At a glance
Disney Cascade of Lights is the daily night-time show at Disney Adventure World, performed once a night at park closing around the Adventure Bay lake. Created by Disney Live Entertainment, it celebrates heroes, paying tribute to Disney, Pixar and Marvel characters but also to every member of the audience.
The story moves through several worlds: Moana, Mulan, Up, Finding Nemo, Hercules, Zootropolis and the Avengers. The music runs through the iconic songs from these films and builds to the original anthem "We Can Be Heroes", written especially for the show, with a brand-new version of "How Far I’ll Go".
The show combines choreographed fountains, four water screens with projections, lasers, video mapping, pyrotechnics, lighting, aerial drones and water drones, a technology never used before in a Disney night-time show, with the devices specially modified to withstand humidity and the nearby pyrotechnics. It is all carried by an orchestral soundtrack played by 90 musicians and recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London. The show is designed to be seen from 360° around the lake, and the Imagineering teams shaped the bay’s layout (different levels, staggered viewpoints, wider spaces) accordingly.
Good to know. The show’s floating structures are moved by 100% electric boats to reduce the carbon footprint.
The first Disney night-time show to combine aerial and water drones. The drones draw Disney silhouettes in the sky and on the surface of the lake at the same time. The 360-degree layout around Adventure Bay gives the same quality from every side of the lake.

History
Until the park’s major redesign, the central lake in the Adventure Way area did not exist. Big night-time events were historically held around the facade of Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or on Place des Stars. Disney Cascade of Lights is therefore the first show staged on this new central water feature, launched on 29 March 2026 when Disney Adventure World officially opened.
Run by Disney Live Entertainment, the show uses the emerging technology of surface water drones, which trace geometric light patterns on the water. They are paired with huge walls of water and light projections on the surrounding banks, creating a show arena that plays to visitors over 360 degrees.
Theme & story
The Disney Cascade of Lights night-time show brings together several Disney, Pixar and Marvel worlds: Moana, Mulan, Hercules, Zootropolis, Finding Nemo, Up and the Avengers. Set to "We Can Be Heroes", each world gets its own scene on the Adventure Bay lake, with its own music and silhouettes formed by aerial and water drones.
Who it’s for
Pros and cons
Strong points
- 360° views around the lake
- Water drones, a first in a Disney park
- Soundtrack recorded at Abbey Road
- Disney, Pixar and Marvel heroes
- High capacity, so less waiting
Weak points
- Only one performance a night
- Partial view between two water screens
- Weather dependent
- Bridge to Arendelle closed while the show is set up
- Loud sound effects for young children
My verdict
It isn’t my favourite night-time show, but it’s still a very good evening show thanks to its incredible visual innovations. Using aerial and water equipment together adds a completely new dimension as night falls. This level of ambition shows that the end-of-day shows are moments of real quality.
Crowds are of course very big in the evening, but smaller than at Disneyland Park. My tip: the show is designed for 360-degree viewing, so don’t fixate on the usual central spot. The side views are just as well designed, with 4 identical water screens.

Map & getting there
The show takes place in Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios), around the central lake of Adventure Bay, along Adventure Way. The audience gathers all around the lake, across several levels of terraces giving 360° visibility. There are several viewing areas: the free area all around the lake, a paid premium viewing area facing the Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, and an area for visitors with reduced mobility to the left of World of Frozen, near the future land dedicated to The Lion King.
Please note: the bridge to Arendelle, a swing bridge, is closed in the evening to let the show’s set-up boats through.
Your questions about this show
01 What is the night-time show at Disney Adventure World?
The current night-time show is called Disney Cascade of Lights, staged on Adventure Bay lake. It lasts around 17 minutes and takes place at park closing, with projections, fountains, drones and pyrotechnics. I share the best spots around the lake in my dedicated article.
02 What is the paid premium viewing area for night-time shows?
A reserved area closer to the stage, which you buy in the Disneyland Paris app. The price depends on the show and the date. You’re asked to be there 10 to 30 minutes before the show.
03 How early should you find a spot for a parade or show?
Allow 30 to 45 minutes at quiet times, and up to 1 hour to 1 hour 30 at busy times for the best spots. The details for each spot are in my dedicated articles. If you buy paid access, just turn up 10 to 30 minutes before.
04 Can you see both fireworks shows on the same night?
No, the two shows often take place at the same time (or slightly staggered), at each park’s closing time. So you have to choose which one to see. With a 2-park ticket, decide in advance and get to the right park before the show starts.
05 Is the night-time show loud?
The noise from the fireworks is very limited and doesn’t usually bother people who are sensitive to that kind of sound. The music, on the other hand, can be quite loud, especially for babies and young children. For them, I recommend ear defenders or earplugs.
