Disneyland Paris Christmas 2026: dates and programme confirmed

The Disneyland Paris Christmas season runs from early November to early January. For 2026, the dates and programme are official. Here I round up what’s new and what comes back every year. I update this page with every new announcement. Why visit at Christmas, who it suits and which ticket to choose: see my main Christmas guide.

Christmas 2026 dates

The 2026 Christmas season runs from 7 November to 6 January. Disney confirmed these dates very early, well before the detailed programme. Throughout the season, the park stays open every day, including 24, 25 and 31 December as well as 1 January. No closures are planned.

The calendar stays steady from one year to the next: the season starts on a Saturday in early November and ends on 6 January. For reference, the 2024 edition ran from 9 November to 6 January 2025, and the 2025 edition from 8 November to 6 January 2026. The same pattern applies for 2026.

The evening of 31 December is handled separately, with a later closing time and its own arrangements. I sum up the key points just below.

What’s already confirmed for 2026

Good news: Disney has revealed the big new additions for this edition. So I can tell you a lot more than just the dates.

Here’s the confirmed programme for 2026, with this year’s new additions marked [New]. Exact show times will be announced later. I’ll add them to this page as soon as they’re out.

  • [New] A first Christmas in World of Frozen At Disney Adventure World, the village of Arendelle is decked out in Scandinavian-style decorations, with Anna, Elsa, Olaf and Kristoff (for the first time).
  • [New] The Arendelle Christmas Choir A musical moment of about 15 minutes led by Olaf and a choir, joined by Anna and Elsa, in the snow. Several times a day.
  • [New] A Christmas celebration with Anna and Elsa A celebration of about 7 minutes on Arendelle Bay, several times a day.
  • [New] Meet Kristoff For the very first time, strolling through the streets of Arendelle, alongside Oaken and Mossie.
  • [New] Minnie and Mrs. Claus at Le Théâtre du Château At Disneyland Park, a brand-new musical celebration near Sleeping Beauty Castle. From 14 November.
  • [New] The new Santa Claus workshop Santa Claus now welcomes you in his workshop, inside the Disney Clothiers shop on Main Street U.S.A. He’s there from 14 November, usually until 25 December.
  • The Christmas parade, twice a day "Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade!" runs in a daytime version and then a night-time version. Details in my Christmas parade guide.
  • The giant tree and the Main Street decorations A 24-metre tree stands on Main Street U.S.A., surrounded by light-up decorations. Details in my Christmas decorations guide.
  • The "Chantons Noël" show At Videopolis Theatre, with Mickey and Minnie, Donald and Daisy, Goofy and Clarabelle Cow.
  • Characters in Christmas outfits Mickey and friends, the princesses, Stitch and Goofy appear in seasonal costumes.
  • Snow on Main Street Artificial snow falls several times a day on Main Street U.S.A.
  • The L’Hiver Gourmand chalets Seasonal food chalets are set up in both parks.
  • Christmas decorations at Disney Village From November, Disney Village gets its Christmas decorations back, with new trees and photo spots. Giant snowflakes featuring characters (from Mickey to Jack-Jack, Tinker Bell and Star Wars emblems) are added, with support from Coca-Cola.
  • Seasonal products and menus Christmas snacks, treats and menus in the restaurants and shops.

New or classic, when I’m there I find the Christmas atmosphere really comes through at the end of the day, when the tree lights up and the night-time parade goes by: that’s when the park truly switches into the season.

What to expect, based on previous editions

Beyond the recurring core, each edition adds its own new features, and these change from one year to the next. The items below are dated examples from recent seasons: they only come back if they appear in the 2026 programme shown above.

Here’s what was new in the 2025 edition. A Disney Princesses festive show brought together eight princesses from 15 November. A choir sang live during the tree lighting. The facades of Main Street U.S.A. were part of the night-time show Disney Tales of Magic. Belle welcomed visitors in her Christmas outfit in Fantasyland. Finally, Mrs. Claus made her first appearance, with a live appearance and a selfie spot (every 45 minutes). She’s back in 2026 alongside Minnie, at Le Théâtre du Château.

