Disneyland Paris collectible cards: free, and how to get them

Disneyland Paris collectible cards are paper cards to collect, handed out for free by the park during special events and Disney film releases. To get one, you need to politely ask the Cast Members on the custodial team, the people who keep the park clean. That’s it, there’s nothing to buy.

I’ve been collecting these cards for several years, and it’s become a little habit every time I visit during an event. Here’s how it works and, above all, how to get some without disturbing the teams.

They’re paper collectible cards, about the size of a playing card. Each card shows a character, a ride or an image linked to a specific moment. They’re designed to be collected, a bit like souvenir postcards, except they’re never sold.

Disneyland Paris releases them for two kinds of occasions:

Park events: the seasons (Halloween, Christmas, World Princess Week), character birthdays (Mickey, Minnie, Donald) or the opening of a new ride or show.

Disney film and series releases: with each big release, one or more cards may appear. Editions have come out for big Pixar and Star Wars releases and for new Disney feature films. The full list of editions released so far is further down.

Depending on the event, there can be anything from a single card to around ten different cards to collect.

Yes, they’re completely free. The park doesn’t sell them anywhere, not in the shops or anywhere else. They’re not souvenirs to buy, but cards given away while an event is on. The only "cost" is being there at the right time and asking nicely.

To get a collectible card, you need to politely ask a Cast Member on the custodial team, the people who keep the park clean. A smile and a friendly request are often all it takes.

The cards are only available for short periods, often a few days, for the length of the event or season, and stock is limited. So it’s best to go early in the event, while there’s still plenty of stock.

The cards are handed out by the Cast Members on the custodial team. They’re the Cast Members in charge of cleaning and maintaining the park, the ones you see sweeping the paths throughout the day.

They’re the ones carrying the cards, not the shops or Guest Relations. If you’re not sure who to ask, look for a Cast Member in a maintenance uniform and ask them politely.

Good to know: the Disneyland Paris hotels also have their own collectible cards, a separate range from the ones handed out in the parks.

Just one card of each type, per person. It’s the common-sense rule to follow so everyone gets a chance. If an edition has several different cards, you can ask for one of each, but not the same one more than once.

Here’s the list of editions released so far, from newest to oldest, with their date and the number of cards in each edition.

Over my stays, I’ve collected a good number of these cards. Here’s my personal collection, from the first editions in 2022 to the latest: it gives you a real idea of how varied they are (princesses, Halloween villains, film releases, park anniversaries) before you go hunting for yours.

Collectible cards are a free souvenir with a difference. If you’re putting together your list of things to bring home from the park, I also recommend reading which souvenirs to bring back from Disneyland Paris. And to find where to shop in the park, check out all the shops in the park.
