Fancy a break somewhere cool or an evening film after the park? Disney Village is home to a large cinema, the Gaumont Disney Village, which is completely free to enter: you walk in as you would at any multiplex, no park ticket needed. Below I go through the practical details (number of screens, showtimes, prices) and my tips for making the most of it.
The Disney Village cinema at a glance
The Disney Village cinema opened in 1997 with eight screens. It was extended in 2002 to 15 screens, then opened its IMAX screen in 2004.
It’s a multiplex in Disney Village, right next to the Disneyland Paris parks. It shows films in large formats such as IMAX and 4DX.
For now it’s called Gaumont Disney Village. It will soon be renamed Pathé Disney Village, in line with the Pathé cinema chain in France.
- One 4DX screen with special effects
- An arcade games area
- An ice cream stand
- A sweet shop area (sweets and chocolates)
- Popcorn and drinks counters
- A cinema accessible to wheelchair users (lifts and dedicated spaces)
IMAX, 4DX or a standard screen?
Three types of screen sit side by side at Disney Village. Here’s how to choose depending on what you’re after.
| Screen format | What it is | Who it’s for | Price (full price) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard screen | A standard 2D screening, comfortable and good for any film | Everyone, the best value per screening | €12.90 |
| IMAX screen | A giant screen that fills much of your field of vision, a very sharp picture and immersive sound | Blockbusters and big films worth seeing on a big screen | €20.90 |
| 4DX screen | Seats that move, vibrate and tilt, plus wind, water, smoke and smells. Films are often in 3D | People who want movement and thrills | €21.90 |

What is the IMAX screen?
An IMAX screen combines a giant screen that fills much of your field of vision with high-definition projection, and immersive sound coming from all around the auditorium.
There are still few IMAX screens this size in France. I recommend trying it at least once: it’s my favourite format for a big film.
What is the 4DX screen?
A 4DX screen combines the film with special effects: the seats move, vibrate and tilt, with wind, water, smoke, smells and flashes of light on top. Films shown in 4DX are often in 3D.
So you need to be able to handle the movement, the effects and the 3D all at once. It’s not recommended if you suffer from motion sickness.

Opening times and getting there
The cinema usually has showtimes between 10:30 in the morning and 22:30 in the evening. Times vary with the programme and the season.
To get there, just head to Disney Village, an area that’s free to enter. The cinema is right next to the World of Disney shop. You can park in the Disneyland Paris visitor car park or the Indigo car park at Disney Village.
The great thing about the Village is how easily you can combine things: dinner at Disney Village before the film, or a ride on PanoraMagique, the balloon that flies over the Village, straight after your film.

Does the Disney Village cinema have free parking?
Yes, partly. If you park in the Indigo car park at Disney Village, you get 2 hours free at weekends and 3 hours on weekdays thanks to your cinema ticket.

Programme and original-language films
The Disney Village cinema has two advantages over many other cinemas.
A wider programme. On top of the national releases, it offers special screenings, previews and, at certain times, re-releases of Disney classics during special events.
Original-language screenings. Most films are shown in VF (dubbed into French). But some blockbusters, especially Disney and Marvel films, are regularly shown in VOSTFR (original version with French subtitles). Handy if you’re a tourist or would rather watch the film in English.
My tips for your visit
- Book online. You choose your seat in advance and skip the queue. Tickets can usually be cancelled free of charge up to 15 minutes before the film.
- With a child. Booster seats are usually available at the entrance to each screen, so younger children are comfortable and can see properly.
- As a couple. Some screens have two-seater "sofa" seats, so you can enjoy the film side by side.
- Arrive in good time. Get there a few minutes early, especially at weekends and in the school holidays. Several films can start at the same time. As the cinema is in the Village, also allow 5 to 10 minutes for the security check at the entrance.
- Make the most of the snacks. Popcorn and drink combos are often better value than buying separately. Also scan your Pathé/Gaumont loyalty account in the app to collect the perks.
- During the film. Put your phone and smartwatch on silent and turn down the screen brightness so you don’t disturb other filmgoers.
- Check the format. Make sure of the type of screening (2D, 3D, IMAX, 4DX or VOSTFR, meaning the original version with French subtitles) to avoid any mix-up on the day.
