At a glance
Marvel Avengers Campus is the Marvel land of Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park) at Disneyland Paris, at the back left of the park.
The land is themed as the American headquarters of the Avengers. It is part of a wider, interconnected story shared with the other Avengers Campus lands around the world (Disney California Adventure and, under the name Stark Expo, Hong Kong Disneyland). The storytelling relies on several major set pieces: the Quinjet (the Avengers’ iconic aircraft), the Avengers Deployment Vehicle (ADV), designed in the story by Tony Stark with Shuri of the Wakanda Design Group to deploy the superheroes, plus F.R.I.D.A.Y. (Female Replacement Intelligent Digital Assistant Youth) and the Hulkbuster.
The land has two rides. Avengers Assemble: Flight Force is a retheme of the former Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster: it keeps the indoor rollercoaster track with its three inversions, in rethemed cars. Visitors team up with Iron Man and Captain Marvel to divert Kree missiles threatening Earth. Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure is an open day at the W.E.B. (Worldwide Engineering Brigade), Tony Stark’s fictional company, where robotic spiders, the Spider-Bots, run riot and multiply. Wearing 3D glasses, visitors stretch out their arms to shoot webs, as the technology tracks their movements. Targets are worth different points depending on their colour (blue, green, gold), and a scoreboard shows the best scores of the day, week and month.
The Hero Training Center, next to Flight Force, hosts meets with Marvel characters.
Dining is built around three venues: PYM Kitchen (themed on Ant-Man and his shrinking and growing experiments), Stark Factory and Super Diner, plus three food trucks: WEB - Worldwide Eating Brigade, FAN-tastic Food Truck and Cassie’s Ice Cream. The main shops are Mission Equipment and Portal Shop. Finally, the land puts on rooftop shows, with stunt performers playing the superheroes (Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther and others) in regular acrobatic sequences.
The land is presented as a secret Avengers recruitment centre for the next generation of superheroes. Visitors enter a base where they are treated as heroes in training, and take part in missions alongside Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man and other Marvel figures.
The common thread is a hero’s training: each ride is a mission (Avengers Assemble: Flight Force = an operational flight, Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure = training to catch Spider-Bots), and the superhero meets keep the immersion going.
The resort’s Marvel land, with its two intense rides. Avengers Assemble: Flight Force (the fastest launched coaster in the resort) and Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure (an interactive dark ride) sit alongside several superhero meet and greets. Opened in 2022, on the footprint of the original Backlot.

History
The site was once the Backlot area, open from 2002 to 2019, which was home to Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith (closed in September 2019), Armageddon: Special Effects and the stunt show Moteurs... Action!.
The land is part of the Disney Adventure World expansion plan announced in February 2018 (D23 Expo Japan), which set out three themed areas: Marvel, Frozen and Star Wars (the last of which was eventually dropped). The transformation of Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster into an Iron Man ride was revealed there, and the name Avengers Campus was confirmed at the 2019 D23 Expo.
Designed by Walt Disney Imagineering, the land was built between 1 April 2019 and summer 2022, with its opening pushed back by the Covid-19 pandemic. Marvel Avengers Campus finally opened on 20 July 2022, on the footprint of the former Backlot.

Who it’s for
Pros and cons
Strong points
- A high-tech interactive ride with motion detection
- Part of a shared storyline across the three Avengers Campus areas around the world
- Regular stunt shows on the rooftops, with performers playing the superheroes
Weak points
- Only two rides
- Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster’s original track was kept, which feels less innovative
My verdict
I like Avengers Campus, but it isn’t my favourite land. What I love most there are the character meets: being able to bump into Iron Man, Spider-Man and the other superheroes in person is what really brings the land to life for me.
I also love the competitive side of Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure: at the exit, the scoreboard always makes me want to go again to beat my record (or someone else’s). I’m the type who never gives up.
My one small gripe: I’m less of a fan of the new Flight Force theme. I had a real soft spot for the atmosphere of its predecessor, Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster, and I miss it a bit.

Your questions about this land
01 What are the lands of Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park) after the transformation?
Disney Adventure World, which replaces the former Walt Disney Studios Park, is now organised into 6 lands. World Premiere Plaza (2 attractions) is home to Tower of Terror, Les Tapis Volants - Flying Carpets Over Agrabah and the World Premiere hub. Avengers Campus (2 attractions) brings together Avengers Assemble: Flight Force and Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure. Worlds of Pixar (7 attractions) groups Crush’s Coaster, Ratatouille, RC Racer, Cars Quatre Roues Rallye, Cars ROAD TRIP, Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin and Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop. World of Frozen (only one ride for now), which opened on 29 March 2026, is home to Frozen Ever After. Adventure Way (1 attraction) has Raiponce Tangled Spin.
02 What are the top rides at Disney Adventure World?
At Disney Adventure World, I have my favourite rides. Tower of Terror, at 63 metres, is the tallest ride in the whole of Disneyland Paris and guarantees big thrills. Avengers Assemble: Flight Force is still the fastest ride in the resort. Crush’s Coaster is a cult favourite but has the longest queues. Ratatouille is an immersive ride you shouldn’t miss. Frozen Ever After, in the new World of Frozen land that opened on 29 March 2026, is the big new ride you really must try. Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure completes the list of highlights at Avengers Campus.
03 How can you avoid long queues for the most popular rides?
To avoid long queues at Disneyland Paris, I combine several tactics. First, Single Rider is free and really speeds things up on the rides that offer it, including Crush’s Coaster, Flight Force, Ratatouille and Spider-Man, as long as you’re happy not to ride with your group. Next, Disney Premier Access is a paid service that gives you priority access to the headline rides. If you’re staying in a Disney hotel, Extra Magic Time lets you into the park before official opening, and it’s the best time to ride the popular attractions back to back without queuing. Finally, heading to the most popular rides during a parade or a big show empties the queues considerably.
