Lost property at Disneyland Paris: what to do to get it back

Lost something during your visit to Disneyland Paris? Here’s exactly what to do about lost property: reporting it on site, the online form, how long items are kept and how to get them back.

Losing something during your visit happens a lot. The process is simple and collecting your item on site is free. Here’s exactly what to do, whether you’re still in the park or already back home.

What should you do if you lose something at Disneyland Paris?

Step 1

Still in the park: tell a cast member. Report the loss where you think you lost the item (ride, restaurant or shop). Staff can start a first search.

Step 2

Still in the park: go to the lost property office. Head to City Hall (Disneyland Park) or right next to Studio Services (the guest services desk by the entrance to the second park). The offices are open during park opening hours.

Step 3

Already left: report the loss online. If you’re back home or nothing turned up on site, report your item on the official Troov platform. You can also use the Disneyland Paris app.

Where are the lost property offices?

There are two lost property offices, open during park opening hours.

In Disneyland Park, the office is at City Hall, on Main Street, just past the entrance. In Disney Adventure World (the second park), it’s next to Studio Services, the guest services desk near the entrance.

To pinpoint these two spots and everything you can sort out there, see my guide to City Hall and Studio Services.

How to report lost property online

Disneyland Paris runs its lost property service through the Troov platform. Every online loss report is made on the Troov site dedicated to the resort. It covers both parks, the Disney hotels and Disney Village.

Reporting is free. You describe the item, the date and roughly where you lost it. The teams then check whether an item matches your description. You can also report the loss from the Disneyland Paris app.

Good to know: Troov doesn’t physically store the items. The platform matches your report with the park’s lost property service, which holds and verifies the items.

To contact the service directly by phone or email, see my guide to contacting Disneyland Paris.

How long does Disneyland Paris keep lost property?

Items are kept for a limited time before being cleared out. Valuables (wallet, bag, phone, camera, bank card) are usually kept longer than small everyday items.

The service doesn’t publish a fixed period and these times can vary. So the safest bet is to report your loss as soon as possible, without waiting.

How to get back an item that’s been found

Once your item has been identified, you’re contacted through your report. You have two options:

Collection on site
it’s free. Show proof of identity or give a precise description at the lost property office.
Sending by post
also possible, but you pay the postage. It varies with the item and the destination.

Getting the item back costs nothing in itself. Only the postage is charged.

On some rides, staff can only check the tracks after the ride has closed, at the end of the day. So an item dropped during a ride may not be found until the evening. No need to worry if nothing turns up straight away.

Lost something on public transport

If you lost something outside the park, you need to contact someone else:

Magical Shuttle
Troov has a page dedicated to the shuttle. The report is made separately, not on the parks’ page.
Train or RER A (Paris suburban train)
contact Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station or use the SNCF lost property form.

Double-check where you think you lost the item before reporting it: the park and the journey aren’t handled by the same service.

Reducing the risk of losing things

  • Label your valuables with your name and phone number.
  • Use the lockers for your fragile belongings during thrill rides.
  • Take photos of your belongings before your visit: handy for describing them if they go missing.
  • Check your pockets and your bag as you leave each ride.

Frequently asked questions

01 How long is lost property kept?

Items are kept for a limited time, with valuables usually held longer than small everyday items. The service doesn’t publish a fixed period and timings can vary. So report your loss as soon as you can, without waiting.

02 Do you have to pay to get lost property back?

No, collecting it on site is free. Show proof of identity or give a precise description at the lost property office. Only postage is charged, with shipping costs that depend on the item and the destination.

03 I lost something on a ride, what should I do?

Report it to the ride’s Cast Members and to the lost property office. Bear in mind that on some rides, the tracks can only be checked after closing, at the end of the day. So an item that fell may only be found in the evening.

04 I lost something on the shuttle or the train, where do I report it?

For the Magical Shuttle, Troov has a dedicated page, separate from the parks’ one. For something lost on the train or the RER (Paris suburban train), go to Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station or use the SNCF lost property form.

05 How do you report and find lost property at Disneyland Paris?

On site, go to the lost property office (at City Hall in Disneyland Park, at Studio Services in the second park) or tell a Cast Member. After you’ve left, report the item online on the official Troov platform. Add a photo and a precise description (colour, brand, contents, date and place) to improve your chances. Collecting it on site is free, only sending it by post is charged.
