Want to meet Stitch face to face? Go to his meet and greet spot in Disneyland Park (the one with the castle). You can snap his photo, hug him, and hang out with him for a minute. It’s free, since the meet and greet comes with your park ticket.
Before you set off to find him, one key point: where Stitch appears and at what times shifts a lot through the year. That’s why I won’t name a set location that would soon be out of date.
The smart move is to look him up for that day in the Disneyland Paris mobile app, after your ticket has been scanned at the gate. Nothing tells you more reliably where and when he’ll be.
And keep the meet and greet (an actual photo, an actual hug) separate from two other ways of seeing Stitch: the Stitch Live! show, where he chats with you through a screen, and his cavalcade appearances. I cover all of it further down.
When and where can you meet Stitch?
You’ll meet Stitch in Disneyland Park, but the exact spot moves around depending on the season. Over the years, his meet and greet has popped up in quite a few places, so I’d rather send you to the app than give you an address that won’t last. How it works doesn’t change: you wait a bit at the meet and greet spot, then it’s your turn for a photo and a hug.

Do you need to book to see Stitch?
It depends on how things are set up at the time. Some meet and greets are walk-up, where you wait in line on site, and others require you to book a time slot in the mobile app. This setup has already changed from one year to the next. The habit to have as soon as you arrive: open the app, look up Stitch, and see whether you need to book or can just show up.
Is it free?
Yes, it is. Your park ticket covers the meet and greet, so a hug and a photo snapped on your own phone cost nothing more. Some official photo extras (PhotoPass and its Magic Shots) can carry a fee depending on what you’ve bought, but you’re never required to use them.
What time should you go?
Stitch is hugely popular, especially with kids. Morning slots go quickly and the line can grow during the day. My advice: aim for the start of the day, right at opening, and check his times for the day in the app. If time slot booking is in place, grab one as early as possible, since the number of spots each day is limited.
Stitch Live! or meeting Stitch: what’s the difference?
Nothing trips people up more than this. Stitch shows up in three ways across the parks, but just one counts as an actual meet and greet. Here’s how to sort them out.
| How you see him | Photo and hug? | Where? |
|---|---|---|
| The meet and greet | Yes, a close-up photo and hug | Disneyland Park |
| The Stitch Live! show | No, you interact from a distance through a screen | Disney Adventure World (the second park) |
| Cavalcades and events | No, he passes in front of you | Along the route, Disneyland Park |
Three ways to see Stitch
How can you see Stitch without waiting in line?
If seeing Stitch and enjoying some time with him is enough, and a close-up photo isn’t a must, there are two ways to do it. Both are a blast, but neither is a meet and greet: no hug, no photo of just you and him.
The Stitch Live! show
Stitch Live! is an interactive show where Stitch, animated in real time, appears on a big screen and talks with the audience: he cracks jokes, asks questions, and reacts to people in the room. It’s hilarious, especially for kids, but you’re interacting with him from a distance. There’s no hug and no close-up photo, and in fact photos aren’t allowed during the show.
The show is in the second park, Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park). Depending on the showtime, it’s performed in French or in English. Like any show, it can be closed for maintenance at certain times, so check its hours for the day in the app before you head over.
His look changes with the seasons, too. At Halloween, he greets guests in a vampire costume: check out vampire Stitch. For the holidays, he turns into Stitch as Santa Claus.
Cavalcades and events
Stitch may also appear in cavalcades, the small parades that roll down Main Street U.S.A. It’s a chance to see him waving to the crowd. He can also turn up during certain seasons, including the Christmas season, sometimes in a festive outfit. Here too, seasonal appearances vary from year to year: the app is still your best guide to where and when you can see him.
Stitch Days: seeing Stitch in late June
At the end of June each year, close to June 26 (a wink at Experiment 626), Disneyland Paris sets aside several days for Stitch. That’s your top opportunity to catch him in all his forms: riding in cavalcades, greeting the crowd from the Main Street station balcony morning and night, plus themed entertainment.
You’ll see him a lot, but these are still appearances, with no guaranteed close-up interaction. Since the program changes with each edition, check the day’s details in the app.
Dig deeper
Stitch is just one of many characters you can meet in the parks. To plan your day, check out all the character meet and greets and pick out your favorites ahead of time.
Should his meet and greet call for an app booking at the time of your visit, my virtual queue guide breaks down the process. Prefer to see characters while you eat? Take a look at a character meal (Stitch isn’t guaranteed).
Frequently asked questions
01 Is it really possible to meet Stitch at Disneyland Paris?
Yes. Stitch is among the characters who pose for photos and give hugs. His spot and schedule move around a lot, so once your ticket is scanned, open the Disneyland Paris app to see if he’s out today.
02 Which park has Stitch?
You meet Stitch at Disneyland Park, the one with the castle. The Stitch Live! show, on the other hand, is in the second park, Disney Adventure World.
03 Do you need a reservation to meet Stitch?
It depends on how things are set up at the time: some meet and greets are walk-up, while others require booking a time slot in the app. Check how it works that day in the Disneyland Paris app as soon as you arrive.
04 Stitch Live!: is it a meet and greet with Stitch?
No. Stitch Live! is an interactive show: Stitch talks with the audience through a giant screen. It’s a long-distance conversation, so there’s no hug or close-up photo. If you want to actually meet him, go to his meet and greet spot in Disneyland Park.
