Do you need a Crit’Air sticker for Disneyland Paris?
No. To get to the park, its car parks and its hotels, no Crit’Air sticker is required. That’s true whatever car you drive, and even if you have no sticker at all.
It’s simple: Disneyland Paris is in Chessy, in the Marne-la-Vallée area, in Seine-et-Marne (77), east of Paris. This town isn’t part of the zone where the sticker can be required. You arrive on the A4 motorway, you park and that’s it. For everything about parking there, see my guide to the Disneyland Paris car park.
The only situation to watch is your journey there, not your arrival at Disneyland Paris. I explain this case further down, but don’t worry: it’s easy to avoid.
Is Disneyland Paris in the ZFE?
No, Disneyland Paris is outside the ZFE, the Greater Paris low emission zone.
This zone covers Paris and the inner suburbs inside the A86 motorway (the A86 itself isn’t included). Chessy, where the park is, lies much further east, outside this area. So you can drive freely around Disneyland Paris, on the A4 and the Francilienne, without worrying about your Crit’Air category.
One point that often causes confusion: the number 77 you sometimes see quoted about the ZFE refers to a number of towns, not the Seine-et-Marne department. The park is indeed in department 77 and stays outside the zone.
What are the Crit’Air sticker and the ZFE?
The Crit’Air sticker is a small round sticker that goes on your windscreen. It rates your car by its emissions, from the cleanest to the most polluting:
- Crit’Air 0 (green, known as E)
- electric and hydrogen vehicles
- Crit’Air 1 to 5
- from the newest and cleanest to the oldest and most polluting
- Unclassified
- the oldest vehicles, which can’t get a sticker
The ZFE is a zone where traffic can be restricted for certain sticker categories, at set times. The aim is to cut pollution in big cities. Several French cities have set one up, including the Greater Paris Metropolis.
In short: the sticker tells you whether you’re allowed to drive in a ZFE. And as Disneyland Paris isn’t in the ZFE, it doesn’t matter for getting to the park.
When do you need to think about it?
Only one case needs attention: if your route goes through Paris or inside the A86 on the way to Disneyland Paris. For example, if you arrive from the west or the south and your satnav takes you through the capital.
On paper, the Greater Paris ZFE bans Crit’Air 4, 5 and unclassified vehicles inside the A86 on weekdays (Monday to Friday, 8:00-20:00), as well as Crit’Air 3 since 2025.
But in practice, no penalties are being enforced: the warning-only phase has been extended. Evenings, weekends and French bank holidays are also free for everyone, which already covers a large part of Disneyland Paris trips.
If you have a Crit’Air 0, 1 or 2 sticker, you’re never affected anyway. For a Crit’Air 3, 4 or 5, the ban exists in theory but isn’t being fined for now: check the latest situation before a journey through Paris.
How to get a Crit’Air sticker
You get the sticker from the official website: certificat-air.gouv.fr. It’s the only official website, run by the French government. You enter the details from your vehicle registration document, pay online and the sticker arrives by post.
It’s cheap: about €3.85 including postage for a car registered in France and about €5.11 for a vehicle registered abroad (international postage). Once you have it, it’s valid for the whole life of the vehicle.
Allow anywhere from a few days to a few weeks for delivery depending on the country it’s sent to: if your journey goes through Paris, order it well ahead. If you’re driving from abroad (Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, Germany and so on), you can order a French sticker for your vehicle on the same website.
My tips for coming by car
To reach Disneyland Paris from outside the region, you can usually go around Paris to the east without ever entering the ZFE. The Francilienne (A104) and the A4 motorway take you straight to the park while staying outside the restricted zone. No Crit’Air worries in that case.
If you’re coming from central Paris, the car often isn’t the best idea, with the traffic and parking. The RER A drops you at Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station, right outside the parks. I explain it all in my guide to getting there by RER A from Paris.
| Your situation | Crit’Air sticker? |
|---|---|
| Access to the park, car parks and hotels | No, never required |
| Arriving from the east (A4 / Francilienne A104) | No, you don’t go through the ZFE |
| Journey through Paris at the weekend or on a French bank holiday | No, open to everyone |
| Journey through Paris on a weekday with Crit’Air 0, 1, 2 or 3 | Not affected by the restrictions |
| Journey through Paris on a weekday with Crit’Air 4, 5 or unclassified | Check on the official websites |
Depending on your situation, here’s whether the Crit’Air sticker affects you on the way to Disneyland Paris (in 2026, subject to change)
