At a glance
The Red Garter Saloon is the iconic bar at Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne, a 2-star hotel themed entirely around the American Wild West, with Toy Story characters added since its renovation. Its name recalls the red garters once worn by waitresses in Old West saloons.
Everything here is meant to evoke a saloon of the nineteenth century: dark woodwork, soft low lighting, swinging doors, vintage ad posters, lassos, "wanted posters," cowboy hats, and chairs shaped like saddles. A piano and a small stage sit above the main bar, with country music playing softly and live entertainment now and then. Outside, a patio faces the hotel’s themed street.
The drinks menu highlights Wild West cocktails, along with beers, wines, sodas, and mocktails. For food, there are snacks and sandwiches, including a snack combo with pizza and a drink. You order directly at the bar.
A period Texas saloon atmosphere. With its wooden floors and vintage posters, this bar at the Disney Hotel Cheyenne takes you back to the US of the late nineteenth century. Grab a seat at the counter and order a cold drink while laid-back country music plays. It’s the perfect spot to unwind after your adventures.

History
Opened on April 12, 1992, the Red Garter Saloon is the original bar of Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne.
The bar stands on the central square of the hotel’s fictional frontier town. Its name comes from the red garters that cabaret dancers wore back then. The classic saloon look, from the swinging doors to the country tunes, has stayed exactly as it was from day one.

My verdict
The Red Garter Saloon is a Western saloon-style bar at Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne, with immersive nineteenth-century decor. What it has going for it is the friendly Wild West vibe and prices that rank among the most affordable of any Disney bar.
I’ve had a drink here on several of my stays, and my verdict matches what other guests say: it’s a fun, budget-friendly stop, at around €14 per cocktail, in a bar that’s been open since 1992. The saloon decor and the outdoor patio are pleasant. On the downside, you order at the bar only, and the hotel is still a long way from the parks. It’s a good evening option for guests staying at the Cheyenne.
It’s a great pick for hotel guests who want a laid-back drink with a cowboy feel. Skip it if you’re based far from the Cheyenne or you’re after a full meal.

Your questions about this restaurant
01 Where can you find cheap eats in the Disneyland Paris parks?
To keep costs down, stick to the quick-service counters rated €. Casey’s Corner serves hot dogs on Main Street, Café Hyperion offers burgers and nuggets in Discoveryland, Colonel Hathi’s Pizza Outpost has pizza by the slice in Adventureland, and Cowboy Cookout Barbecue in Frontierland is still a good deal. Over at Disney Adventure World, Stark Factory and Super Diner remain affordable. Tip: Mobile Order in the app also lets you order at some counters without waiting in line. And for a little snack, a waffle, churros, or ice cream for €5-10 hits the spot.
02 Do Disney restaurants have kids’ menus?
Yes, nearly every Disneyland Paris restaurant has a child price (ages 3-11). At the all-you-can-eat buffets, kids pay about half price: €25 at Agrabah Café, €25 at Cape Cod, €20 at La Cantina. Classic table-service restaurants also have a kids’ menu with a kid-friendly appetizer, main course, and dessert. At the quick-service counters, you’ll find kids’ menus that include a drink and a dessert. You can ask for a high chair when you book, using the "special request" field.
03 Are there vegetarian and vegan options at Disneyland Paris restaurants?
Yes, a growing number of Disneyland Paris restaurants have vegetarian and vegan choices. In Frontierland, Lucky Nugget Saloon offers an entirely vegan menu, and over in Fantasyland, Toad Hall Restaurant serves breaded plant-based crispy bites that are very good. Most of the other table-service restaurants and buffets list at least one vegetarian dish. Simple buffets such as Agrabah Café or Cape Cod have meatless options too. For the full picture, get my free file by email, which gathers the menus of every Disneyland Paris restaurant: you can check the veggie options ahead of your visit.
04 Where should you go for an afternoon treat or a small bite in the parks?
The parks are packed with kiosks and snack stands for when hunger strikes. On the sweet side, there’s Cookie Kitchen on Main Street U.S.A., March Hare Refreshments in Fantasyland, waffle and churro stands all over, and roaming popcorn and ice cream carts. On the savory side, the hot dogs at Casey’s Corner. Plan on €5-10 per snack. Quick tip: some stands sell reusable collectible popcorn buckets that make fun souvenirs and get you discounted refills all day long.
05 What is the Disneyland Paris half-board meal plan, and who can get it?
The Disneyland Paris half-board meal plan is a prepaid dining package that includes the breakfast buffet at your Disney hotel plus one or more meals at a participating restaurant. It’s only for guests staying at an official Disney hotel: you can’t add it if you’re visiting for the day. There are actually four plans: Standard, Plus, Extra Plus, and Premium, each covering a different set of restaurants at a different price. Extra Plus is in fact a full-board meal plan (two meals a day), not just half board. The main benefit: you set your dining budget ahead of time and enjoy your trip with no surprises when the check arrives. For arrivals from April 1, 2027, Disney is replacing these four plans with Essential, Extra, Signature, and Royal. I break down what’s changing in my guide to the meal plans.
