The Disneyland Hotel, the 5-star hotel at the entrance to Disneyland Park that reopened after its renovation in 2024, offers two Club levels above its standard rooms: Deluxe and the Castle Club. The Castle Club is the most upmarket level, and so the most expensive.

Both give you access to a lounge (a private room for Club guests only), a dedicated reception and breakfast included, but the Castle Club goes further (breakfast with the princesses, a view of the Castle, a private lift to the park and suites). This article stays neutral and factual, to help you choose between the two.

The two Club levels at the Disneyland Hotel

"Club" is a set of premium services added to your room, not a separate type of room. At the Disneyland Hotel, there are three tiers: standard room < Deluxe < Castle Club. A standard room already puts you in the hotel and gives you access to its facilities. Upgrading to Club adds access to a private space (the lounge), a dedicated reception and concierge and breakfast included, served in a quieter setting.

With a standard room, breakfast is served at the Royal Banquet, which is beautifully decorated. With Club, you have it in the private lounge, which is more relaxed and less busy. Deluxe is the first Club tier. The Castle Club, the highest, adds even more exclusive extras.

The Deluxe level

The Deluxe Experience includes a Deluxe room, access to the Deluxe Lounge and extra services. Breakfast and the afternoon snack (Tea Time) are included there, but without the characters. It’s the first tier above the standard rooms.

  • Private reception and concierge A dedicated welcome desk, separate from the hotel’s main reception.
  • The Deluxe Lounge A private space overlooking the Fantasia Gardens (the gardens at the hotel entrance), where breakfast and Tea Time are served.
  • Buffet breakfast Served in the lounge in the morning, without characters.
  • Afternoon Tea Time An afternoon snack included in the lounge.
  • Unlimited soft drinks Available all day in the Deluxe Lounge.
  • Differently decorated room Carefully designed, with a canopy over the bed, themed around Disney royal stories.

The Castle Club level

The Castle Club is the most upmarket level of the Disneyland Hotel: a hotel within the hotel, with its top two floors reserved for it. It includes everything Deluxe offers and adds breakfast with the princesses, champagne, a lounge with a view of the Castle, a private lift to the park, private floors and suites.

  • Breakfast with the princesses Included. Mickey, Minnie and princesses visit your table (in rotation). The characters can change from one day to the next.
  • Champagne at breakfast One complimentary glass for adults, included in the breakfast drinks.
  • Castle Club Lounge with a view of the Castle A view of Sleeping Beauty Castle, from where you can watch the night-time show and the fireworks.
  • Themed Tea Time A royal afternoon snack, served with a touch of theatre.
  • Private lift to Disneyland Park Direct access to the park (up to the turnstiles) without going back through reception.
  • Private floors The hotel’s top two floors, reserved for Castle Club guests, with princesses visiting the floor.
  • Suites The Disneyland Hotel’s suites are only available at Castle Club level.
  • Private reception and concierge A dedicated welcome desk on the Castle Club floor.

The private lift to Disneyland Park

The Castle Club has a private lift that takes you straight down to Disneyland Park, right up to the entrance turnstiles. You don’t need to go back through the hotel reception. Watch out: this lift makes getting into the park easier, but it doesn’t replace your ticket or annual pass, which you still need to get in (see below).

The view from the Castle Club Lounge

The Castle Club Lounge overlooks Sleeping Beauty Castle. From here, you can watch the night-time show and the fireworks over the park.

That’s the difference in view compared with the Deluxe Lounge, which overlooks the Fantasia Gardens. The Castle Club Lounge is strictly for its own guests and offers unlimited drinks throughout the day (a wider selection than in Deluxe).

The differences between the Deluxe level and the Castle Club at the Disneyland Hotel.

The rooms and their 11 royal stories

Good to know: the rooms are the same in Deluxe and Castle Club. They are themed around 11 Disney royal stories: Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, Frozen, Moana and Raya and the Last Dragon. They measure up to around 42 m² and have an illuminated canopy over the bed.

So the difference between the two levels isn’t the room itself, but the services that come with it.

At Castle Club level, the in-room extras are a notch higher: better-quality bathrobes and slippers (the bathrobe stays in the room when you leave), more upmarket toiletries, products for children and an included minibar. These details can change, so I’d recommend checking exactly what’s included when you book.

The price

Club room prices aren’t published and vary a lot depending on the time of year, the offer and availability. What is certain is the order: a standard room costs less than a Deluxe one, and a Deluxe one less than the Castle Club, which remains the most expensive level. To find out the price for your dates, you’ll need to go through a booking request.

I haven’t stayed in a Club room myself, so I’m sticking to the facts, without giving an opinion on value for money. For price ranges and budgeting, see my guide to Disneyland Paris prices.

Money-saving tip: join a Club room

Booking and getting into the parks

Club rooms, and the Castle Club in particular, are usually booked by phone through the Disneyland Paris booking line (+33 1 60 30 60 90), who will give you availability and the price for your dates. As for park access, the room doesn’t include park entry. You need a valid ticket or annual pass on top of your stay to get into the parks.

If you have an annual pass, you don’t need to book your visit, unless your pass has blockout dates at that time.

The Disneyland Hotel isn’t the only one with Club floors: Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel (Empire State Club), the Newport Bay Club (Compass Club) and the Sequoia Lodge (Golden Forest Club) each have their own Club offer, which I cover in my guide to Club rooms at the other Disney hotels. Frequently asked questions

01 What’s the difference between Deluxe and Castle Club at the Disneyland Hotel?

The Castle Club includes everything the Deluxe offers, and adds breakfast with the princesses, champagne, a lounge looking out over the Castle (night-time show and fireworks), a private lift into the park, dedicated floors and suites. The rooms themselves are identical on both levels.

02 Deluxe or Castle Club: which should you choose?

It depends on your priorities. The Deluxe is enough if what you mainly want is a private lounge, plus breakfast and an afternoon snack included in a calm setting. The Castle Club is for anyone who wants breakfast with the princesses, the view of the Castle, the private lift into the park or a suite.

03 Is the princess breakfast included, and in which Club?

The princess breakfast is exclusive to the Castle Club at the Disneyland Hotel: it’s included there, with a complimentary glass of champagne for adults, and the princesses present can vary from day to day. In the other Club lounges (Empire State Club, Compass Club, Golden Forest Club), as well as in Deluxe rooms (the Disneyland Hotel’s upper room tier), breakfast is included as a buffet but without characters.

04 How much is a Club room at the Disneyland Hotel?

Prices aren’t published and vary by period and offer. The only certainty is the order: standard, then Deluxe, then Castle Club, which is the most expensive. For a price on your dates, you need to send a booking request.

05 Is Premier Access included with a Club room?

No. Premier Access is never included, neither in Deluxe nor in Castle Club. The Castle Club’s private lift makes getting into the park easier, but gives no advantage in the queues.

06 How do you book a Castle Club (or Deluxe) room at the Disneyland Hotel?

Castle Club rooms aren’t usually shown online: you need to call the Disneyland Paris booking line directly on +33 1 60 30 60 90. Availability is very limited (the Castle Club only takes up the top two floors of the Disneyland Hotel), so I recommend booking several months ahead, especially for the French school holidays. Also plan for park entry: the room doesn’t include a ticket, so you’ll need a valid ticket or pass on top.

07 Do you need to pay for Premier Access on a first visit?

No, it isn’t essential. If you arrive at park opening and head for the headline rides first, you’ll cover the essentials without paying. Premier Access (a paid fast track, per ride or as a bundle) is mainly worth it on very busy days or if you can’t arrive early. It’s never included, either with a ticket or with a hotel room.
