At a glance
Stitch Live! is an interactive show of about fifteen minutes that uses "Living Characters" technology. Guests are invited into the Galactical Communications Center, a galactic transmission hub in shades of blue, with neon lights and futuristic Art Deco lines, to answer an urgent mission from the Grand Councilwoman of the United Galactic Federation: find Stitch, who has vanished along with Captain Gantu’s spaceship.
Once the connection is made, Stitch appears live on the giant screen in the main theater. A performer hidden backstage brings him to life in real time with a joystick and a voice system, so he chats with the audience, teases the crowd, asks questions, and adjusts his lines to their answers. Lilo calls him on the phone, Gantu eventually catches up with him, and the audience is asked to guide him from room to room through the ship until he reaches an escape pod.
Every performance turns out differently, depending on the performer’s improv and the energy in the room. The technology even lets Stitch snap a live photo of a child in the front row and put it up on the screen, which makes it feel like you’re really meeting the character.
Details for fans in the know: the Disney Channel logo is still visible on the attraction’s sign (left over from the days when the building housed the channel’s French branch), the cast members’ costumes at the entrance haven’t changed since the previous attraction, and a Hidden Mickey is tucked into the stained glass in the line.
The only show at the resort where your child can have a live conversation with Stitch. A performer backstage animates Stitch in real time and answers questions from the audience. Each performance changes depending on the kids in the room.

History
When the destination opened in 2002, the Studio 4 building (then home to the Walt Disney Television Studios) housed the French branch of Disney Channel and the Television Production Tour attraction (with the Zapping Zone program and the Disney Channel CyberSpace area), which showed guests what goes on behind the scenes of TV production. It closed on April 16, 2007, making way for Stitch Live!, which opened on March 22, 2008 and brought real-time animated interactive shows to Paris. The attraction’s name was picked by an online vote on the official Disneyland Paris website, from three options: Stitch, Stitch Live, and Stitch Interactive. In the early months, the preshow room played Disney Channel music videos, which were dropped starting August 13, 2008.
Developed by Walt Disney Imagineering, this innovative attraction relies on the digital puppetry of "Living Characters" technology, first used on a large scale for Turtle Talk with Crush at Epcot in 2004. The idea goes back even further, to phones set up in Tomorrowland (Disneyland Resort) that let guests talk to Stitch and other characters. From a soundproof booth, a performer animates the computer-generated character while talking with the audience, so every session is one of a kind. The computer servers and rendering processors have been upgraded regularly, keeping the movement smooth and the lip-sync precise. On June 2, 2018, during the Disney FanDaze Inaugural Party, a special version of the show, "Dr. Jumba and Pleakley’s Special Mission: Stitch!", was performed twice as a one-time event.
Theme & world
Stitch Live! takes its story from Lilo & Stitch. At the Galactical Communications Center, Stitch (known as Experiment 626 in the movie) talks face to face with the crowd. Captain Gantu, the United Galactic Federation’s Grand Councilwoman, and Lilo, who calls in by phone, all jump into the conversation, each brought to life in real time through Living Characters technology.
Who it’s made for
Pros and cons
The highlights
- Real, improvised interaction with Stitch
- Indoor show, sheltered from the weather
- Every performance is different
- Live photo shown on screen
The downsides
- First waiting room has little theming
- Quality depends on the performer
- Mostly geared toward kids
My verdict
In my opinion, this improv concept still hits the mark, though it naturally depends on the performer. The character’s spontaneous comebacks get huge laughs from kids and often catch adults off guard. It’s a refreshing interactive break that shakes up the usual rhythm of rides and literally tailors itself to each performance.
Since the theater is fairly small, people are seated in successive waves, and the wait can vary a lot depending on the time of day and the language you pick. My insider tip: sit young kids on the mats right in front of the screen and encourage them to join in, since the performers look first for the most expressive faces in the room.

Map & getting there
The show takes place in Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios), inside Studio 4 in the World Premiere Plaza area (formerly Production Courtyard), close to the show TOGETHER: a Pixar Musical Adventure.
A giant satellite dish towers over the building’s entrance. The experience happens in two rooms: a welcome area with a countdown, then the show theater (eight rows of benches split by a center aisle) facing a giant screen.
Your questions about this show
01 Which stage shows are playing at Disneyland Paris in 2026?
In 2026, 7 major stage shows are on the schedule: Mickey’s PhilharMagic, The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands, Animation Academy, Mickey and the Magician, Minnie’s Dream Factory, Stitch Live!, and TOGETHER: a Pixar Musical Adventure. They play in air-conditioned theaters at Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World, with several performances a day.
02 Is a reservation required for theater shows?
No. Theater shows cost nothing extra and come with your ticket, using the regular standby line. Guaranteed Access, roughly €15, is an optional add-on: you skip some waiting and are sure to get a seat, even when the show is full.
03 Can shows and parades be canceled?
Yes. In bad weather (strong winds, thunderstorms, steady rain), nighttime shows can be canceled with no notice and no replacement. Parades sometimes are too. Check the status that day in the Disneyland Paris app.
04 How can you check the day’s schedule for shows and parades?
In the Disneyland Paris app (under Today in the Park) or on my blog. Showtimes change every day depending on the season and crowds, so I recommend checking that same morning.
05 Are shows and parades included with your ticket?
Yes, all daytime shows, parades, and nighttime shows (Disney Tales of Magic and Disney Cascade of Lights) are included in the ticket price, in the free viewing areas. The only optional extras are the paid premium viewing spot (a reserved spot closer to the stage) and Guaranteed Access to a theater show, both sold in the Disneyland Paris app.
