At a glance
Don’t expect to meet anyone here: this Animated Magic Shot is a video effect created by the Disney PhotoPass service. Once a Disney photographer captures you on the marked spot, an animation brings Moana into the frame. Look for the finished result later in your PhotoPass account.

Your questions about this meet and greet
01 What’s a Disneyland Paris Magic Shot?
A Magic Shot is a photo effect from the Disney PhotoPass service, not an in-person meet and greet. A Disney photographer snaps your picture at a specific spot, then a character (Mickey, Stitch, Olaf...) or an effect is added to the image by computer. You’ll find the result in your PhotoPass account. It’s quick, there’s no line, and it’s a fun way to take home a one-of-a-kind souvenir.
02 Do meet and greets come with PhotoPass photos?
Yes. Most standby and virtual queue meet and greets have an official PhotoPass photographer on hand. If your PhotoPass bundle is active, the photos are included. Otherwise, you can buy them individually afterward. For character meals, you’ll generally snap the photos with your own cameras.
03 How do you meet Disney characters at Disneyland Paris?
There are four main ways to meet a character: in the park by waiting in a regular standby line, at dedicated spots with a virtual queue in the Disneyland Paris app, at a character meal (character dining), or at some official Disney hotels. If you can’t get a meet and greet, you’ll still see the characters in the parades and shows.
04 Which Disney characters can I meet at Disneyland Paris?
You can run into lots of iconic characters: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, the Disney Princesses, Stitch, Woody, Marvel heroes, The Mandalorian and Grogu, Anna and Elsa, and many more. The lineup changes with the seasons and special events.
05 How does a character meal (character dining) work?
You book a restaurant where characters stop by your table during the meal. Each visit comes with a photo and an autograph. Booking is highly recommended, sometimes several weeks ahead. You’ll find prices and the full list in my Restaurants FAQ and in my dedicated article.
