Christmas 2026 at Disneyland Paris: dates set, program taking shape

The Disneyland Paris Christmas season runs from early November to early January. For 2026, the dates and the program are official. Here I sum up what’s new and what comes back every year, and I update this page whenever something new is announced. Why visit at Christmas, who it suits, and which ticket to get: see my main Christmas guide.

Christmas 2026 dates

The 2026 Christmas season runs from November 7 to January 6. Disney locked in these dates very early, well before the detailed program. Throughout the season, the park opens every single day, including December 24, 25, and 31 as well as January 1. No closures are planned.

The calendar barely moves from year to year: the season kicks off on a Saturday in early November and wraps up on January 6. For reference, the 2024 edition ran from November 9 to January 6, 2025, and the 2025 edition from November 8 to January 6, 2026. The same pattern holds for 2026.

The evening of December 31 is handled differently, with a later closing time and its own setup. I sum up the key points right below.

What’s already confirmed for 2026

Here’s the upside: Disney has already shared this edition’s main additions, which means I’m able to give you much more than a pair of dates.

Below is the official 2026 lineup. Anything new this year carries a [New] tag. Showtimes haven’t been released yet, and I’ll add them here the moment Disney posts them.

  • [New] A first Christmas in World of Frozen Over at Disney Adventure World, Arendelle gets decked out in decor with a Scandinavian feel, and Kristoff joins Anna, Elsa, and Olaf there for the first time.
  • [New] The Arendelle Christmas Choir Olaf leads a choir in a roughly 15-minute singalong as snow falls, and Anna and Elsa come to join in. It runs several times daily.
  • [New] "Unleash the Christmas Spirit with Anna and Elsa" Held on Arendelle Bay and lasting around 7 minutes, this celebration is scheduled several times daily.
  • [New] Meeting Kristoff For the very first time, out for a stroll in the streets of Arendelle, alongside Oaken and Mossie.
  • [New] Minnie and Mrs. Claus at Le Théâtre du Château At Disneyland Park, a brand-new musical celebration near Sleeping Beauty Castle. Starting November 14.
  • [New] Santa Claus’s new workshop Santa Claus now welcomes you in his workshop, inside the Disney Clothiers store on Main Street U.S.A. He’s there from November 14, usually until December 25.
  • The Christmas parade, twice a day "Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade!" rolls through in a daytime version and then a nighttime version. Details in my Christmas parade guide.
  • The giant tree and the Main Street decorations A 24-meter tree stands tall on Main Street U.S.A., surrounded by light-up decorations. Details in my Christmas decorations guide.
  • The show "Chantons Noël" At Videopolis Theater, with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Clarabelle Cow.
  • Characters in Christmas outfits Mickey and his friends, the princesses, Stitch, and Goofy, among others, show up in seasonal costumes.
  • Snow on Main Street Artificial snow falls on Main Street U.S.A. several times a day.
  • The L’Hiver Gourmand chalets Both parks get wooden chalets selling seasonal food.
  • Christmas decorations in Disney Village Starting in November, Disney Village brings back its Christmas decor, with new trees and photo spots. Giant snowflakes featuring characters (from Mickey to Jack-Jack, Tinker Bell, and Star Wars emblems) join them, with support from Coca-Cola.
  • Seasonal treats and menus Snacks, treats, and Christmas menus at the restaurants and stores.

New or classic, I find that on site the Christmas mood really kicks in toward the end of the day, when the tree lights up and the nighttime parade goes by. That’s the moment the park fully slips into the season.

What to expect, based on past editions

Beyond the core lineup that returns every year, each edition brings its own additions, and those change from one year to the next. The items below are dated markers from recent seasons. They’re only guaranteed to come back if they appear in the 2026 program listed above.

