This article lists the past editions of the Halloween season at Disneyland Paris, year by year, starting with the most recent. You’ll find the 2025, 2024 and 2023 seasons, each one laid out the same way so you can compare the programmes and remember what you experienced.

The name of the season never changes: it’s the Disney Halloween Festival every year. Several elements come back from one edition to the next, such as the Mickey’s Halloween Celebration parade, meet and greets with the Disney Villains, the autumn decorations, seasonal food and dedicated merch.

What this article focuses on are the elements that change: the dates, the new additions, that year’s menus and the characters who appeared that season.

Halloween 2025

The 2025 Disney Halloween Festival ran from 1 October to 2 November 2025. As they do every year, both parks extended their opening hours until 23:00 on 31 October. This edition stood out for something new I’d long been waiting for: brand-new Halloween projections on the facades of Main Street U.S.A., a first at Disneyland Paris.

  • The parade Mickey’s Halloween Celebration, performed twice a day, with an expanded cavalcade: José Carioca and Panchito joined Donald. For full details of the parade, see my parade guide.
  • The night-time show New Halloween projections lit up the facades of Main Street U.S.A., only on 4, 5, 11 and 12 October, then from 19 October to 2 November. They started at nightfall and stopped 45 minutes before the Disney Tales of Magic show.
  • The decorations Pumpkins, skeletons and ghosts dressed the park. The big new feature that year: the Disneyland Hotel was decorated for Halloween, a first since it reopened.
  • Character meets and the Villains Skeleton Goofy, ghostly Chip ’n’ Dale and their friends in costume. On the Villains side: Cruella, Jafar, the Queen of Hearts, Maleficent and Captain Hook. For everything about the Villains, see the Villains guide.
  • The activities This time an M&M’s treasure hunt took place in the park: you had to spot the doors of the mystical beings in the lands using a map picked up at the Boardwalk Candy Palace counter, and the reward was a pack of mini M&M’s and 15% off when you spent €20 or more. See my guide to Halloween with the family.

Halloween 2025 food and merch

For food, the Lucky Nugget Saloon in Frontierland was renamed the Unlucky Nugget Saloon for the season, with a special menu inspired by Phantom Manor. At the Last Chance Cafe, you could find eclairs decorated with the Phantom Manor silhouettes.

The rest of the park and the Disney hotels offered seasonal snacks and drinks. Disney didn’t release detailed prices that year, so I’d rather not give any figures.

The shops sold the season’s Disney Halloween merchandise collection. To explore the places to eat and shop, see my restaurants and my shops.

Halloween 2024

The 2024 Disney Halloween Festival ran from 1 October to 3 November 2024. On 31 October, both parks extended their opening hours until 23:00. The big story of this edition was the arrival of a new character fans had been asking for: Mother Gothel, Rapunzel’s "adoptive" mother, at Disneyland Paris for the first time.

  • The parade Mickey’s Halloween Celebration, twice a day, with a new float that year: Mickey’s Manor of Illusions. For full details of the parade, see my parade guide.
  • The night-time show A Halloween sequence was added to Disney Electrical Sky Parade, the drone show: it wasn’t a new show, but Halloween-themed scenes added to the existing show to round off the day.
  • The decorations Pumpkins, skeletons and ghosts gave the park an autumn atmosphere.
  • Character meets and the Villains Goofy, Chip ’n’ Dale and their friends in Halloween costumes. On the Villains side: Cruella, Jafar, Captain Hook and the big newcomer Mother Gothel, there all season. You could also meet Miguel (Coco) in Frontierland and vampire Stitch in Discoveryland. For everything about the Villains, see the Villains guide.
  • The activities This year the M&M’s treasure hunt was held at Disney Village, with an M&M’s area set up in Frontierland. See my guide to Halloween with the family.

Restaurants and bars, both in the park and at the hotels, served original Halloween-themed meals and cocktails. Disney didn’t give details of the dishes or prices that season, so I’m sticking to what was officially announced, without making up any prices.

In the shops, you’d find a collection of exclusive Halloween products. To explore the places to eat and shop, see my restaurants and my shops.

Halloween 2023

The 2023 Disney Halloween Festival ran from 1 October to 5 November 2023. On 31 October, opening hours were extended until 23:00, with no paid evening event that year: you got in with a standard day ticket and costumes were allowed (see the Disney Halloween Party).

It’s the first season I documented in detail and the one I use as a benchmark to compare the editions that followed: its new food addition was the Halloween cocktails.

  • The parade Mickey’s Halloween Celebration, led by the Mischievous Spirits. For the full details of the parade, see my parade guide.
  • The night-time show At the castle, the Villains’ twilight show was playing, a show running since 2022 and brought back that season.
  • The decorations A strong autumn look, with around 37,000 seasonal plants, pumpkins and brighter autumn colours all over the park.
  • Character meets and the Villains The characters were split into three themed teams: the Villains, the Mysterious Hosts and the Mischievous Spirits. On the Villains’ side: Maleficent, Cruella, Jafar, Gaston, Oogie Boogie, Ursula and Captain Hook. For everything about the Villains, see the Villains guide.
  • Entertainment This edition relied mainly on the parades, character meets and autumn decorations, with no M&M’s treasure hunt, which only arrived in later seasons. For an overview of family entertainment, see my guide to Halloween with kids.

Frequently asked questions

01 What is the Halloween season at Disneyland Paris called?

The season is called the Disney Halloween Festival. It’s the same official name every year, only the programme and the new features change from one edition to the next.

02 Is there still a paid Halloween party at Disneyland Paris?

No. The former Disney Halloween Party, with its separate ticket, held its last edition in 2022 and was dropped in 2023. Today the whole Halloween season is included in the standard admission ticket, and there’s no sign of it coming back.
