At a glance

Ribbons and Bows Hat Shop sits on a corner at the entrance to Disneyland Park, to the right of Town Square, opposite the Discovery Arcade. The building bears the date 1895, the year Elias Disney, Walt’s father, started out as a contractor in the American Midwest.

Since 2022, the space has worked as a concept store: several themed areas showcase Disney ears, Loungefly bags, clothing and fashion accessories, with a dedicated Pandora area (Pandora is an official partner of Disneyland Paris) and its Disney, Marvel and Pixar collections. The Disney PhotoPass+ service is also available here.

The architecture and decor follow the Victorian style of the land. The upper floor is worth a look: its painted windows pay tribute to the park’s designers and executives. You’ll find the fictional dental practice of "Docteur Bitz" (the initials "E.S. Bitz" are those of Eddie Sotto, Main Street’s art director), with the motto "Our Business Is To Make You Smile", and you can sometimes hear patients screaming from it. The window lists the five art directors of the park when it opened in 1992: Jeff Burke (Frontierland), Tim Delaney (Discoveryland), Tom Morris (Fantasyland), Eddie Sotto (Main Street U.S.A.) and Chris Tietz (Adventureland). Other windows honour Bob Fitzpatrick, the first president of Disneyland Paris, presented as a tailor ("A fit for every occasion"), long-serving heads of human resources and even a sleepwalkers’ club with an owl logo.

What makes it stand out

A multi-brand concept store with a Pandora corner. Once a classic 1992 hat shop, this corner shop became a concept store in 2022, bringing together several worlds: Disney ears, Loungefly bags, fashion accessories and an official Pandora corner with its exclusive Disney, Marvel and Pixar collections. The building bears the date 1895, the year Elias Disney started out in business.

History

Opened on 12 April 1992 as a hat shop, it has changed purpose several times. It was also known as Bixby Brothers and then Bixby Babies (baby items), went back to being a hat shop (hats, beanies, caps, headbands), added Christmas decorations available all year round in spring 2016, then became a multi-brand concept store in 2022, with the arrival of the Pandora corner and the end of the Christmas range. The upstairs windows keep growing: Yves Ben Yeta, from Imagineering Disneyland Paris, was added in 2021 when he retired, followed in 2023 and 2024 by Daniel Delcourt (Operations) and Sylvie Massara (hotel Imagineering).

Best time to visit

Go at park opening or mid-afternoon, away from parade time. Remember to look up at the upstairs windows too.

Map & getting there

The Ribbons and Bows Hat Shop is on Main Street U.S.A., close to Discovery Arcade.

Your questions about this shop

01 Where can you shop for Disney merchandise at Disneyland Paris?

You have four main options: the shops in Disneyland Park (mainly on Main Street U.S.A. and in each land), the shops in Disney Adventure World, the shops in Disney Village (no park ticket needed) and your hotel shop if you’re staying at an official Disney Hotel. I go through the main shops in my dedicated article.

02 Can you shop without carrying your bags all day?

Yes. The Shopping Service lets you have your purchases sent to a collection point, to pick up later in the shop, or as you leave the park in another shop, or even in the shop at your Disney Hotel. The service is free in most shops (above a minimum spend). Just ask the sales assistant when you pay.

03 What are the shops’ opening hours?

The shops in the parks roughly follow the parks’ opening hours, often opening a little earlier on Main Street U.S.A. and closing a little later after the night-time show. The Disney Village shops have their own opening hours, usually later into the evening. The exact times are in the Disneyland Paris app.

04 Can you order Disneyland Paris merchandise online?

There’s no official Disneyland Paris online shop. To buy from home, you can go to the Disney Store website (formerly shopDisney), which sells official Disney merchandise and sometimes a few Disneyland Paris-specific products. At the resort, you buy directly in the shops.
