At a glance

Animation Academy is a drawing class led by a Disney artist at Disney Adventure World. During a session of about twenty minutes, you learn step by step how to draw a Disney character: the animator sketches each stage on a large board, explains the proportions and the lines, and you follow along on your own sheet at your own pace.

No skill level is required: the class is designed for everyone, from kids just starting to draw to adults who want to give it a try. At the end, you leave with your own drawing, a sweet keepsake to bring home. The character you draw varies from session to session.

The activity is free, included with your ticket, and takes place indoors at World Premiere Plaza, right by the park entrance. It’s a quiet break, pleasant between two rides or on a rainy day. There’s no booking: just turn up at the posted time, as long as spots are still available.

Theme & world

Set at the entrance to Disney Adventure World, in a space devoted to animation, the class lets you step into the shoes of a Disney artist for one session: an animator draws each line on the board while you follow along on your sheet of paper.
