Charging for free: bring your own power bank
The easiest and cheapest fix is to plan ahead. Pack a portable charger in your bag, charged to 100% before you leave, along with the right cable. I do this every single time: between the app, the photos, and contactless payments, a phone rarely makes it through a full day. I cover all of this in my guide to what to bring.
Public outlets are hard to come by in the parks. You’ll find a few, for example at Videopolis in Disneyland Park. If you’re stuck, you can also ask at City Hall (Disneyland Park) or at Studio Services (Disney Adventure World).
Renting a portable charger in the parks
If your phone is dead and you have no power bank, Disneyland Paris offers a portable charger rental service. You grab a charger from a station, charge your phone as you go, then return it or swap it at any station in the resort. Lightning and USB-C cables are built in, so it works with every phone.
| Option | Price |
|---|---|
| Returned within 2 hours | €5 |
| Returned the same day | €10 |
| Not returned | €30 |
Portable charger rental prices. A €30 hold is placed on your card when you rent, then adjusted based on when you bring it back.
You pay with a contactless card. In practice, a hold of €30 goes on your card when you pick up the charger: you’re only charged €5 if you bring it back within 2 hours, or €10 if you return it the same day. The full €30 is kept only if you never return it.
In most cases, a single charger refills your phone one to two times over, so you’ll have plenty of power left for the nighttime show.
Where are the rental stations?
You’ll find stations in both parks and in Disney Village. In Disneyland Park, they’re mainly at the entrance, under the Main Street train station, and in Discoveryland. In Disney Adventure World, they’re spread more evenly around the whole park.
