Disneyland Paris Single Rider: a free queue to cut your wait

The Disneyland Paris Single Rider queue lets solo riders fill empty seats and often cuts their wait. It’s free with no booking, but you ride apart from your group: here’s how it works and when to use it.

Single Rider is the solo queue at Disneyland Paris. It’s free and open to visitors who are happy to ride alone. Here’s how it works: it fills the empty seats left by groups. As a result, the wait is often shorter than in the regular queue.

The trade-off is simple. You queue with your group, but you ride apart from the others. Handy for riding coaster after coaster, less suited if you want to share the moment.

What is the Single Rider queue?

Single Rider is a special queue on some rides. It’s used to fill the seats left empty in the ride vehicles.

When a group takes four of the five seats, the empty seat goes to a solo rider from the Single Rider queue. The ride runs fuller, and you save time along the way.

It’s the free option compared with Premier Access, the paid fast track. You pay nothing, as access is included in your ticket.

How does it work?

On the rides that offer it, you’ll often find three queues at the entrance: the regular queue, the Premier Access queue and the Single Rider queue.

Look out for the Single Rider signs on site, go in and say how many of you there are. No booking, no app, no kiosk: you just turn up at the entrance.

You can queue as a group. But when it’s time to board, each person is placed individually to fill an empty seat. So you ride apart from your group. Don’t worry: you do the same ride at the same time, just not in the same vehicle or side by side.

Which rides offer Single Rider?

Several rides offer Single Rider, mostly at Disney Adventure World and a few at Disneyland Park. The list changes from one year to the next, so here are the rides concerned in 2026.

Time saved, ride by ride

Every day I record the queue times shown in both parks. Here’s the usual queue time over the day, in the regular queue and in Single Rider. At the top of the table are the rides where you save the most time.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • It’s free and included in your ticket, open to everyone (subject to the ride’s height and safety requirements).
  • The wait is often shorter than in the regular queue, especially at peak times.
  • Ideal for solo visitors and for riding thrill rides back to back.
  • No booking: you just turn up at the queue.

Cons

  • You ride apart from your group: you don’t get to share the ride.
  • Not always faster: on quiet days, the difference from the regular queue is small.
  • On some days, the Single Rider queue itself can be long (I’ve sometimes waited quite a while in some of them).
  • Not recommended for a young child who must stay with an adult.

Single Rider or Premier Access?

Both services cut your queue time, but they don’t do the same job.

Single Rider is free and needs no booked time slot, but you ride alone. Premier Access is paid, you book a time slot and you stay with your group.

The choice is simple. If you want to save time without paying and don’t mind riding alone: Single Rider. If you want to keep your group together with a guaranteed time slot: Premier Access.

My tips

  • Check the signs on site or the Disneyland Paris app: some Single Rider queues close depending on crowd levels.
  • Go for the busiest times: that’s when the difference from the regular queue is clearest.
  • In a group, mix it up: one ride together in the regular queue, another separately in Single Rider.
  • Don’t skip the beautifully themed queues: on some rides, the regular queue is part of the experience (Indiana Jones, Ratatouille).
  • Bear in mind that the time saved isn’t guaranteed on quiet days.

Frequently asked questions

01 What is Single Rider and which rides have it?

Single Rider is a free queue, included in your ticket, that seats you alone to fill an empty seat. It’s available on some rides, mainly in Disney Adventure World (Crush’s Coaster, RC Racer, Avengers Flight Force…) and a few in Disneyland Park (Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril). The list changes: check the app on the day of your visit. You ride alone, so it isn’t suitable for young children who need to stay with an adult.

02 Is the Single Rider queue really quicker?

Often yes, especially at peak times: on Crush’s Coaster or Ratatouille, I usually save 20 to 30 minutes compared with the regular queue. But not always: on quiet days, the gap shrinks or even reverses, and the Single Rider queue itself can be busy. Check the queue times shown before choosing your queue. If you’re travelling alone or don’t mind being split up for a moment, it’s the most effective free tool for making the most of your day.

03 Can you stay with your group in Single Rider?

In the queue, yes, you wait together. On the ride, no: each person is seated individually to fill an empty seat. So you all do the same ride, just not in the same vehicle.

04 Do you need to book Single Rider?

No. You can’t book Single Rider. You just go straight to the Single Rider queue entrance on site, with no app or kiosk. That’s a difference from Premier Access, which you book and pay for in the app.

05 What’s the difference between Single Rider and Premier Access?

Single Rider is free, has no time slot, and you ride alone. Premier Access costs extra, you book a time slot and you stay with your group. The first saves you time without paying anything, the second guarantees a quicker ride while keeping your group together.
