At a glance
Mickey’s Halloween Celebration is Disneyland Park’s seasonal Halloween cavalcade (a parade that’s shorter than a classic one). Exclusive to Disneyland Paris, it celebrates two American fall traditions at once, the Harvest Festival and Halloween, and, rare for this kind of show, it’s a parade without a single Disney villain.
Daisy, as Miss Harvest, leads the way, and four floats come next. Riding "Harvest Festival" are Donald, Scrooge McDuck, and Huey, Dewey and Louie, with Winnie the Pooh and his pals plus Pluto close behind. "Clarabelle Cow’s Crazy Farm" carries Horace Horsecollar, the Three Little Pigs, and a crowd of black cats, crows, and owls. Aboard "Horn of Plenty," Mickey, Minnie, Chip ’n’ Dale, and Clarice are surrounded by an abundance of fruit, vegetables, and sunflowers. Closing the procession, "Mickey’s Manor of Illusions" borrows openly from Frontierland’s Phantom Manor, complete with ghostly couples and a wink to the Phantom and the Bride.
A show-stop livens up the pass through Central Plaza, with 84 performers in all. The soundtrack is built around the song "Vive la Vie" (sung in English despite its title), composed by Scott Erickson with lyrics by Fabrice Ferrer, Brendan Milburn, and Valerie Vigoda, and introduced by a Disney adaptation of "Shine On, Harvest Moon" (a 1908 standard made popular by Ruth Etting in 1931). The show-stop comes with "Great Big Year," an original country-rock-inspired tune.
Created by art director Kat de Blois and developed over the seasons by director Emmanuel Lenormand, the cavalcade is a production made just for the Paris park.
Mickey switches outfits right in front of you, mid-parade. Several costume changes along the route never fail to surprise the crowd. The Manor of Illusions float, inspired by Frontierland’s Phantom Manor ride, ranks among the most impressive of the year.

History
The fall entertainment on Main Street U.S.A. has gone through several phases. Mickey’s Halloween Celebration debuted on October 5, 2013, in an early version lasting around 7 minutes, with just two floats: "Harvest Festival," led by Clarabelle Cow, crowned Miss Harvest 2013, and "Horn of Plenty." It brought two characters never before seen at the resort to Disneyland Paris: Clarabelle Cow in 2013, then Horace Horsecollar in 2014, the pair Ub Iwerks and Walt Disney created in 1929 for the cartoon The Plow Boy.
In 2014, the "Clarabelle Cow’s Crazy Farm" float joined the lineup, and Daisy took over the Miss Harvest title at the front of the parade. In 2018, for Mickey’s 90th birthday, the cavalcade got a complete makeover: new costumes, new music, a show-stop added on Central Plaza, the cast raised to 84 performers, and a brand-new fourth float, "Mickey’s Manor of Illusions," inspired by Phantom Manor.
Created by Disney Live Entertainment, this cavalcade sets aside dark looks and leans into country themes and harvest colors. Its very upbeat soundtrack and lively choreography make it a show park regulars consistently love.
Theme & world
The cavalcade celebrates Halloween by blending an American harvest festival, Halloween folklore, and the world of Phantom Manor. Mickey and his friends ride four floats (Harvest Festival, Clarabelle Cow’s Crazy Farm, Horn of Plenty, and Mickey’s Manor of Illusions), with show-stops on Central Plaza set to "Vive la Vie," Disney’s adaptation of "Shine On, Harvest Moon."
Who it’s made for
Pros and cons
The highlights
- Lots of characters
- Show-stop on Central Plaza
- Highly detailed Manor of Illusions float
- Catchy music
The downsides
- Season lasts only about a month
- Big crowds along the route
- Best to arrive 60 min early
- Show-stop mostly visible from Central Plaza
My verdict
I find this cavalcade has a really contagious energy, carried perfectly by a very catchy fall soundtrack. The bright colors and the characters’ special outfits put you in the seasonal mood right away. It’s a cheerful, colorful parade that I really recommend fitting into your fall day at the park.
It’s a hugely popular show, so it inevitably draws big crowds along the route, especially on October weekends. My tip: pick a spot near Sleeping Beauty Castle. The stops planned there usually give you the best chances to interact with the performers.

Map & getting there
You’ll find this parade in Disneyland Park, on the official parade route linking Fantasyland and Town Square through Central Plaza and Main Street U.S.A.
For the first show of the day, it starts in Fantasyland, circles Central Plaza twice with a show-stop, then heads down Main Street U.S.A. to Town Square, where it wraps up just past the Ribbons and Bows Hat Shop.
For the second show, it starts in Town Square, goes up Main Street U.S.A., circles Central Plaza twice with show-stops, then ends in Fantasyland in front of "it’s a small world".
The most sought-after spots are on the right side or in the middle of the Central Plaza hub, at the bottom of the hub facing Main Street, in Town Square facing the castle, or in front of Pizzeria Bella Notte in Fantasyland. The area for guests with reduced mobility is usually set up near the control booth or close to Le Théâtre du Château, and it can move depending on ongoing construction.
Your questions about this show
01 What’s the Halloween parade called, and how often does it run each day?
The Halloween parade is called Mickey’s Halloween Celebration, at Disneyland Park, from September 26 to November 1. It runs twice a day, and the route is reversed from one show to the next. I share the best viewing spots in my Halloween parade guide.
02 How does the paid premium viewing area for parades work?
It’s a reserved area near the castle that you buy in the Disneyland Paris app (under Buy, then Shows and Parades). The price depends on the date, around €20 per person (free for kids under 3). There’s no seating, and you need to be there at least 10 minutes before showtime.
03 How far ahead should you stake out a spot for a parade or show?
Plan on 30 to 45 minutes when it’s quiet, and as much as 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes for the best spots when it’s busy. You’ll find details for each spot in my dedicated articles. If you buy paid access, just show up 10 to 30 minutes ahead.
04 How can you check the day’s schedule for shows and parades?
In the Disneyland Paris app (under Today in the Park) or on my blog. Showtimes change every day depending on the season and crowds, so I recommend checking that same morning.
05 Can shows and parades be canceled?
Yes. In bad weather (strong winds, thunderstorms, steady rain), nighttime shows can be canceled with no notice and no replacement. Parades sometimes are too. Check the status that day in the Disneyland Paris app.
