Starbucks Coffee: the café inside Disney Hotel Santa Fe

Disney Hotel Santa Fe has its own Starbucks store, a lounge that opens onto the main building, just steps from the front desk. The menu is the chain’s standard lineup: hot and cold drinks, seasonal creations, cookies, sandwiches, and wraps served all day. Completely redesigned in June 2025, the space now features racetrack decor, a nod to the hotel’s Cars theme.

At a glance

Disney Hotel Santa Fe has its own Starbucks store, in the main building, just behind the front desk area, in the passageway leading to the Rio Grande bar, La Cantina restaurant, and the shop. Disney lists it as quick-service and takeout dining, in the lowest price range on its scale (one symbol out of three). You don’t need a park ticket to go there, and reservations aren’t possible.

The menu is the chain’s own: hot and cold drinks, classics like the Caramel Macchiato, the Refresha, the Frappuccino, and seasonal creations, which Disney says can be customized in 86,000 combinations (plant-based milk, espresso shot, whipped cream). For food, there are sweet treats like cookies and savory snacks: sandwiches, wraps, and the Egg & Bacon Muffin, offered throughout the day. The lounge has armchairs, and the Wi-Fi is free.

One useful detail: according to the data on the official page, this Starbucks is neither owned nor operated by Disney. It’s a licensed store, listed as such in the chain’s store locator. That has real consequences: no Disney meal plan applies here, Disney publishes no menu or allergen sheet, and no official prices are released for this location (only the Starbucks at Disney Village has a menu with prices online).

The space reopened on June 18, 2025, after several months of construction, with decor redesigned around a racetrack theme, a nod to the hotel’s Cars world: references to Lightning McQueen, neon menu boards, and diner-style booths, according to reports in the specialist press. Disney presents these lounges as an addition to the services already available at its hotels, for breakfast as well as breaks during the day.

A full-fledged Starbucks store

This isn’t just a coffee counter set up in a lobby: the location has its own store number in Starbucks’ official store locator, just like a downtown shop. The data on Disney’s official page confirms it in its own way: the location is neither owned nor operated by Disney, unlike La Cantina and the Rio Grande Bar. In practice, the menu is Starbucks’ own, with the drink customization Disney advertises (86,000 possible combinations), and the lounge offers armchairs and free Wi-Fi.

History

The Starbucks at Disney Hotel Santa Fe opened in spring 2017, at the same time as the one at Disney Hotel Cheyenne. Both lounges replaced the hotels’ old arcades, which were small spaces, and that explains their compact size. They arrived just as breakfast stopped being automatically included in hotel + ticket packages: the idea was to offer a quick option before heading to the parks, and a place for a break on the way back. The location then closed on January 17, 2025, for a full renovation, and reopened on June 18, 2025, with its current decor.

My verdict

Julie ★★★★☆

At Disney Hotel Santa Fe, this Starbucks earns its keep mainly in the morning: breakfast here is cheaper than at the hotel’s restaurant, and you’ll wait in a far shorter line than at Disney Village’s Starbucks spots. You can set off for the parks without losing any time.

It’s also my go-to for a mid-afternoon snack. The hotel is nearly empty by then, since everyone is either in the parks or at Disney Village, so you have a peaceful corner to recharge. No need to be a hotel guest to stop by.

Map & getting there

On the ground floor of Disney Hotel Santa Fe’s main building, right behind the front desk area, along the walkway that connects to the Rio Grande bar, La Cantina restaurant, and the shop. Disney’s only indication is that the lounge sits in the central part of the hotel.
