World Princess Week (its official name, sometimes also called the princess festival) is an annual event at Disneyland Park. It’s usually held in summer over one week (expected in August 2027, dates still to be confirmed by Disneyland Paris). During the week, the Disney Princesses are celebrated all over the park, and some editions bring rarer appearances. The meet and greets and entertainment are included in your park ticket.

Here, I’m talking about the special event. To meet the princesses the rest of the year, see my guide to meeting the princesses at Disneyland Paris.

What is World Princess Week?

It’s an annual event that celebrates the Disney Princesses. Launched in 2021, it takes place at the same time in several Disney parks around the world. At Disneyland Paris, it all happens in Disneyland Park.

Don’t confuse it with the princess meet and greet that runs all year round. World Princess Week is a short period with a bigger programme: more meet and greets, dedicated entertainment, and themed merchandise and menus. Outside this week, you can still meet princesses, but without the special programme.

When is World Princess Week?

World Princess Week is usually held in summer, over one week. The 2027 edition is expected in August, but the exact week hasn’t been confirmed by Disneyland Paris yet.

The dates change every year. Before booking your holiday or your ticket around this event, always check the exact dates for the year you’re interested in.

The programme for the next edition

The detailed programme changes every year, and Disney usually only reveals it a few weeks before the event. As soon as it’s announced for the next edition, I’ll cover it in detail here. In the meantime, past editions (2024, 2025 and 2026) give you a good idea of what to expect.

There’s also something new for princess fans at Disney Adventure World, even though it isn’t limited to World Princess Week: the Princess Cavalcade. To get a good view, check out my best spots for the cavalcade.

What can you do there?

The programme varies from one edition to the next. Here’s what you’ll often find:

  • More meet and greets: more princesses than usual, spread across several areas of the park.
  • A musical moment or a parade, depending on the edition: a themed parade with several princesses, exclusive to the event.
  • Themed photos: PhotoPass Magic Shots in the event’s colours.
  • Dedicated treats and menus: special dishes and drinks in some of the resort’s restaurants and bars.
  • Sometimes rare appearances: some editions feature princesses you won’t see the rest of the year.

Which princesses can you meet?

During the event, some editions bring rarer appearances, and the line-up in the spotlight changes every year.

I won’t repeat the list here. To get to know them all, see the list of Disney Princesses. And to find out where and how to meet them the rest of the year, see my guide to meeting the princesses at Disneyland Paris.

Does it cost extra?

The meet and greets and entertainment are included in your park ticket for Disneyland Park. There’s no extra charge to enjoy them.

A few activities cost extra and need booking: the Mon Rêve Royal makeover (a prince or princess transformation, in a boutique) and the themed menus or meals at some restaurants. You don’t have to book them to enjoy the event.

Frequently asked questions

01 When is World Princess Week and is it included in the ticket?

It usually runs over one week in summer, at Disneyland Park (next edition expected in August 2027, dates to be confirmed). The meet and greets and entertainment are included in the ticket. Only the Mon Rêve Royal makeover and the themed meals cost extra, by reservation. The dates change every year.

02 Do you need to book to meet the princesses during the event?

No, the meet and greets included in the ticket can’t be booked. However, the themed meals and the Mon Rêve Royal makeover need to be booked in advance.

03 Do you need a special ticket or pay extra to enjoy a season (Halloween, Christmas)?

No. The seasons and their entertainment (decorations, parades, shows, meet and greets) are included in the standard admission ticket, with no extra paid evening event. Two dates are the exception: 31 October and 31 December. On those days, you need a dated ticket for that day, among the most expensive of the year. Only the usual services remain optional, like Premier Access (a paid fast track) or the premium viewing area for the parade. That said, tickets are often more expensive during high-demand periods like Halloween, Christmas and the French school holidays.
