PanoraMagique: see all of Disneyland Paris from a tethered balloon

A helium tethered balloon that rises around a hundred metres above Lake Disney. It’s a paid activity at Disney Village, weather permitting, with a 360° view over both parks (and the Eiffel Tower on a clear day).

PanoraMagique is the tethered balloon you can see floating above Disney Village. You go up in it to rise above it all and see the whole of Disneyland Paris from the sky. Just to be clear, this isn’t the little character souvenir balloon: here, you ride inside it.

Disney Village is free to enter, but the balloon is a paid activity. You need a separate ticket, independent of your park entry. As for opening times, expect it to run from morning to evening, with longer hours in peak season. They vary with the season and the weather, so check the day’s opening times on site or in the app before you go.

What is the Disney Village balloon (PanoraMagique)?

It’s a helium tethered balloon, attached to the ground by a cable. It sits above Lake Disney, in Disney Village, and has been running since 2005.

Here’s how it works: you step into a large gondola, the balloon rises straight up, you stay in the air for a few minutes, then you come back down to the same spot.

What can you see?

Once at the top, you get a 360° view, up to about 20 km (12 miles) on a clear day.

You can see Disney Village, both parks (Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World) and, on a clear day, the Eiffel Tower far away, tiny in the distance. It’s a chance to see the whole of Disneyland Paris in a single glance.

How long is the flight? How high does it go?

The balloon rises around a hundred metres above the lake. Expect a few minutes in the air and around ten minutes in total, counting the ascent, the flight and the descent. The gondola holds up to 30 passengers.

My tips

  • Buy online It’s a little cheaper, and the ticket works on your smartphone (no need to print it).
  • Come early in the morning The flight is calmer and there are fewer people.
  • Check the weather before you leave The flight can be cancelled if it’s windy.
  • Park in the Disney Village car park It’s the closest car park to the balloon, by the lake.

Frequently asked questions

01 Do you need a park ticket to ride PanoraMagique?

No. Disney Village is free to enter and PanoraMagique has its own ticket. You don’t need a park ticket to take the flight.

02 Do you need to book PanoraMagique in advance?

No: there’s no booking, tickets are bought on the spot, at the foot of the balloon in Disney Village. As flights depend on the weather (especially the wind), the safest bet is to turn up and check that the balloon is actually flying that day.
