Free parking at Disneyland Paris: the real options

Disneyland Paris parking is already free in several cases, and there are a few ways to park for free near the park. Here’s what really works, and what it’s worth once you count the RER or bus fare.

Yes, you can park for free at Disneyland Paris, but it depends on your situation. If you’re an annual pass holder (Disneyland Pass) or staying at a Disney hotel, Disneyland Paris parking is already free for you.

If you pay full price for the visitor car park (€30 a day for a car), there’s another option: park for free a little further away, then reach the parks by RER A (the Paris suburban train) or by bus.

First I explain the cases where Disneyland Paris parking costs you nothing, then the ways to park elsewhere for free. Above all, I tell you honestly when it’s worth it and when it isn’t, because the RER or bus fare, multiplied by the number of people, can wipe out the saving.

This article goes with the guide to the Disneyland Paris visitor car park and the Indigo car park at Disney Village. Here, I only cover how to avoid paying, or pay less.

When is Disneyland Paris parking free?

The official park car park is free in three situations. Outside these cases, you pay the standard visitor price.

  • You’re staying at a Disney hotel: parking is included. You show the access pass given to you at your hotel’s reception (MagicPass, formerly the Disney Hotel Easy Pass).
  • You’re an annual pass holder (Disneyland Pass): parking is free on every tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold), for a car under 2 m high or a motorbike.
  • You’re staying at a partner hotel: parking is free only if you booked your stay through Disneyland Paris (official website or booking centre), which includes the Explorers group and the other partner hotels. If you booked the hotel directly or through another website, you pay for parking.

Is parking free with an annual pass?

Yes. The visitor car park is free for all annual pass holders (Disneyland Pass), whatever the tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold), for a car (under 2 metres high) or a motorbike.

Just show your pass at the car park entrance. It’s one of the most useful perks of the pass if you often come by car. Details of the tiers and the other perks are in the Disneyland Pass guide.

In every other case, the visitor car park costs €30 a day for a car. That’s the price to compare with the options below. The full details (motorbike and motorhome prices, opening hours) are in the visitor car park guide.

Park for free near Disneyland Paris and reach the parks

The simplest and tidiest option is the Val d’Europe shopping centre: its car park is free, and the parks are just one RER stop away. Here are the possible options, with their limits.

Local bus routes were renumbered with 4 digits in April 2024 (the old 2-digit numbers no longer apply): check the exact route and times on Île-de-France Mobilités before you set off.

Val d’Europe: the free car park for Disneyland Paris

The Val d’Europe shopping centre has a big free car park. It’s the best option because the parks are right next door.

From Val d’Europe, there are two ways to reach the parks:

By RER A: Val d’Europe station is just one stop from the end of the line at Marne-la-Vallée Chessy, the park station. The journey is direct and takes about 3 minutes. It’s the quickest.

By bus: buses 2233 and 2234 go to the area around the park station (Marne-la-Vallée Chessy). Remember to check the times on Île-de-France Mobilités.

Take care not to mix up the free car park at the Val d’Europe shopping centre with the Parc Relais Val d’Europe (run by a different operator), which is paid (around €7 for 24 hours) and closed on Sundays and French bank holidays. If you want to park for free, it’s the shopping centre car park you need.

Clos du Chêne (Montévrain): free but further away

The Clos du Chêne shopping centre, in Montévrain, also has a free car park. There’s no direct bus to the parks: take bus 2222 then bus 2319 (one change). So it’s a bit longer and less convenient than Val d’Europe. Check the route, the connection and the times on Île-de-France Mobilités or Vianavigo before you set off.

Bussy-Saint-Georges station: a paid but cheap park and ride

The car park at Bussy-Saint-Georges station (the park and ride, right next to the station) is paid, but much cheaper than Disneyland Paris parking. Near the station, free parking is limited to blue zones (1 hour 30 minutes maximum with a parking disc), which aren’t suited to a full day.

On the other hand, a little further from the station, you’ll often find free on-street spaces: you can leave your car there for the day, then walk to the station. Remember to check the parking rules on the spot (zone and time allowed).

Bussy’s advantage is the RER: from the station, you’re 2 stops from Marne-la-Vallée Chessy (with just one stop in between, Val d’Europe), which is about 6 to 8 minutes. It’s a fair option to compare if you want to pay less than for Disneyland Paris parking.

Is it really worth it?

Not always. The parking saving can be wiped out by the cost of RER or bus tickets, especially for a family. Do the maths for your own case: the gain (the parking you avoid) against the cost of transport multiplied by the number of people, plus the extra time and walking.

From Val d’Europe, allow, as a rough guide, the price of a return RER A ticket per person. For 1 or 2 people, the total stays well below the €30 for parking: it clearly pays for itself.

For a family of 4 or 5, return tickets for everyone quickly add up to almost the price of parking, and you also lose time and comfort. In that case, the car park is often the best choice.

Frequently asked questions

01 Is parking free with the Disneyland Pass?

Yes. Visitor parking is included with every Disneyland Pass, whatever the tier (Bronze One, Bronze Max, Silver, Gold), for a car or a motorbike. You show your pass (QR Code) at the car park booth or automatic barrier, without paying anything, except on your tier’s blockout days. Motorhomes use a separate car park.

02 Is parking free if I stay at a Disney hotel?

Yes, parking is included in your stay. You show the access pass that the hotel gives you at reception, the MagicPass (formerly Easy Pass). For a partner hotel, parking is only free if you booked through Disneyland Paris.

03 Where can I park for free near Disneyland Paris?

The simplest option is the free car park at the Val d’Europe shopping centre. From there, you reach the parks by RER A (just one stop, about 3 minutes) or by local bus. Make sure you follow the parking conditions displayed on site.

04 Can I leave my car all day in the Val d’Europe car park?

The operator advertises it as free with no time limit, but this car park is meant for shoppers and nothing explicitly allows you to leave your car there all day to go to the park. Check the conditions displayed on site: overstaying may lead to a fine.

05 Is it really worth parking elsewhere to go to Disneyland Paris?

For 1 or 2 people or a short visit, yes: the RER A from Val d’Europe is cheap and the car park is free. For a family of 4 or 5, the price of return tickets multiplied by the number of people soon gets close to the cost of parking, not to mention the extra time and walking.

06 How much is the visitor car park if I’m not a passholder or a Disney hotel guest?

The visitor car park costs €30 per day for a car. This is the price to compare against when deciding whether a free option nearby is worth it.
