The Disney Music Festival 2025 at Disneyland Paris, the music season that livened up spring

In spring and summer 2025, Disneyland Paris rolled out its first season built entirely around music. Live concerts, marching bands, and musical character meet-and-greets all over Disneyland Park. This edition is over, so here’s a look back at what went on.

The Disney Music Festival 2025 is a past season. It took place from April 19 to September 7, 2025, at Disneyland Park, and it was the very first edition of the event. The concept fit in one word: music. All spring and summer long, the park filled up with concerts, marching bands, and character meet-and-greets set to music, all played by real musicians.

If you visited that year, this article will bring the highlights back to mind. If you missed it, you’ll find out what it had to offer.

So what was the Disney Music Festival?

A season devoted entirely to music from the Disney and Pixar worlds, performed live. In practice, the park offered more than a dozen concerts and musical meet-and-greets, spread across the different lands and repeated several times a day. What set this season apart was the live musicians: brass, strings, and percussion, playing covers arranged just for the occasion.

Styles ranged from classical to pop, with folk, rock, and electronic in the mix. It all happened in Disneyland Park, not over at the second park, and everything was covered by your park ticket, with no extra charge.

The season drew on France’s Fête de la Musique: turning the park into one big open-air stage. It even had its own song, Viva la Musique, written for the event and released on streaming platforms on April 18, 2025, the day before opening. The whole thing wore a visual identity created by Thomas Gallou, a set designer at Disneyland Paris, carried all the way through to souvenirs and snacks.

When did the 2025 edition take place?

From April 19 to September 7, 2025. So the season spanned spring and much of the summer, wrapping up in early September. The festival took over from the usual spring entertainment and stayed on through the French summer break, a time when the park gets very busy.

Which shows were there to see?

The program blended big stages with smaller, more intimate meet-and-greets across the lands. Here are the moments that defined this edition.

  • Mickey’s musical welcome: in the morning, on Main Street U.S.A., Mickey kicked off the day from the balcony of the train station (Main Street Station).
  • Minnie’s marching band: Minnie led a band of twelve acoustic musicians on Main Street U.S.A., playing Disney and Pixar classics on brass (from "The Bare Necessities" to newer songs), several times a day.
  • Disney Music Hits Concert: musicians and singers teamed up for a punchy pop-rock set of Disney hits at the Videopolis Theater in Discoveryland.
  • Goofy the conductor: standing alone before the castle, Goofy finally got to lead an orchestra, and his musicians were the fountains. Silly on purpose.
  • Miguel’s Fiesta Latina: in Frontierland, Miguel (from the movie Coco) in mariachi attire, surrounded by musicians, for the first time at Disneyland Paris.
  • Mary Poppins and the Pearly Band: Mary Poppins and Bert brought a London jazz feel to the area around the castle.
  • Stitch on the turntables: in Discoveryland, Stitch turned into an intergalactic DJ at Arcade Bêta, with a reservation through the Disneyland Paris app.
  • The grand finale: Mickey hosted a closing celebration at the foot of the castle each evening, with close to ninety performers and musicians on stage for a medley lasting around twenty minutes.

Around the lands, other characters hosted musical meet-and-greets: Moana and her musicians in Adventureland, Rapunzel and Flynn in a village festival mood, plus Timon and Pumbaa, Donald and Daisy. The idea was to run into music everywhere in the park, without necessarily sitting down in front of a stage.

Did you have to pay extra?

No. The whole Disney Music Festival was included in your Disneyland Park ticket. No paid reservation, no separate evening event: all you needed was a valid park ticket for the day of your visit to enjoy the concerts and meet-and-greets.

Is the Disney Music Festival coming back?

As things stand, there’s no sign the Disney Music Festival will be repeated exactly as it was. This was its debut year, and Disneyland Paris tends to switch up its seasons from year to year. If you want to know what’s on at the park these days, look at the seasons and evening events going on now instead of banking on a return. If music and characters are your thing, World Princess Week is one more event worth following, depending on the year.

Frequently asked questions

01 What was the Disney Music Festival all about?

It was Disneyland Paris’s first fully musical season, in 2025. It featured more than a dozen concerts and character meet and greets set to music, performed by live musicians, all across Disneyland Park. It was included in the park ticket.

02 When did the Disney Music Festival 2025 take place?

From April 19 to September 7, 2025. The season spanned spring and summer, French school vacation included. This edition is now over.

03 Which shows were not to be missed?

Highlights included Minnie’s marching band along Main Street U.S.A., the Disney Music Hits Concert at Videopolis, Miguel’s Fiesta Latina over in Frontierland, and a big closing number led by Mickey at the foot of the castle late in the day.

04 Does a season like Halloween or Christmas require a special ticket or an extra fee?

No. The seasons and their entertainment (decorations, parades, shows, meet and greets) are included in a regular park ticket, with no extra paid evening. Two dates are the exception: October 31 and December 31. On those days, you need a dated ticket for that day, among the priciest of the year. The only add-ons left are the usual services, like Premier Access (paid skip-the-line access) or the premium viewing area for the parade. That said, tickets often cost more during high-demand periods like Halloween, Christmas, and French school vacation.
