At a glance

World Premiere Plaza is the entrance land and central hub of Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park) at Disneyland Paris.

The land is made up of two parts. The first, World Premiere, fills the former Disney Studio 1 building, redecorated to welcome visitors to the Hollywood premiere of a blockbuster, under a starry sky. The facade facing the Front Lot is inspired by the famous Animation Building at Disney’s Burbank studios. Most visitors leave through the Disney Theater. Inside, you’ll find The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant (in place of the former En Coulisses), The Searchlight Kiosk and the Mickey’s of Hollywood Boutique shop.

The second part is World Premiere Plaza proper, which takes in the Studio Theater and the Animagique Theater. This theatre district has an Art Deco look and recalls London’s West End and New York’s Broadway. Giant posters inspired by Broadway artwork decorate the facades to announce the shows, and the night-time lighting and set design have been given special care. The square is paved and planted with trees and flower beds, with plenty of benches.

The land has one iconic ride, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror - Hollywood Tower Hotel, as well as Les Tapis Volants - Flying Carpets Over Agrabah, a family ride inspired by Aladdin. Several shows and experiences fill the area: Mickey and the Magician (at the Animagique Theater), TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure (at the Studio Theater), Disney Junior Dream Factory (at Studio D), Frozen: A Musical Invitation (at Animation Celebration), Stitch Live!, Alice and the Queen of Hearts: Return to Wonderland and Animation Academy. You can also meet characters dressed as film stars (Mickey, Minnie and others).

Several decorative pieces from Production Courtyard and Toon Studio have been brought back into the new theme. The Partners statue of Walt Disney and Mickey now faces Adventure Way, symbolising the shift towards the new immersive worlds. The bronze-finish Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey statue stands in the middle of a flower bed, surrounded by smaller sculptures of iconic characters (Donald, Dumbo, Mulan, Tarzan) that used to stand around Animation Celebration. The land acts as a narrative turning point, taking visitors from behind the scenes of film-making into the immersive worlds of Disney films (Marvel Avengers Campus, Worlds of Pixar, World of Frozen).

The land is presented as arriving on Hollywood Boulevard in the 1930s, the golden age of cinema. Visitors are treated as VIP guests arriving for a world premiere (World Premiere) at a big studio, with theatre foyers, spotlights and neon signs.

The common thread is cinema experienced from the inside: each attraction is a film experience (Tower of Terror = an episode of Twilight Zone, Mickey and the Magician = a musical, TOGETHER = a Pixar film concert, Stitch Live! = live interaction).

History

When Walt Disney Studios opened on 16 March 2002, this area was the Front Lot and Disney Studio 1, which at the time let visitors walk through a 1930s Hollywood film set. The area was home in turn to Animagique (2002-2016), CinéMagique (2002-2017), the Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic (2002-2021) and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror from 22 December 2007.

Mickey and the Magician opened on 2 July 2016 at the Animagique Theater. After CinéMagique closed in 2017, the Studio Theater went through a major refurbishment, with a few temporary shows along the way, before TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure opened in summer 2023.

The reimagining of the whole area began in April 2024. World Premiere, in the redecorated former Disney Studio 1 building, opened on 15 May 2025. An Art Deco-style mural (featuring official partner Visa) was painted under the Animagique Theater canopy for the return of Mickey and the Magician on 21 April 2025.

The land was renamed World Premiere Plaza on 29 March 2026 as part of the Disney Adventure World rebrand, bringing together the former Front Lot and Production Courtyard areas. The transformation continued up to the opening of World of Frozen in spring 2026: the old concrete streets of Production Courtyard made way for cobbles, trees and benches, the food kiosks took on an Art Deco feel and new shopping experiences were added.

Where the inspiration comes from

The land is inspired by Hollywood Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando (1989) and Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure (2012), both devoted to the golden age of Hollywood in the 1930s.

Pros and cons

Strong points

  • A central hub linking all the other lands of the park
  • A carefully crafted Art Deco look recalling the theatre districts of Broadway and the West End
  • Better landscaping, with trees and benches replacing the old concrete setting

Weak points

  • Existing buildings reused rather than new rides built
  • A transformation spread over time, only completed in 2026
  • The loss of the original 2002 Disney Studio 1 experience
  • Mostly a place to pass through between other, more themed lands

My verdict

Julie
Julie ★★★½☆ 200+ visits since 2023

Many people see World Premiere Plaza as just a place to pass through, yet it is steeped in history. The Place des Frères Lumière and the World Premiere Theater building are packed with an incredible number of hidden references: I encourage you to take the time to look for them, it’s a real treasure hunt.

And then there’s that moment, as you leave the building, when the whole of Hollywood Boulevard suddenly opens up in front of you: the view is simply spectacular.

I really like the new 2026 rebrand, it finally gives the park entrance the scale it deserved.

Map & getting there

The land is the main entrance to Disney Adventure World. It leads straight to Worlds of Pixar and the rest of the park around the Adventure Bay lake.

Your questions about this land

01 What are the lands of Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park) after the transformation?

Disney Adventure World, which replaces the former Walt Disney Studios Park, is now organised into 6 lands. World Premiere Plaza (2 attractions) is home to Tower of Terror, Les Tapis Volants - Flying Carpets Over Agrabah and the World Premiere hub. Avengers Campus (2 attractions) brings together Avengers Assemble: Flight Force and Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure. Worlds of Pixar (7 attractions) groups Crush’s Coaster, Ratatouille, RC Racer, Cars Quatre Roues Rallye, Cars ROAD TRIP, Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin and Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop. World of Frozen (only one ride for now), which opened on 29 March 2026, is home to Frozen Ever After. Adventure Way (1 attraction) has Raiponce Tangled Spin.

02 What are the top rides at Disney Adventure World?

At Disney Adventure World, I have my favourite rides. Tower of Terror, at 63 metres, is the tallest ride in the whole of Disneyland Paris and guarantees big thrills. Avengers Assemble: Flight Force is still the fastest ride in the resort. Crush’s Coaster is a cult favourite but has the longest queues. Ratatouille is an immersive ride you shouldn’t miss. Frozen Ever After, in the new World of Frozen land that opened on 29 March 2026, is the big new ride you really must try. Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure completes the list of highlights at Avengers Campus.

03 How can you avoid long queues for the most popular rides?

To avoid long queues at Disneyland Paris, I combine several tactics. First, Single Rider is free and really speeds things up on the rides that offer it, including Crush’s Coaster, Flight Force, Ratatouille and Spider-Man, as long as you’re happy not to ride with your group. Next, Disney Premier Access is a paid service that gives you priority access to the headline rides. If you’re staying in a Disney hotel, Extra Magic Time lets you into the park before official opening, and it’s the best time to ride the popular attractions back to back without queuing. Finally, heading to the most popular rides during a parade or a big show empties the queues considerably.
