The complete list of Disney princes

There’s no official "Disney Princes" line. Still, here are the Disney princes linked to the princess movies, with the movie and year each one first appeared.

Unlike the princesses, Disney princes don’t have an official line of their own. They’re grouped together through their connection to the heroine of their movie. Below you’ll find the complete list, how it’s put together, and where you might spot them at Disneyland Paris.

Below are the princes who get named most, listed by when they made their big-screen debut. Curious about the heroines instead? Check out the Disney princesses.

Is there a Disney Princes franchise?

No. Disney has created only one official line of this kind: Disney Princesses, which groups and promotes its heroines. There’s nothing equivalent for the male characters.

The princes are recognized only because they’re tied to the movie of a princess in the line. That’s why people talk about "Disney princes" without any fixed official list.

The list of Disney princes

Ten princes come up most often, each paired with a princess movie. Here they are in the order they appeared on screen (a few names, like Florian or Henry, Cinderella’s "Prince Charming," mostly caught on after the movies came out).

How are Disney princes chosen?

Disney has no formal selection process. A prince never gets an official "induction" the way a princess does. He’s recognized just because he appears in the movie of a princess from the line.

As a result, lists vary slightly depending on where you look, and some names (Prince Adam, for instance) caught on mostly outside the film. The actual rule is easy: a man gets a spot if he’s paired with a princess from the Disney Princesses line.

So Li Shang, who wins Mulan’s heart, is included, and Kristoff is not. Elsa and Anna may be royals, but they come under Frozen, a franchise of its own.

Can you meet the princes at Disneyland Paris?

Yes, but far less often than the princesses. The princes don’t have a permanent meet and greet spot at Disneyland Paris, and whether they appear depends on the schedule and on certain events. To find out if one of them will be there on the day you visit, your best bet is to check the day’s program in the Disneyland Paris app.
