The Disney hotels Christmas gift box only for hotel guests

The Christmas gift box is an offer from the Disney hotels during the Christmas season only. It’s a set of festive items, sold as an extra on top of your stay and only available to guests sleeping at one of the Disney hotels. You won’t find it on general sale or in the park shops.

Each box is tied to the hotel you’re staying at. If you’re at Disney Sequoia Lodge, you can’t order the Disneyland Hotel one: you get the box from your own hotel. So the contents and presentation vary from one hotel to another.

One last thing to remember: the box isn’t included in the room price. It’s a separate purchase, paid on top of your booking.

The contents change with the hotel and the year: here I describe a recent example, as a guide only. A box can include:

• a festive tote bag
• a Santa hat
• four decorative Christmas baubles
• a blanket
• a sweet biscuit
• a Disney or Marvel soft toy
• a wish letter.

At Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, the box has already included a Marvel ornament made by the glassmakers of Maison Arribas, which could be personalised. It’s a good example of what sets one hotel apart from another: the items and how they’re presented vary from year to year and from hotel to hotel. To find out exactly what’s inside at your hotel, the safest bet is to ask its concierge.

The price depends on the hotel and what’s in the box. In the latest edition, it ranges from €149 at the most affordable hotels to €289 at the Disneyland Hotel. Here’s the breakdown by hotel.

These prices are reviewed every year. Which hotels take part changes too: in 2023, the gift box was only available at two hotels (Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel and Newport Bay Club) before expanding to seven. For help picking a hotel, see my guide on choosing your Disney hotel.

To buy a gift box, you need to be staying at a Disney hotel during the Christmas season. There are two ways to do it:

before your trip

call your hotel’s concierge at least 7 days before your arrival date to place your order

on site

go to the concierge during your stay, with your stay pass (the MagicPass for hotel guests).

The boxes are available during the Christmas season, usually from November to early January. The exact dates are set each year. As stock is limited, it’s best to order early if you really want one.
