Charging for free: bring your own power bank
The simplest and cheapest solution is to plan ahead. Slip a power bank into your bag, charged to 100% before you leave, with the right cable. I always do this: between the app, photos and contactless payments, a phone rarely lasts a whole day. I cover all of this in my guide to what to pack.
On site, public power sockets are rare. You’ll find a few, for example at Videopolis in Disneyland Park. If you need to, you can also ask at City Hall (Disneyland Park) or at Studio Services (Disney Adventure World).
Hiring a power bank on site
If you’ve run flat without a power bank, Disneyland Paris has a portable power bank hire service. You take a power bank from a station, charge as you walk, then return it or swap it at any station in the resort. Lightning and USB-C cables are built in, so every phone is compatible.
| Option | Price |
|---|---|
| Returned within 2 hours | €5 |
| Returned the same day | €10 |
| Not returned | €30 |
Power bank hire prices. A €30 pre-authorisation is taken when you hire it, then adjusted depending on when you return it.
You pay by contactless card. In practice, a pre-authorisation of €30 is taken on your card when you pick it up: you’re only charged €5 if you return the power bank within 2 hours, or €10 if you return it the same day. The full €30 is only kept if you don’t return it.
A power bank usually gives one to two full charges, more than enough to last until the evening show.
Where are the hire stations?
The stations are spread across both parks and Disney Village. In Disneyland Park, you’ll mostly find them at the entrance, under the Main Street station, and in Discoveryland. In Disney Adventure World, they’re spread more evenly around the whole park.
