At a glance
La Boutique du Château is the only shop entirely devoted to Christmas at Disneyland Paris, open all year round inside Sleeping Beauty Castle itself, in Fantasyland.
The entrance is in the castle hall, opposite the Merlin l’Enchanteur shop: a doorway carved into the stone, topped with a backlit stained-glass panel bearing the shop’s name in medieval calligraphy, with a castle-shaped crest and holly leaves.
The interior carries on the world of the 1959 animated film: a barrel vault with ribs inspired by the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris, painted red, green and blue on an off-white background, vault panels with holly tracery, fleur-de-lis capitals and electric candle lights. The red and green floor tiles copy exactly the pattern of Princess Aurora’s bedroom in the film.
A stone fireplace pays tribute to animators Marc Davis and John Lounsbery by recreating the scene from the "Once Upon a Dream" sequence: an owl wears Prince Phillip’s cape, two birds hold it up, a squirrel holds his hat and rabbits slip into his boots. The stained-glass windows complete the picture: one shows King Hubert’s crown framed by pine cones, a nod to the forest where Aurora takes refuge. Another shows Kings Hubert and Stefan raising a toast, a reference to the "Skumps" musical number.
The carved oak cabinets and display stands, topped with crowns and castles, hold tree decorations, baubles, hanging ornaments, electric trains, costumes, tableware and festive gifts.
A year-round Christmas shop inside the castle. Set in the east wing of Sleeping Beauty Castle, it is the only shop in Disneyland Park entirely devoted to Christmas, open all year round. The entrance is marked by a backlit stained-glass panel bearing its name in medieval calligraphy reminiscent of monastic manuscripts, and the doorway is carved straight into the castle stone.
What you’ll find
History
The shop opened with the park on 12 April 1992. In its early days, it also sold items for other holidays in the calendar (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day) and an exclusive Sleeping Beauty collection, before focusing entirely on Christmas.

Pros and cons
Strong points
- Carved columns and medieval-style stained glass
- Christmas range available all year round
- Plenty of hidden references to the Sleeping Beauty classic
- One-of-a-kind location inside Sleeping Beauty Castle
Weak points
- Shop floor limited by the castle’s architecture
- Heavy crowds because of its central location
- A Christmas-only range that may appeal less in the height of summer
My verdict

Best time to visit
Drop in early in the day or late in the morning: the shop is small and the castle courtyard fills up fast.

Your questions about this shop
01 Where can you shop for Disney merchandise at Disneyland Paris?
You have four main options: the shops in Disneyland Park (mainly on Main Street U.S.A. and in each land), the shops in Disney Adventure World, the shops in Disney Village (no park ticket needed) and your hotel shop if you’re staying at an official Disney Hotel. I go through the main shops in my dedicated article.
02 Can you shop without carrying your bags all day?
Yes. The Shopping Service lets you have your purchases sent to a collection point, to pick up later in the shop, or as you leave the park in another shop, or even in the shop at your Disney Hotel. The service is free in most shops (above a minimum spend). Just ask the sales assistant when you pay.
03 What are the shops’ opening hours?
The shops in the parks roughly follow the parks’ opening hours, often opening a little earlier on Main Street U.S.A. and closing a little later after the night-time show. The Disney Village shops have their own opening hours, usually later into the evening. The exact times are in the Disneyland Paris app.
04 Can you order Disneyland Paris merchandise online?
There’s no official Disneyland Paris online shop. To buy from home, you can go to the Disney Store website (formerly shopDisney), which sells official Disney merchandise and sometimes a few Disneyland Paris-specific products. At the resort, you buy directly in the shops.
