Yes, you can get married at Disneyland Paris. The Resort offers ceremonies and receptions through its dedicated programme, Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings, run by a team of specialist coordinators. One important point right away: what Disney organises is a symbolic ceremony, not a civil marriage. Your legal union is celebrated at the town hall. Everything else (the setting, the meal, the organisation) is where Disney comes in.
In this article, I explain the packages available, the possible venues, what’s included, the budget to plan for and how to get a quote. If you haven’t got that far yet, the marriage proposal has its own article. And to plan your trip as a couple more broadly, I have a dedicated guide, which is part of my method for planning your day.
Can you really get married at Disneyland Paris?
Yes. Disneyland Paris has been hosting weddings for years through the Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings programme. The programme actually covers three big moments in a couple’s life: the wedding (Wedding Collections), the engagement (Engagement Collections) and the vow renewal (Happily Ever After Collections).
In practice, a team of Disney coordinators takes care of organising the whole event, from the ceremony to the reception. It’s a tailor-made service, designed for fairly intimate ceremonies rather than very large weddings.
Civil marriage or symbolic ceremony: what’s the difference?
The ceremony Disney offers is symbolic (or secular) and isn’t legally binding. In France, only a civil registrar (the mayor or a deputy mayor) can perform a civil marriage, and it must take place at the town hall. Disney can’t replace that.
In practice, most couples first marry legally at the town hall, then have their symbolic ceremony at Disneyland Paris. For couples coming from abroad, the offer is often presented as a vow renewal, after a legal wedding in their own country.
Which wedding packages are available?
Disney offers several wedding collections, which differ mainly in how much you can personalise and which venues you can use. The two most often mentioned are the Romantic Wedding Collection, an elegant and more structured package, and the Royal Wedding Collection, fully tailor-made, with access to exclusive venues and extensive personalisation.
Disney also presents its offer by venue (collections linked to the park or the hotels), which will help you find your way around the official website. The exact scope of each collection changes over time, and Disney doesn’t publish a detailed price list online. The table below gives the broad outline, to be confirmed when you get in touch.
| Criterion | Romantic Wedding Collection | Royal Wedding Collection |
|---|---|---|
| Approach | All-inclusive, elegant package | Tailor-made, fully personalised |
| Venues | Resort venues, subject to availability | Access to more exclusive venues (including the castle) |
| Rough budget | Several tens of thousands of euros, on a quote basis | On a quote basis, usually higher |
| Who it’s for | Couples who want a polished setting without deciding everything | Couples who want to control every detail |
Where do the ceremony and reception take place?
Several venues are possible, and that’s one of Disneyland Paris’s big strengths. The most striking: the ceremony in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, outside the park’s public opening hours. To date, Disneyland Paris is one of the few Disney parks to offer a ceremony in front of the castle. You can even arrive by horse-drawn carriage, escorted by guards.
Besides that, several Resort hotels host ceremonies and receptions, mostly during the day. Here are the main venues.
| Venue | Setting | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| In front of the castle | Park setting, outside public opening hours | Arrival by carriage possible, the most sought-after venue |
| Auberge de Cendrillon courtyard | Inner courtyard with a view of the castle | Intimate setting, storybook atmosphere |
| Disneyland Hotel | Elegant function rooms, Victorian atmosphere | Suited to large receptions |
| Disney Newport Bay Club | Lakeside, seaside style | Daytime ceremonies and receptions |
| Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel | Contemporary setting | Daytime ceremonies and receptions |
| Thunder Mesa Riverboat | Private cruise on the paddle steamer | Unusual setting on the water, limited capacity |
For the reception, the Resort’s chefs create gala dinners or drinks receptions, with themed decoration to suit your wishes. If you want to extend your stay, the Disneyland Hotel is also home to restaurants such as La Table de Lumière, and the park has other polished options such as Walt’s.
What’s included in a Disney wedding?
The standard packages cover the core of the organisation: a dedicated coordinator, the ceremony, the catered reception, themed decoration and a professional photographer. This core accounts for a large part of the budget. Beyond that, many services are optional and let you personalise the event.
Included in the package
- A dedicated Disney coordinator, who handles your booking from start to finish
- The symbolic ceremony and the reception
- High-end catering created by the Resort’s chefs
- Themed decoration
- A professional photographer
Optional extras
- Disney characters (Mickey, Minnie and others) at the event
- Arrival in a private horse-drawn carriage with guards
- Musicians, private entertainment, shows
- Bespoke florist, beauty services, audiovisual equipment
How much does a wedding at Disneyland Paris cost?
Let’s be clear: it’s a big budget, and there’s no public price list. Everything goes through a personalised quote. Expect several tens of thousands of euros: a basic package with around twenty guests is the most affordable option, while the most prestigious venues, such as a castle ceremony, are among the most expensive.
These figures are rough guides, to be confirmed when you get in touch. The final amount depends on the venue, the number of guests, the menu, the options you choose and the date. So expect several tens of thousands of euros, entirely on a quote basis.
How far in advance should you book?
I recommend starting 12 to 18 months in advance, especially for popular dates such as summer weekends. The more specific your plans (a castle venue, characters, a large reception), the earlier you need to plan, because these slots and services go quickly. Getting your request in early also gives you time to fine-tune the budget and compare packages without pressure.

Frequently asked questions
01 Can you really get married at Disneyland Paris?
Yes. The Resort hosts ceremonies and receptions through its Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings programme, with a team of dedicated coordinators. The event runs from the ceremony to the reception, in a setting fully handled by Disney.
02 Is a Disneyland Paris wedding a legal civil marriage?
No. The ceremony offered by Disney is symbolic and has no legal value. In France, a civil marriage can only be performed by a registrar, at the town hall. Most couples therefore get married at the town hall first, then have their symbolic ceremony at Disneyland Paris.
03 How much does a wedding at Disneyland Paris cost?
Expect tens of thousands of euros. A basic package with around twenty guests is the most affordable option, while the most prestigious venues, such as the castle, are among the most expensive. Disney doesn’t publish a price list: everything goes through a personalised quote based on the venue, the number of guests and the options.
04 Can you get married in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle?
Yes, it’s possible, at the foot of the castle, outside the park’s public opening hours. Disneyland Paris is one of the few Disney parks to offer it. An arrival by horse-drawn carriage escorted by guards can even be arranged as an option.
05 Can Disney characters be at the wedding?
Yes, but as an option, not automatically. Mickey, Minnie and other characters can appear during the event. Their presence has to be booked in advance, so mention it as soon as you ask for a quote if it matters to you.
06 How far in advance should you book your stay or tickets?
As early as possible. Disneyland Paris prices are dynamic: the earlier you book, the less you pay. For dated tickets, aim for at least 3 months ahead, and 6 to 9 months for a Disney hotel on very popular dates (French school holidays, French bank holidays in May, Halloween, Christmas). Booking calendars often open even further ahead, so as soon as your dates are certain, book. For table service restaurants, you can book up to 2 months ahead in the official app if you’re visiting for the day, and up to 1 year ahead if you’re staying in a Disney hotel.
