World Princess Week at Disneyland Paris: what to know

Each year, Disneyland Park celebrates the Disney Princesses during one special week. Extra meet and greets, themed treats, and photos: here’s what you can look forward to and when it happens.

Princess Week, officially named International Princess Week (also known as World Princess Week, and sometimes as the princess festival), is a yearly event at Disneyland Park. It usually runs for one week in the summer (expected in August 2027, with dates still to be confirmed by Disneyland Paris). During that week, the Disney Princesses take center stage all over the park, and some years bring rarer appearances. The meet and greets and entertainment are included with your park ticket.

On this page, I’m covering the special event. To meet the princesses the rest of the year, check out meeting the princesses at Disneyland Paris.

What is World Princess Week?

This annual event shines a spotlight on the Disney Princesses. It started in 2021 and runs simultaneously across several Disney parks worldwide. At Disneyland Paris, everything takes place inside Disneyland Park.

Don’t mix it up with the princess meet and greets offered year-round. Princess Week is a short window with a bigger lineup: more meet and greets, dedicated entertainment, plus themed merchandise and menus. Outside that week, you can still meet princesses, just without the special program.

When is World Princess Week?

Princess Week usually takes place over one week in the summer. The 2027 edition is expected in August, but Disneyland Paris hasn’t confirmed the exact week yet.

The dates move every year. Before you book your trip or your ticket around this event, always double-check the exact window for the year you’re planning.

The lineup for the next edition

Disney changes the full program every year and usually doesn’t share it until a few weeks before the event. Once the lineup for the next edition is out, I’ll break it all down here. Until then, past editions (2024, 2025, and 2026) are a good preview of what to expect.

On another note, princess fans have something new at Disney Adventure World, even if it isn’t tied to Princess Week: the Princess Cavalcade. For the best view, check out my best spots for the cavalcade.

What can you do there?

The program varies from year to year. Here’s what you’ll often find:

  • Extra meet and greets: you’ll find more princesses out and about than on a normal day, in several parts of the park.
  • A musical moment or a parade, depending on the year: a themed parade featuring several princesses, created just for the event.
  • Themed photos: PhotoPass Magic Shots in the event’s colors.
  • Special treats and menus: dishes and specialty drinks at some of the resort’s restaurants and bars.
  • Occasional rare appearances: in certain years, you can spot princesses who don’t come out at any other time.

Which princesses can you meet?

During the event, some editions save rarer appearances, and the princesses featured change every year.

I won’t repeat the full list here. To see them all, check out the list of Disney Princesses. And to find out where and how to meet them the rest of the year, see meeting the princesses at Disneyland Paris.

Does it cost extra?

The meet and greets and entertainment are included with your Disneyland Park ticket. You don’t pay anything extra to enjoy them.

A few activities cost more and need a reservation: the Mon Rêve Royal makeover (a prince or princess transformation, done in a store) and the themed menus or meals at some restaurants. You don’t have to sign up for them to enjoy the event.

Frequently asked questions

01 When does World Princess Week take place, and does your ticket cover it?

It usually runs for one week in the summer at Disneyland Park (the next edition is expected in August 2027, dates to be confirmed). The meet and greets and entertainment are included in your ticket. Only the Mon Rêve Royal makeover and the themed meals cost extra, by reservation. The dates change every year.

02 Is a reservation needed to meet the princesses during the event?

No, the meet and greets included in your ticket can’t be booked. However, the themed meals and the Mon Rêve Royal makeover need a reservation in advance.

03 Does a season like Halloween or Christmas require a special ticket or an extra fee?

No. The seasons and their entertainment (decorations, parades, shows, meet and greets) are included in a regular park ticket, with no extra paid evening. Two dates are the exception: October 31 and December 31. On those days, you need a dated ticket for that day, among the priciest of the year. The only add-ons left are the usual services, like Premier Access (paid skip-the-line access) or the premium viewing area for the parade. That said, tickets often cost more during high-demand periods like Halloween, Christmas, and French school vacation.
