Meeting Minnie at Disneyland Paris

Where to meet Minnie at Disneyland Paris for a photo, a hug or an autograph, how to check she’s there on the day and the difference between actually meeting her and just seeing her go by.

The surest way to meet Minnie at Disneyland Paris is to go to her meet and greet spot in Disneyland Park, usually at Videopolis (Discoveryland). There you leave with a photo, and your children can ask for a hug and an autograph.

Minnie isn’t there all the time and the spot can change depending on the period, so get into one simple habit: open the official Disneyland Paris app on the day to confirm where and when she’s meeting guests.

A common mix-up: meeting Minnie isn’t the same as seeing her. In this guide I separate three situations.

Meeting her
a real moment by her side (photo, hug, autograph) at her meet and greet spot.
Bumping into her at a restaurant
during a character meal, where she goes from table to table (booking required, extra cost).
Seeing her
simply spotting her in the parade, from a distance, with no close-up photo.

Knowing which one you’re after saves you from disappointment.

Where and how to meet Minnie at Disneyland Paris

Minnie’s main meet and greet spot is in Disneyland Park, over by Videopolis in Discoveryland (and sometimes near Cowboy Cookout Barbecue in Frontierland).

The meet and greet takes place in front of a backdrop of European landmarks (Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, Leaning Tower of Pisa) and a Disney PhotoPass photographer is there to capture the moment. Expect a short time together: long enough for a photo, an autograph and, for children, a hug.

One thing to know so you’re not caught out: depending on the day, it isn’t always Minnie greeting guests here. Sometimes it’s one of her friends, often Daisy (and sometimes Clarice the chipmunk).

So she isn’t guaranteed to be there on any given day. That’s why I recommend checking the app before you queue: it shows which character is scheduled and at what times.

  • It’s free The meet and greet is included in your park ticket. Nothing extra to pay for a photo or an autograph.
  • You queue on the spot You join the queue and wait for your turn. Minnie’s meet and greet doesn’t use the virtual queue (still check the day’s status in the app).
  • The spot can change Videopolis is the usual location, but it can move after certain events. Confirm in the app.
  • Your photos on PhotoPass The photographer on site saves your shots to your PhotoPass account, to collect afterwards. You can also take photos with your phone.

Since 2025, some character meet and greets use a virtual queue: instead of waiting on the spot, you book a free time slot in the app. For now, Minnie isn’t one of them: her meet and greet is still a regular queue, where you wait in person. As the schedule changes, check the day’s status in the app. If you’d like to understand how it works, I explain it in detail in the virtual queue guide.

Meeting Minnie at a restaurant

Another way to meet Minnie, more relaxed and without standing in a queue: book a character meal. Minnie appears at some "Mickey and Friends" buffet meals, where the characters go from table to table. Bear in mind that not every character meal features her: some are dedicated to the princesses, for example. Your children see her come straight to them for a photo and a hug while you eat.

These meals cost extra and must be booked in advance: it’s a different option from the free meet and greet with a queue.

Here are the restaurants where you can meet Minnie:

Restaurant Characters
Plaza Gardens Restaurant Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Scrooge McDuck, Goofy, Pluto, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit, Eeyore, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Pinocchio, Geppetto, Chip & Dale

Seeing Minnie without meeting her

If you only want to catch a glimpse of Minnie, you’ll see her in the Disneyland Park parade. She’s often on the opening float, alongside Mickey, Donald and Daisy, plus Pluto and the others. The parade runs from Fantasyland to Main Street U.S.A. via Central Plaza.

Bear in mind: here you see her go by from a distance, but it isn’t a meet and greet. No close-up photo, no hug, no autograph.

Depending on the season, Minnie can also be the star of her own dedicated show. Again, it’s a show where you watch her on stage, not a one-to-one moment, and it isn’t always in the same park. As these shows run on specific seasonal dates, check the day’s programme in the app to find out what’s on during your visit and where.
