The Disney Music Festival 2025 is a past season. It ran from 19 April to 7 September 2025 in Disneyland Park, and it was the very first edition of the event. The idea came down to one word: music. Throughout spring and summer, the park filled up with concerts, marching bands and character meets set to music, all played by real musicians.

If you were there that year, this article will bring back the highlights. If you missed it, you’ll find out what it offered.

What was the Disney Music Festival?

A whole season devoted to the music of the Disney and Pixar worlds, played live. In practice, the park offered more than a dozen concerts and musical meets, spread across the different lands and performed several times a day. What set this season apart was the live musicians: brass, strings and percussion, with covers arranged especially for the occasion.

The styles ranged from classical to pop, by way of folk, rock and electronic. Everything took place in Disneyland Park, not in the second park, and it was all included in your park ticket, at no extra cost.

The season took its inspiration from France’s Fête de la Musique: turning the park into one big open-air stage. It had its own song, Viva la Musique, written for the occasion and released on streaming platforms on 18 April 2025, the day before the season opened. The whole thing had a visual identity designed by Thomas Gallou, a set designer at Disneyland Paris, carried right through to the souvenir products and snacks.

When did the 2025 edition take place?

From 19 April to 7 September 2025. So the season covered spring and a good part of the summer, with an end date set for early September. The festival took over from the usual spring entertainment and ran through the French summer school holidays, when the park is very busy.

Which shows were there to see?

The programme mixed big stages and more intimate meets across the lands. Here are the highlights of this edition.

  • Mickey’s musical welcome: in the morning, on Main Street U.S.A., Mickey kicked off the day from the station balcony (Main Street Station).
  • Minnie’s marching band: Minnie leading a band of twelve acoustic musicians on Main Street U.S.A., playing brass versions of Disney and Pixar classics (from "The Bare Necessities" to more recent songs), several times a day.
  • The Disney Music Hits Concert: a high-energy pop-rock concert at the Videopolis theatre in Discoveryland, with musicians and singers performing Disney hits.
  • Goofy the conductor: Goofy lived out his dream of conducting an orchestra, alone in front of the castle, with the fountains as his musicians. A deliberately zany moment.
  • Miguel’s Fiesta Latina: in Frontierland, Miguel (from the film Coco) in mariachi dress, surrounded by musicians, for the first time at Disneyland Paris.
  • Mary Poppins and the Pearly Band: a London jazz atmosphere near the castle, with Mary Poppins and Bert.
  • Stitch on the decks: in Discoveryland, Stitch turned into an intergalactic DJ at the Arcade Bêta, bookable through the Disneyland Paris app.
  • The grand finale: an end-of-day celebration led by Mickey in front of the castle, bringing together nearly ninety performers and musicians for a medley of around twenty minutes.

Across the lands, other characters hosted musical meets: Moana and her musicians in Adventureland, Rapunzel and Flynn with a village party atmosphere, as well as Timon and Pumbaa, Donald and Daisy. The idea was to come across music all over the park, without necessarily sitting down in front of a stage.

Did you have to pay extra?

No. The whole Disney Music Festival was included in the Disneyland Park ticket. No paid booking, no separate evening event: all you needed was a valid ticket for the park on the day of your visit to enjoy the concerts and character meets.

Is the Disney Music Festival coming back?

At this stage, there’s nothing to suggest the Disney Music Festival will return in the same form. It was a first edition, and Disneyland Paris often rotates its seasons from one year to the next. To find out what’s on at the park right now, the best thing is to look at the current seasons and evening events rather than count on a comeback. For music and characters, World Princess Week is another event to keep an eye on, depending on the year.

Frequently asked questions

The first fully musical season at Disneyland Paris, in 2025. It offered more than a dozen concerts and musical character meet and greets, performed by real musicians, all around Disneyland Park. It was included in the admission ticket.

02 When was the Disney Music Festival 2025?

From 19 April to 7 September 2025. The season covered spring and summer, French school holidays included. This edition is now over.

03 Which shows were the highlights?

The standout moments were Minnie’s marching band on Main Street U.S.A., the Disney Music Hits Concert at Videopolis, Miguel’s Fiesta Latina in Frontierland and the grand finale led by Mickey in front of the castle, at the end of the day.

04 Do you need a special ticket or pay extra to enjoy a season (Halloween, Christmas)?

No. The seasons and their entertainment (decorations, parades, shows, meet and greets) are included in the standard admission ticket, with no extra paid evening event. Two dates are the exception: 31 October and 31 December. On those days, you need a dated ticket for that day, among the most expensive of the year. Only the usual services remain optional, like Premier Access (a paid fast track) or the premium viewing area for the parade. That said, tickets are often more expensive during high-demand periods like Halloween, Christmas and the French school holidays.
