3 travel free (mention them when you book) and children aged 3 to 11 get a discounted price. The up-to-date adult price is on magicalshuttle.fr when you book.

06 Is the Magical Shuttle accessible to visitors with reduced mobility?

The standard coaches are not equipped for wheelchairs, but an adapted vehicle can be provided. You need to book it in advance and mention it when you make your booking.

07 How long before my flight should I take the shuttle back?

Leave plenty of time. As the shuttle is shared and depends on traffic, a good rule of thumb is to take it about 3 hours before take-off, allowing for dropping off other passengers and checking in at the airport.
