At a glance

Right at the entrance of Disney’s Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, at Disneyland Paris, Bleecker Street Lounge is a lounge bar built around Doctor Strange and his Sanctum Sanctorum. The mood is urban, a lot like a contemporary New York loft.

The decor pairs exposed brick walls, pendant lights, and leather seating areas. The lounge also has a terrace overlooking Lake Disney.

The menu offers signature cocktails (with or without alcohol) inspired by Doctor Strange, classic cocktails, Brooklyn Brewery craft beers, organic wines, and champagnes, plus savory and sweet snacks, salads, bagels, and focaccias served at lunch. Service is at your table. A "mystical experience" brings out a few of the cocktails, such as Kamar-Taj and Runes of Kof-Kol, in an artifact cabinet that you have to "open" like a portal to make your drink appear.

What sets it apart

A Doctor Strange design bar. Inside this hotel styled after New York, the modern lounge is set up like a loft in Greenwich Village. On the menu: inventive craft cocktails, local beers, and brightly colored drinks that take their inspiration from the Marvel superhero. Lighting is low and cozy, and exclusive artworks hang along the shiny brick walls.

History

Bleecker Street Lounge opened on June 21, 2021, replacing the original New York City Bar, which had been there since the hotel opened in 1992.

The new bar was part of the hotel’s complete makeover around The Art of Marvel theme. The space was redesigned as a contemporary New York loft with a simulated view of Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum.

My verdict

Julie ★★★½☆ 200+ visits since 2023

Bleecker Street Lounge is a Marvel-themed lounge bar at Disney’s Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, inspired by Doctor Strange. What it has going for it is the mystical decor and the terrace overlooking Lake Disney.

To be upfront, I haven’t been yet. What I share here comes from my own digging and from what friends and other Disney fans have told me. Since it opened in 2021, the bar has offered signature cocktails and snacks for around €16, plus an interactive experience centered on Doctor Strange. People love the setting, though they mention steep prices for a bar, short opening hours, and a vibe that doesn’t really work for young kids. Think of it mostly as a grown-up break for Marvel fans.

A good pick for a well-made drink among adult Marvel fans. Less suited for families with young kids or for a real meal.

Your questions about this restaurant

01 Where can you find cheap eats in the Disneyland Paris parks?

To keep costs down, stick to the quick-service counters rated €. Casey’s Corner serves hot dogs on Main Street, Café Hyperion offers burgers and nuggets in Discoveryland, Colonel Hathi’s Pizza Outpost has pizza by the slice in Adventureland, and Cowboy Cookout Barbecue in Frontierland is still a good deal. Over at Disney Adventure World, Stark Factory and Super Diner remain affordable. Tip: Mobile Order in the app also lets you order at some counters without waiting in line. And for a little snack, a waffle, churros, or ice cream for €5-10 hits the spot.

02 Do Disney restaurants have kids’ menus?

Yes, nearly every Disneyland Paris restaurant has a child price (ages 3-11). At the all-you-can-eat buffets, kids pay about half price: €25 at Agrabah Café, €25 at Cape Cod, €20 at La Cantina. Classic table-service restaurants also have a kids’ menu with a kid-friendly appetizer, main course, and dessert. At the quick-service counters, you’ll find kids’ menus that include a drink and a dessert. You can ask for a high chair when you book, using the "special request" field.

03 Are there vegetarian and vegan options at Disneyland Paris restaurants?

Yes, a growing number of Disneyland Paris restaurants have vegetarian and vegan choices. In Frontierland, Lucky Nugget Saloon offers an entirely vegan menu, and over in Fantasyland, Toad Hall Restaurant serves breaded plant-based crispy bites that are very good. Most of the other table-service restaurants and buffets list at least one vegetarian dish. Simple buffets such as Agrabah Café or Cape Cod have meatless options too. For the full picture, get my free file by email, which gathers the menus of every Disneyland Paris restaurant: you can check the veggie options ahead of your visit.

04 Where should you go for an afternoon treat or a small bite in the parks?

The parks are packed with kiosks and snack stands for when hunger strikes. On the sweet side, there’s Cookie Kitchen on Main Street U.S.A., March Hare Refreshments in Fantasyland, waffle and churro stands all over, and roaming popcorn and ice cream carts. On the savory side, the hot dogs at Casey’s Corner. Plan on €5-10 per snack. Quick tip: some stands sell reusable collectible popcorn buckets that make fun souvenirs and get you discounted refills all day long.

05 What is the Disneyland Paris half-board meal plan, and who can get it?

The Disneyland Paris half-board meal plan is a prepaid dining package that includes the breakfast buffet at your Disney hotel plus one or more meals at a participating restaurant. It’s only for guests staying at an official Disney hotel: you can’t add it if you’re visiting for the day. There are actually four plans: Standard, Plus, Extra Plus, and Premium, each covering a different set of restaurants at a different price. Extra Plus is in fact a full-board meal plan (two meals a day), not just half board. The main benefit: you set your dining budget ahead of time and enjoy your trip with no surprises when the check arrives. For arrivals from April 1, 2027, Disney is replacing these four plans with Essential, Extra, Signature, and Royal. I break down what’s changing in my guide to the meal plans.