Here’s what was new in 2025. The show "Disney Princesses Celebrate the Holidays" brought together eight princesses starting November 15. A choir sang live during the tree lighting. The building fronts on Main Street U.S.A. became part of the nighttime show Disney Tales of Magic. Belle greeted guests in her Christmas outfit in Fantasyland. And Mrs. Claus made her first appearance, with a happening and a selfie spot (every 45 minutes). She’s back in 2026 alongside Minnie, at Le Théâtre du Château.

Some earlier editions also had things that haven’t come back since. In 2024, for example, you could catch a Christmas version of the Disney Electrical Sky Parade (a drone show) and a show exclusive to the Disneyland Hotel, both missing from the 2025 lineup. It shows nicely that nothing is a given from one year to the next.

Also worth knowing: since March 2026, the second park has been called Disney Adventure World. For the first time, the Christmas season reaches it too, with World of Frozen (see above). For the exclusives and the hotel box, see my guide to hotel Christmas deals and exclusives.

When is the full program announced?

Disney confirms the Christmas season dates far ahead of time: for 2026, they’re already out. The detailed program (showtimes, the list of new additions, meet and greet locations and time slots), on the other hand, comes out later in the year.

In recent years, that announcement has landed around late summer or early fall. The 2025 program, for example, was revealed in September. The 2026 one came out on September 8.

Exact showtimes usually follow later: I add them here as soon as they’re published.

When should you go during the Christmas season?

Crowd levels vary a lot within the season. The quietest stretches are weekdays in late November and early January, once kids are back at school. Generally speaking, weekdays are calmer than weekends.

On the flip side, the French school Christmas break is very busy, and December 31 ranks among the most crowded days of the entire year. If you want to avoid the crowds, I suggest aiming for a weekday outside French school vacation.

If you want a full plan for beating the crowds, with every day broken down, my crowd guide has it all. And my seasons calendar shows where Christmas fits among the rest of the year’s seasons.

Frequently asked questions

01 When is the detailed Christmas program announced?

The dates are confirmed very early, but the detailed program (showtimes, new additions) comes out later, usually around the end of summer or the start of fall. The 2026 program was unveiled in September. The exact announcement date has to be confirmed each year, and I update this page as soon as it’s official.

02 What’s already confirmed for Christmas 2026?

The 2026 program has been official since September: the dates, the extended hours on December 31, the new additions covered above, and the classics, like the parade twice a day, the big tree, and Santa Claus.

03 What’s the best time to enjoy the season while avoiding crowds?

Your best bet is early in the season, on a weekday, outside French school vacation. The first two weeks are usually fairly quiet. The busiest days are October 31 for Halloween, and the stretch between Christmas and New Year’s for Christmas. The day-by-day breakdown is in my crowd guide.

04 How long does Santa Claus stay at Disneyland Paris?

Santa Claus is around during the Christmas season. You can spot him in the parade throughout the season. For a photo, you meet him in his workshop inside the Disney Clothiers store (Main Street U.S.A.), through December 25. After that, he heads back to the North Pole.

05 What time are the New Year’s fireworks, and where should you watch them?

At midnight, a special New Year’s fireworks display lights up the sky over Sleeping Beauty Castle. Central Plaza and Main Street U.S.A. both give you an excellent view. Show up well ahead of time to grab a spot, because those areas get packed quickly and December 31 draws huge crowds. Disney Adventure World also puts on a midnight show combining drones (if the weather allows) and pyrotechnics, over World of Frozen.

06 Does it actually snow on Main Street during the Christmas season?

Yes, artificial snow falls several times a day on Main Street U.S.A., over the rooftops and the storefronts. It’s a recurring feature, but confirm it each year with the detailed program.

07 What are this year’s Christmas season dates at Disneyland Paris?

The Christmas season runs from November 7 to January 6 across both parks, though Disneyland Park gets most of the decorations. Expect Christmas trees, lights, and artificial snow everywhere, along with a holiday parade and lots of characters to meet in festive outfits. It ranks among the most loved, and most crowded, times of the year.
