At a glance
Stitch Live! is an interactive show of about fifteen minutes using "Living Characters" technology. The audience is invited into the Galactical Communications Center, a galactic transmission centre in blue tones with neon and futuristic Art Deco lines, to answer an urgent mission from the Grand Councilwoman of the United Galactic Federation: find Stitch, who has vanished with Captain Gantu’s spaceship.
Once the connection is made, Stitch appears live on the giant screen in the main theatre. Animated in real time by an actor hidden backstage with a joystick and a voice system, he chats with the audience, teases them, asks questions and adapts his lines to their answers. Lilo calls him on the phone, Gantu eventually catches up with him, and the audience has to guide him from room to room through the ship to an escape pod.
Every performance is one of a kind, shaped by the actor’s improvisation and the mood of the audience. The technology lets Stitch take a live photo of a child in the front row and put it on screen, which makes it feel like a real meeting with the character.
Details for fans: the Disney Channel logo is still visible on the attraction sign (a leftover from the days when the building housed the channel’s French branch), the cast members’ costumes at the entrance haven’t changed since the previous attraction, and a Hidden Mickey is tucked away in the stained glass of the queue.
The only show in the resort where your child can chat live with Stitch. Stitch is animated in real time by a performer backstage who answers the audience’s questions. Every performance changes depending on the kids in the room.

History
When the park opened in 2002, the Studio 4 building (then home to the Walt Disney Television Studios) housed the French arm of Disney Channel and the Television Production Tour attraction (with the Zapping Zone programme and the Disney Channel CyberSpace area), devoted to behind-the-scenes TV production. It closed on 16 April 2007 and made way for Stitch Live!, which opened on 22 March 2008, marking the arrival in Paris of interactive attractions based on real-time animation. The attraction’s name was chosen by an online vote on the official Disneyland Paris website, from three options: Stitch, Stitch Live and Stitch Interactive. In the first few months, the pre-show room played Disney Channel clips, which were removed from 13 August 2008.
This innovative attraction, developed by Walt Disney Imagineering, uses the digital puppetry of the "Living Characters" technology, first used on a large scale in Turtle Talk with Crush at Epcot in 2004. The concept goes back even further, to telephones installed in Tomorrowland (Disneyland Resort) that let guests talk to Stitch and other characters. From a hidden booth, an actor animates the computer-generated character while chatting with the audience, so every session is one of a kind. The computer servers and rendering processors have been upgraded regularly, keeping movement smooth and lip-sync precise. On 2 June 2018, at the Disney FanDaze Inaugural Party, the show was staged for two special performances in a one-off version, "Dr Jumba and Pikly’s Special Mission: Stitch!".
Theme & story
The interactive show Stitch Live! is set in the world of Lilo & Stitch, with Stitch (Experiment 626, his code name in the film) facing the audience at the Galactical Communications Center. Captain Gantu, the Grand Councilwoman of the United Galactic Federation and Lilo (on the phone) join in, all animated in real time with Living Characters technology.
Who it’s for
Pros and cons
Strong points
- Real, improvised interaction with Stitch
- Indoor show, sheltered from the weather
- Every performance is different
- Live photo shown on screen
Weak points
- First waiting room has little theming
- Quality depends on the actor
- Mostly suited to kids
My verdict
I think this improvised format always hits the mark, but it inevitably depends on the actor. The character’s off-the-cuff reactions get huge laughs from the kids and often surprise the adults too. It’s a really refreshing interactive show that breaks up the usual rhythm of the rides and is literally tailor-made at every performance.
The theatre is fairly small, so people go in in waves and the wait can vary a lot depending on the time of day and the language you choose. My insider tip: sit young children on the mats right in front of the screen and encourage them to join in, as the performers look first for the most expressive kids.

Map & getting there
The show takes place in Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios), inside Studio 4 on World Premiere Plaza (formerly Production Courtyard), close to TOGETHER: a Pixar Musical Adventure.
A giant satellite dish sits above the entrance to the building. The show uses two rooms: a holding area with a countdown, then the main theatre (eight rows of benches split by a central aisle) facing a giant screen.
Your questions about this show
01 What stage shows are on in 2026 at Disneyland Paris?
In 2026, 7 major stage shows are on: Mickey’s PhilharMagic, The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands, Animation Academy, Mickey and the Magician, Minnie’s Dream Factory, Stitch Live! and TOGETHER: a Pixar Musical Adventure. They take place in air-conditioned theatres at Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World, with several performances a day.
02 Do you need to book to see a stage show?
No. Stage shows are free and included in the ticket price, with a standard queue. Guaranteed Access, at around €15, is optional: it saves you time and secures you a seat even if the show is full.
03 Can shows and parades be cancelled?
Yes. In severe weather (high winds, storms, heavy rain), night-time shows can be cancelled without notice or replacement. Parades sometimes are too. Check the status on the day in the Disneyland Paris app.
04 Where can you find today’s show and parade times?
In the Disneyland Paris app (the Today in the park section) or on my blog. The times change every day depending on the season and the crowds, so I recommend checking that same morning.
05 Are shows and parades included in the ticket?
Yes, all daytime shows, parades and night-time shows (Disney Tales of Magic and Disney Cascade of Lights) are included in the ticket price, in the free viewing areas. Only the paid premium viewing area (a reserved spot closer to the stage) and Guaranteed Access to a stage show are optional extras, which you buy in the Disneyland Paris app.
