Which are the cheapest hotels at Disneyland Paris?

At Disneyland Paris, I split places to stay into three families, from cheapest to most expensive: off-site hotels, partner hotels and Disney hotels. Here are the cheapest in each category. For the details of each type (tickets included or not, shuttle bus, Extra Magic Time), have a look at my guide to planning your trip.

The cheapest Disney hotels

Among the Disney hotels, Disney Hotel Santa Fe is the most affordable: 2 stars, themed on Cars, a 20-minute walk from the parks or a free shuttle bus ride away. Next comes Disney Hotel Cheyenne, 3 stars, with a Wild West feel and a free shuttle too. Davy Crockett Ranch also has low prices in its cabins, but it’s out of the way: only book it if you have a car and don’t mind driving back and forth. You can book the Santa Fe or the Cheyenne on the official website.

Partner hotels

Partner hotels are close by, served by a shuttle bus and often cheaper than the Disney hotels. The most affordable: Explorers Hotel, Campanile Val de France and B&B Hôtel. You book the hotel and your tickets together, but you don’t get Extra Magic Time.

Off-site hotels

Finally, off-site hotels that aren’t partners, such as Dream Castle Hotel, Grand Magic Hotel or Eklo Marne-la-Vallée, are often the cheapest of all. Be aware, though: tickets are not included (you buy them separately), and you lose the perks of the Disney hotels.

Disney hotel or cheaper hotel: which to choose

Paying less comes at a price: comfort and perks. Here, honestly, is what you gain and what you lose by choosing a cheaper hotel over a Disney hotel.

My advice for a first visit

How to pay less for your hotel

Whatever the hotel, a few habits bring the bill down: book as early as possible, avoid French school holidays and weekends, keep an eye on the latest offers and deals and consider paying in instalments. You can compare the latest holiday offers on the official website. Put together, these can really lighten the cost of a trip. You can even let me do it for you: my holiday price alert lets you know as soon as a holiday drops below the budget you set.

Frequently asked questions

01 What’s the cheapest hotel at Disneyland Paris?

Off-site hotels are usually the cheapest, but tickets aren’t included. Among the Disney hotels, the most affordable is Hotel Santa Fe. For a first visit, I’d recommend the Santa Fe or the Cheyenne instead, a little more expensive but with the full Disney experience.

02 Can I go to Disneyland Paris without staying at a Disney hotel?

Yes. Partner hotels and off-site hotels are often cheaper. You simply don’t get Extra Magic Time and, for off-site hotels, tickets have to be bought separately.

03 Partner hotel or Disney hotel for a first visit?

For a first visit, I recommend an affordable Disney hotel such as the Santa Fe or the Cheyenne: the shuttle bus, the short distance and Extra Magic Time make the experience much smoother. Keep partner hotels or off-site hotels for a future stay.
