Want to know which ride is the fastest, which is the tallest or which lasts the longest? Here are the Disneyland Paris ride statistics, checked and ranked by category.

The quick answer: the fastest is Avengers Assemble: Flight Force at 92 km/h (57 mph), the tallest is The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (55 m) and the longest is the loop of the park on the Disneyland Railroad (around twenty minutes), ahead of the Thunder Mesa Riverboat cruise (~15 minutes) and Pirates of the Caribbean (just over 10 minutes).

A quick word on method before getting started. I keep thrill rides and buildings separate. Sleeping Beauty Castle rises to about 45 m, making it the tallest landmark in Disneyland Park, but it isn’t a ride. I also put the Tower of Terror in its own category, apart from the rollercoasters: it’s a drop tower, not a coaster.

Finally, I use the new official names (Disney Adventure World, formerly Walt Disney Studios, and Hyperspace Mountain, formerly Space Mountain).

92 km/h (57 mph) Fastest (Avengers Flight Force)
55 metres Tallest (Tower of Terror)
1,205 metres Longest track (Big Thunder Mountain)
about 20 mins Longest ride time (Disneyland Railroad)

The fastest rides

The fastest ride at Disneyland Paris is Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, which reaches 92 km/h (57 mph). Next comes Hyperspace Mountain at 71 km/h (44 mph), the fastest rollercoaster in the original park, followed by RC Racer at about 68 km/h (42 mph) and Big Thunder Mountain at 65 km/h (40 mph).

The Tower of Terror also makes this ranking: its controlled drop reaches about 49 km/h (30 mph), with acceleration stronger than gravity. That’s slower than the top coasters, but the feeling is very different because you’re falling straight down.

The tallest rides

The tallest ride at Disneyland Paris is The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, at 55 m. Its main structure stands about 55 m high. The actual drop is shorter (around 38 m), and the rest is the visible part of the tower. Behind it come Hyperspace Mountain (32 m) and Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop (27 m).

Watch out for a common mix-up. Sleeping Beauty Castle rises to about 45 m: it’s the tallest building in the park, but it isn’t a thrill ride. So the tallest ride really is the Tower of Terror.

The longest rides: ride time and track length

The longest attraction in terms of time is the full tour of the park on the Disneyland Railroad (around twenty minutes), ahead of the Thunder Mesa Riverboat cruise (around 15 minutes).

Among the big dark rides, Pirates of the Caribbean is the longest, at just over 10 minutes. Close behind, it’s a small world lasts around 9 minutes. These are story-led rides, not thrill rides: you take your time.

For track length, Big Thunder Mountain leads with 1,205 m of track: it’s actually the longest version of Big Thunder in the world. Next come Hyperspace Mountain (1,000 m) and Flight Force (996 m).

And for a really relaxed outing, the Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing cruise takes around 15 minutes, while Alice’s Curious Labyrinth takes 15 to 30 minutes depending on your pace.

Which ride is the most intense?

On paper, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is the most intense ride in the park: it’s the tallest (55 m), and its controlled drop, faster than free fall, feels like nothing else. It’s the one I name when readers ask me which ride is the scariest.

Two others compete for the title, depending on what gets to you. Phantom Manor relies on atmosphere and unease rather than speed, while Hyperspace Mountain is the most intense of the rollercoasters, with its 3 loops in the dark at 71 km/h (44 mph).

A useful reminder: the numbers don’t tell the whole story. A coaster launched at 71 km/h in the dark often feels stronger than a 92 km/h ride in broad daylight.

How many rides are there at Disneyland Paris?

Together, both parks have around fifty attractions, split between Disneyland Park (the original park, opened in 1992) and Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios, transformed in stages and reopened under its new name on 29 March 2026).

For inversions, Hyperspace Mountain and Avengers Assemble: Flight Force each pack in 3 (the resort record), and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril has 1.

The oldest and the newest

The oldest rides date back to the park’s opening in 1992: Big Thunder Mountain, Phantom Manor, Pirates of the Caribbean and Peter Pan’s Flight have all been running since day one. Among the rollercoasters, Big Thunder Mountain is the oldest still in operation. My dad was a Cast Member at that opening, so these rides hold a special place for me.

At the other end of the scale, the newest rides are in Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios), transformed in stages and reopened under its new name on 29 March 2026. There you’ll find Frozen Ever After and Raiponce Tangled Spin, in brand new areas, alongside Cars Quatre Roues Rallye (there since 2007), now part of this new area.

Which ride suits you best?

These records say nothing about access conditions: some of these rides have a minimum height. To plan your family visit, see the minimum height for each ride.