Some previous editions also had elements that haven’t been brought back since. In 2024, for example, you could see the Christmas version of the Disney Electrical Sky Parade (a drone show) and an exclusive show at the Disneyland Hotel, both missing from the 2025 line-up. It’s a good illustration that nothing is guaranteed from one year to the next.

Also worth knowing: since March 2026, the second park has been called Disney Adventure World. For the first time, the Christmas season extends there too, with the World of Frozen (see above). For the hotel exclusives and gift box, see the guide to Christmas hotel offers and exclusives.

When is the full programme revealed?

Disney confirms the Christmas season dates well in advance: for 2026, they’re already known. The detailed programme, on the other hand (show times, list of new additions, meet and greet locations and times), is published later in the year.

In recent years, this announcement has come around late summer or early autumn. The 2025 programme, for example, was revealed in September. The 2026 one came out on 8 September.

Exact show times usually arrive later: I add them here as soon as they’re published.

When to visit during the Christmas season

Crowds vary a lot within the season. The quietest times are weekdays in late November and early January once French schools are back. As a rule, weekdays are calmer than weekends.

On the other hand, the French Christmas school holidays are very busy, and 31 December is one of the busiest days of the whole year. If you want to avoid the crowds, I’d recommend aiming for a weekday outside the French school holidays.

For the full crowd strategy and a day-by-day breakdown, see my crowds guide. To see how Christmas compares with the other seasons of the year, see my seasons calendar.

Planning your Christmas 2026 visit

This page follows the programme of the current edition. To plan your trip in practical terms (why visit, who it suits, which ticket, weather and practical tips), the place to start is still my main Christmas guide. To choose where to stay during the season, see the hotels hub. And to compare with past seasons, have a look at the past editions.

Frequently asked questions

01 When is the detailed Christmas programme announced?

The dates are confirmed very early, but the detailed programme (show times, new features) comes out later, usually around late summer or early autumn. The 2026 programme was unveiled in September. The exact date has to be confirmed each year, and I update this page as soon as it’s officially announced.

02 What’s already confirmed for Christmas 2026 at Disneyland Paris?

The 2026 programme has been official since September: the dates, the extended opening hours on 31 December, the new features described above and the big classics, like the parade twice a day, the giant tree and Santa Claus.

03 When should you go to enjoy the season without the crowds?

Your best bet is to come early in the season, on a weekday, outside French school holidays: the first two weeks are usually fairly quiet. The busiest days are 31 October for Halloween and the period between Christmas and New Year for Christmas. The day-by-day breakdown is in my crowd guide.

04 Until when can you meet Santa Claus at Disneyland Paris?

Santa Claus is there during the Christmas season. You’ll spot him in the parade throughout the season. For a photo, you can meet him in his workshop in the Disney Clothiers shop (Main Street U.S.A.), up to and including 25 December. After that, he heads back to the North Pole.

05 What time are the New Year’s Eve fireworks and where can you watch them?

The special New Year fireworks go off at midnight above Sleeping Beauty Castle. You get a very good view from Central Plaza or Main Street U.S.A. Get there early to claim your spot, as these areas fill up fast and crowds are heavy on 31 December. At Disney Adventure World, a drone show (weather permitting) with pyrotechnics also takes place at midnight, above the World of Frozen.

06 Is there really snow on Main Street at Christmas?

Yes, artificial snow falls several times a day on Main Street U.S.A., over the roofs and shopfronts. It’s a regular feature, but check it each year against the detailed programme.

07 What are the dates of this year’s Christmas season at Disneyland Paris?

The Christmas season runs from 7 November to 6 January, in both parks, with most of the decorations in Disneyland Park. The park is dressed with Christmas trees, lights and artificial snow, with a dedicated parade and plenty of character meet and greets in festive outfits. It’s one of the most popular and busiest times of the year.
