At a glance
Main Street Motors is the adult clothing shop of Main Street U.S.A., at number 220, on the corner of Market Street. It recreates a car garage typical of mid-sized American towns in the early twentieth century, a theme you won’t find in any other Disney park in the world.
The facade has all the hallmarks: a wheel-shaped sign with the slogan "The Finest in Motorcars - Ask the Man who owns one", a 1916 Esso petrol pump outside, an "Auto Service" door at number 210 and an advertising awning reading "Dependable - All New - Affordable".
Inside, you’ll find a black and white chequered floor, a wooden counter, a ceiling with wheel motifs and plenty of original pieces: jerry cans, number plates, headlamps, driving goggles and enamel adverts, including a Coca-Cola poster. A detail to look out for: the clock hung upside down behind the counter, which you can only read in the reflection of a mirror or a pane of glass.
In the window, the 1911 Oakland, the last survivor of the original car museum, is now displayed with Cruella de Vil, a nod to 101 Dalmatians.
The shelves cover adult clothing, Disney jerseys, luggage and accessories: caps, beanies, shoes, watches and wallets.
Cruella and her Dalmatians in front of the 1911 Oakland. The window still holds the original 1911 Oakland Model 33, the last survivor of the car museum designed in 1992. It is now staged with Cruella de Vil as a car fanatic and a few Dalmatians, a nod to the Disney classic. A 1916 petrol pump completes the scene near the garage entrance.
What you’ll find
History
Main Street Motors opened on 12 April 1992 as a car museum that doubled as a showroom: three vintage vehicles from the Neiman Marcus catalogue were for sale (the 1906 Reliable Dayton High Wheeler, the 1908 E.M.F. Gentleman’s Roadster and the 1911 Oakland), along with a 1911 Excelsior Auto-cycle motorcycle. A photo stand let you pose next to the vehicles. The shop switched to sports goods in 1993, before moving on to adult clothing. Of the original display, only the 1911 Oakland is still in the window.

Pros and cons
Strong points
- 1911 Oakland model car kept in the window
- 1916 Esso petrol pump visible outside
- A theme exclusive to Disneyland Paris, found in no other Disney park
- A wide selection of clothing and Disney jerseys
Weak points
- The original photo stand has gone
- Two of the cars and the motorcycle shown at opening have disappeared
- Limited indoor shopping space
My verdict
My favourite stop for adult fashion. The 1900s garage atmosphere is full of real period objects, from the 1916 petrol pump to the clock hung upside down behind the counter, which you can only read in a reflection.
And the window with Cruella de Vil in front of the 1911 Oakland is one of my favourite nods on Main Street. The jerseys and caps here are often more original than in the big general shops.
Julie’s tip
Best time to visit
Go at park opening or mid-afternoon, away from parade time, to browse the period objects at your leisure.

Your questions about this shop
01 Where can you shop for Disney merchandise at Disneyland Paris?
You have four main options: the shops in Disneyland Park (mainly on Main Street U.S.A. and in each land), the shops in Disney Adventure World, the shops in Disney Village (no park ticket needed) and your hotel shop if you’re staying at an official Disney Hotel. I go through the main shops in my dedicated article.
02 Can you shop without carrying your bags all day?
Yes. The Shopping Service lets you have your purchases sent to a collection point, to pick up later in the shop, or as you leave the park in another shop, or even in the shop at your Disney Hotel. The service is free in most shops (above a minimum spend). Just ask the sales assistant when you pay.
03 What are the shops’ opening hours?
The shops in the parks roughly follow the parks’ opening hours, often opening a little earlier on Main Street U.S.A. and closing a little later after the night-time show. The Disney Village shops have their own opening hours, usually later into the evening. The exact times are in the Disneyland Paris app.
04 Can you order Disneyland Paris merchandise online?
There’s no official Disneyland Paris online shop. To buy from home, you can go to the Disney Store website (formerly shopDisney), which sells official Disney merchandise and sometimes a few Disneyland Paris-specific products. At the resort, you buy directly in the shops.
